Chapter 30 Lights, Magic, Reindeer
Lights, Magic, Reindeer
The snow continued to dissolve into sparks around me as my ice platform melted beneath my feet.
“Citizens of the North Pole!” My dad’s voice boomed across the square. “The holiday season has officially begun! Enjoy tonight’s festivities; tomorrow we begin the final countdown to Christmas Eve!”
The crowd erupted into cheers so thunderous that the sound vibrated through my chest. Some openly wept, and others jumped up and down.
My mom stepped forward, her hand slipping into my dad’s. The pride radiating from her face was so bright it could have powered the tree lights all on its own. She nodded at me, a small gesture laden with a thousand unspoken words.
Cole’s arm slid around my waist, anchoring me as the square transformed into a whirlwind of celebration. A band with instruments glittering with enchanted frost launched into festive music that sounded both traditional and modern.
“You’re glowing,” Blitz whispered into my ear.
I looked down at my hands, surprised to find they were emitting a faint silver light. “That’s... new.”
“And extremely hot.” Vix’s fingers brushed against mine on my other side.
Magical tables laden with treats appeared along the perimeter of the square. Elves wove through the crowd with trays of steaming mugs, and the scent of cinnamon and chocolate filled the air.
Pierce snagged two glasses from a passing tray and offered one to me. “You have to try elfnog. Think eggnog, but with a kick that could make a reindeer fly without magic.”
I accepted the drink, our fingers brushing in a contact that sent sparks racing up my arm. The first sip burned pleasantly down my throat before blooming into warmth that spread to my extremities.
The music shifted, and couples began spinning around a dance floor that glittered with embedded lights. My dad twirled my mom with surprising grace for a man of his stature, her silver hair fanning out as she threw her head back in laughter.
Don extended his hand to me. “May I have this dance?”
I placed my palm in his, and he pulled me into the swirling crowd.
He moved with surprising fluidity, guiding me through steps I somehow knew without being taught. It was like my body remembered that this magic, this place, and these men were written into my very cells.
“Your magic is calling to us. Can you feel it?” He spun me and pulled me into his chest again.
I could. The tug had morphed into a gravitational pull. Nine energies orbited me like I was their sun, growing stronger with each passing second.
As the song ended, Dash seamlessly cut in, his movements quicker, more playful than Don’s controlled grace. Then came Pierce’s smoldering intensity, Cole’s gentle steadiness, Blitz’s theatrical flair, Vix’s dangerous edge, Kip’s infectious joy, and Dane’s confident lead.
The square blurred into a kaleidoscope of lights, laughter, and magic until Rudy finally stepped forward.
He stood before me, raw vulnerability in his eyes. “I need to know if this is what you want before I touch you again because once I do, I won’t be able to let you go.”
The noise of the celebration faded into the background as I searched his face. The alpha who’d pushed me away and ultimately pulled me closer waited for my answer with barely concealed hope.
I stepped forward, eliminating the space between us. “I want this. I want all of you.”
His exhale was almost violent with relief. He cupped my face between his palms, thumbs brushing my cheekbones. “Once we complete the bond, there’s no going back. Nine reindeer for eternity.”
The magic surged between us, no longer content to simmer. It wanted completion.
“Take me home,” I whispered.
Rudy’s eyes darkened. With a nod to the others, he led me away from the square.
The tug in my chest strengthened with each step, my magic practically singing as we moved toward their cabin.
Tomorrow would bring responsibilities, training, and the reality of what it meant to be Santa’s daughter. But tonight was for completing what had begun when a woman who hated Christmas met nine men who would change her life forever.
The cabin’s warmth enveloped me the moment we stepped inside, but it was nothing compared to the heat of their eyes raking over me.
Magic thrummed in the air like a living thing, pulsing in time with my heartbeat, or maybe it was all of our heartbeats.
It was impossible to tell where mine ended and theirs began.
It had all happened so fast, yet somehow none of it seemed fast enough.
Rudy moved to the center of the living room, and I smiled. This time we weren’t having a herd meeting where we discussed my loathing for everything merry and bright.
The others arranged themselves around the space, and I dropped onto Cole’s lap.
Kip perched next to us on the arm of the chair, while Dash leaned against the mantel, and Don stood quietly by the window.
Pierce, Dane, Blitz, and Vix all sat on the sectional.
All in different positions, but all with the same focus: me.
“The bonding requires each of us to seal our connection with you.” Rudy’s voice was low, sinking straight into my bones. “Our magic passes through you, yours through us, creating an eternal link.”
My breath caught as I imagined how that would feel. “And how does this... sealing... happen?”
“It doesn’t have to be sexual,” Rudy clarified, his expression serious even as heat lingered in his gaze. “The intent to bond needs to be there for all parties.”
I snorted. “Well, that sounds like a waste.” What I didn’t say was that it would waste the last few hours I’d had a butt plug in. I’d let that be a little surprise.
“Fucking hell, Neve.” Dane stretched his arms out along the back of the couch, a grin splitting his face. “Rudy’s not saying you can’t get naked with all of us. He’s saying you don’t need to bone the entire herd in one night.”
Kip’s leg bounced as if he was holding himself back. “Even with your sped-up healing, we still want you to be able to walk tomorrow.”
