Attention please
Hey everyone,
I'm writing this because something happened today that I can no longer ignore. I logged in hoping to post an update, only to find comments on Royally Obsessed and Solitary Princess calling me a misogynist, accusing me of traumatizing readers, and actively encouraging people to report my work.
I want to make one thing clear: I am done accepting this kind of behavior.
I wrote Royally Obsessed when I was 17. Like anyone at that age, I was still learning about the world. If certain themes in my early work trigger you, you always have the option to stop reading. Constructive feedback is welcome, but mobilizing people to report my stories crosses a line.
Over the years, I have turned down numerous opportunities to put my books behind a paywall. While many authors rightfully monetize their work, I chose to keep mine free out of appreciation for my readers. Getting threatened with reports in return is incredibly disheartening.
I am already dealing with a lot of stress from my studies, and I refuse to let my writing space become another source of anxiety. Because of this, I will be taking down many of my books this Sunday and transitioning them to paid platforms.
You are welcome to continue reading if you'd like, but I need to set boundaries for my own well-being. Thank you to everyone who has supported me genuinely over the years.
