Chapter 15
CHAPTER FIFTEEN
Tate
There was no greater high than finishing a concert knowing your girl was watching. It had gone so perfectly, and I could feel the excitement radiating off Alvaro and Cal as we made our way off the stage and walked toward the locker room which was acting as our dressing room.
Avery had even had a great show but was still mostly a closed book with his emotions, not letting our bond penetrate his walls most of the time. He was doing better overall but had moments where he got into his own head and couldn’t get out.
One of our assistants opened the locker room door, and I entered first. Most of the stadiums we performed at had luxurious locker rooms, and this one was no different. There were areas for each athlete to store their gear, a large seating area with couches facing a screen, and lounge areas.
“Fuck, yes!” Cal threw the empty water bottle he’d guzzled across the large room as he entered after me. “The energy of that crowd was fucking spectacular!”
I collapsed onto the leather couch and snatched a water bottle off the side table. “I think we all know why we performed so well tonight.”
“I could feel her watching us. It was incredible.” Cal was always hyper as fuck after shows, but he was practically vibrating with unspent energy.
“Great show, guys!” Jonathan came into the room after Alvaro and shut the door behind him, the noise in the hallway dulling. “Let’s get a move on. We have the meet and greet, and you four are swimming in your own pheromones.”
“We literally just got off stage. Give us a few, man.” Avery opened the mini fridge brought in for us and pulled out a protein shake. “It takes us five minutes to shower and change.”
It was true. We had the quick showers down to an art. We usually had a little more time to unwind, but with fifty omegas and Kara waiting for us, the schedule was tight.
God, I couldn’t wait to see her. I hoped she wouldn’t be upset with our surprise. We had planned on telling her so she could be prepared, but that plan fell apart quickly.
Alvaro glanced my way, sensing my sudden uncertainty. “Don’t.” He went to the mini-fridge and grabbed two energy drinks, tossing one my way. “It’s going to be great. She probably already knows and has a little bit of time to prepare.”
Avery stared into the small opening of his protein drink. “I think I’m going to have to skip the meet and greet.”
Jonathan made a noise of disagreement. “I think you all need to stay together. What if agents show up and wonder why you’re avoiding the omegas?”
There was something off with Jonathan, but I couldn’t quite figure out what. There was a hesitation to his usually sure voice. “The agents just visited us a few days ago. They wouldn’t come again so soon.”
“This will be your first time around this many omegas in a long time. A lot is riding on this. You’ve all said so yourselves. This will prove that you’re ready to do the fall match instead of the spring one.” Jonathan clenched his jaw like he was holding something back from us.
Alvaro took a sip of his drink, his eyes narrowing on Jonathan. “What’s wrong?”
“Nothing’s wrong, Alpha. Just tired and want to get this meet and greet over with.” He crossed his arms as he leaned against the door. “They’re expecting us in fifteen minutes.”
Cal, who had been skipping around the room, fell onto the couch next to me. “Are you worried about how we’re going to be around Kara?”
Jonathan grunted and pulled out his phone. “It’s complicated. Don’t worry about it right now. Worry about showering and getting dressed so we can get going.”
“Where’s Anya?” Alvaro walked toward Jonathan, and he straightened, clicking his phone off and shoving it in his back pocket.
“She’s on the bus. Didn’t feel good.” Jonathan flinched as Alvaro grabbed him by the front of his shirt. “Alpha…”
The room fell silent except for the noise out in the hall and the whir of the air conditioner. He wasn’t telling us something. Although none of us had a connection like we had with each other, Alvaro could pick up on negative emotions from him from time to time if he focused.
Jonathan and Anya were in our pack but were more like an extension of it and not smack dab in the central bond. They couldn’t pick up any emotions from us.
Alvaro didn’t say anything to Jonathan because he didn’t need to; his dominating presence was enough. Jonathan’s eyes dropped to the ground, and he remained silent, which caused Alvaro to growl.
“Let’s not do this right now, guys. We can discuss this later.” I had no idea when because as soon as we were done with the omegas, we would be heading toward our next city on our tour, and Jonathan was the driver.