Laughter rippled through the room, breaking the tension that had been building. I joined in, feeling the last of my uncertainty melt away like snowflakes on warm skin.
The laughter faltered as I stood. I reached for my magic, and it responded like an eager pet. With a thought, I dissolved my dress into sparkling particles that drifted to the floor like red snow before vanishing.
“Holy shit,” Blitz whispered, his eyes wide as I stood before them in nothing but icy blue lace.
“So that’s how you all do it.” I glanced down at my nearly naked body, oddly proud of myself. “The clothes after shifting, and all the things you’ve conjured.”
Vix made a strangled sound. “Your first instinct was to use it to strip?”
“Are you complaining?” I cocked a hip, a newfound confidence flowing through me alongside the magic.
“Hell no.” Vix’s eyes had darkened to nearly black.
Nine different expressions of hunger stared back at me.
“Who goes first?” My voice came out steadier than I expected, given the molten heat pooling low in my belly.
“It forms in the order it’s meant to.” Rudy pushed the coffee table out of the way and conjured a fluffy fur to cover the floor along with several pillows.
“What does that mean?” I looked between them.
Don stepped away from the window and joined the others on the sectional. “It means that your magic will call to each of us, and whoever it reaches for first, that’s where we begin.”
I moved to the furs in the center of the room, lowering myself to my knees. The magic humming beneath my skin made every movement feel fluid and intentional.
They watched my every move, and I closed my eyes, focusing inward. If my magic was supposed to choose, I needed to let it. It sparked and reached, invisible tendrils stretching outward like vines seeking sunlight. It wrapped around three energies, pulling them toward me.
I opened my eyes to find Pierce, Dane, and Vix moving as if drawn by invisible strings. The others settled deeper into their seats, a hush of anticipation falling over them.
Pierce studied me for a moment as if assessing the situation. “May we touch you?”
I nodded, my throat suddenly too tight for words.
Vix’s hands settled on my shoulders as Pierce’s fingers traced the laced edge of my bra, while Dane’s gaze burned hotter than any flame I’d ever felt.
“What do you feel?” Dane’s lips brushed my ear, sending a cascade of tingles down my neck and across my shoulders. It made my magic pulse beneath the surface, and I leaned into it.
“Like heat under my ribs, pushing inward.” Their magic pressed into me as if they were touching not just my body but something deeper.
The air in the room thickened as Pierce reached behind me, unhooking my bra. Dane slid the straps down my arms while Vix’s fingers slid up the backs of my thighs, leaving goosebumps in their wake.
My nipples hardened in the cool air, drawing a rumble of appreciation from someone on the couch. I didn’t look to see who; I couldn’t look away from the three men circling me like predators who’d cornered their prey.
Pierce leaned forward, capturing my mouth in a kiss that sent electricity racing through my veins. His tongue swept inside, demanding and thorough, while Dane’s hands cupped my breasts, thumbs brushing over my sensitive nipples.
Vix’s fingers dipped beneath the fabric of my underwear, and he discovered my little surprise. “Well, well. Seems our Christmas spirit has been very naughty indeed.”
Pierce broke our kiss, eyebrow arched in question.
Vix tugged the lace down enough for the others to see the jeweled base of the plug nestled between my cheeks.
“Fuck.” The word escaped Pierce in a harsh exhale.
A low whistle came from the couch.
“When did you…” Dane’s question hung unfinished.
I reached back to grip Vix’s hard length. “I wanted to be ready. For all of you.”
Dane’s eyes darkened as he lowered his head to my breast, taking a nipple between his lips. It sent liquid heat pooling between my thighs.
Vix tugged my panties down my legs, helping me lift each knee to free them completely. He moved around to my front as Pierce moved behind me.
Vix lowered himself to the fur, sliding between my spread thighs until his face hovered inches from where I ached most. “So ready and wet for us.” His breath teased over my sensitive flesh, making me squirm.
Dane kissed me as Vix’s tongue finally made contact, licking a broad stripe through my folds. The sensation was electric, heightened by the magic humming between us.
I arched, caught between Pierce’s solid chest and Dane’s mouth on mine. Vix’s hands gripped my thighs, holding me open for his relentless tongue as he circled my clit before dipping lower to tease my entrance.
Dane broke our kiss, moving his lips to one of my breasts. “Perfect.” His teeth grazed my nipple before sucking it into his mouth.
I trembled, teetering on the edge of release. The magic flowed between us with golden cords binding us together, filling empty spaces I hadn’t realized existed within me.
Pierce moved to my side. “I can feel you. Inside me.” His voice held wonder and heat.
The bond solidified as the three of them touched me everywhere. I felt them distinctly within me now, three separate energies with unique signatures.
“I can feel you too,” I gasped as Vix slid two fingers inside me while his tongue circled my clit. “All of you.”
When the release came, it wasn’t just physical pleasure; it was magic exploding outward, binding the four of us together in a shower of sparks that rained down around us.
I collapsed against Dane’s chest as the magic settled into a warm, steady pulse within me. Three connections, solid and permanent, hummed beneath my skin.
Before I could fully recover, a shimmer rippled through the air. The remaining six men shifted forward slightly, responding to an invisible call. I felt a new pull, the magic coiling low in my belly, urging me toward the next touch, the next bond.
The night was just beginning.
