“I know what you’re thinking,” Endellion murmured into the absolute darkness of her prison, a soft sigh escaping her, “but weren’t you paying attention?”
It was so hard when no one listened. Nigh impossible to get anything done.
The split vision shimmered and fused itself into one, the swirling pool of apocalyptic possibilities drying up that much more.
Good thing her moth had come around, or this would be an entirely different story.
“Don’t worry. Victory isn’t always pretty at first, and this isn’t the end. This isn’t even the middle.” A giggle bubbled up to bounce around the dank cavern. “We’re still at the beginning, remember? Just like I said.”