Alvaro let Jonathan go with a small shove. “Get your shit together, or you can go to the bus with Anya.”
“Yes, Alpha,” he muttered, smoothing out his black shirt. There was no need for Jonathan to worry so much. Since we had Kara in our lives now, our reaction to unbonded omegas was practically nonexistent.
I pushed to my feet and went to the locker area where my after-concert clothes and shower bag were laid out. During our first tour, we sometimes didn’t have the luxury of showering, but now that we were pulling stadiums full of people, the locker room showers were an added benefit.
The four of us went to the showers, leaving Jonathan in the main part of the locker room. I wasn’t that big a fan of communal showers after performing my ass off, but for some reason, even upgraded locker rooms stuck to no privacy.
Cal threw his stuff on a bench and stripped out of his clothes. “Have you ever wondered what the sports teams get up to in here?”
“They shower. It’s an efficient way to make sure they’re quick.” Alvaro was the first to finish undressing and went to one of the nearest shower heads in the center. The shower was shaped like a half donut. “They have the good shampoo and soap.”
Avery grunted and went to a spot along the wall. “They probably spend thousands on it but can’t afford to build at minimum half walls in here.”
“Don’t complain, Payney boy. You know you like checking out my ass.” Cal went a few spots over from him and turned on the shower. “Fuck, that’s hot.”
“Cal,” Alvaro warned, knowing that when Cal started taunting Avery that it would be a long night. He’d been doing well with giving Avery space lately, but with the high of the show and of seeing Kara, he was like a dog who had the zoomies.
“Sorry, sorry.” Cal stepped back under his shower head as I joined Alvaro at the center of the room. “Maybe I should jack off before we go up to see Kara.”
“I’m about to sew his lips shut, Tate. I swear.” Alvaro rubbed shampoo in his hair.
“Please don’t touch your dick in front of me,” Avery growled.
“What if we got up to the suites and she was alone. That would be amazing. I’d grab her around the waist and pull her to me.” Cal clearly didn’t care that we were all together or that we had such a short time to shower. “She’d whimper just before I kissed her. What would you be doing, Avery?”
“Kicking your ass.”
I chuckled, and Alvaro rested his forearm against the wall, putting his forehead on it as he let the water run over him. We masturbated all the time in our bunks on the bus, and back before Kara, we occasionally shared women, but this was different.
We weren’t just detached, watching porn or getting off with some randoms for the night, we were all thinking about the same woman we’d kissed and wanted as our omega. A woman we’d all share for the rest of our lives.
“I’d move in behind her while you kissed her and pull her hair to the side. God, she smells so good I just want to bite her, but instead, I kiss her neck.” Alvaro grabbed hold of his cock, his hand stroking it as he hardened. “It’s never enough. I need to taste her like I did that day.”
We all knew which day he was referring to. At least, Cal and I did. The memory of her slick on my fingers and her scent filling the room made me groan and brace my hand against the wall.
“If she was here... in this shower...” Avery panted, clearly giving into Cal’s plan of all of us getting relief so that we had a lower probability of going too alpha over Kara. “I’d lift her and pin her right against the wall. Her legs would wrap around me, and I’d sink into that hot, tight pussy.”
“Fuck.” The pressure was already building, and I wrapped my hand around my shaft, putting my thumb right on the top so it would rub my crown with each pump. “I’d bend her over one of the benches and eat her out from behind while she sucked Alvaro’s cock.”
“She’d swallow my cock until I was right on the edge.” Alvaro stopped speaking to catch his breath. “Then I’d sit down on the bench so she could ride me. She feels so fucking good. When she comes, I bet she squeezes our cocks so good and takes our knots like the good little omega she is.”
We were all getting close. I could feel the satisfaction coming through our bond as we all took ourselves closer and closer to climax.
“And she’d beg us to bite her. ‘Please alphas. Bite me. Make me yours.’ Ah, fuckkkkk!” Cal cried out, setting the rest of us off.
The pressure released in a burst of pleasure that left me gasping for breath as my cum shot out of me and onto the tile wall. I squeezed my knot, heightening my pleasure and nearly causing me to thrust into the wall.
I released my dick after every drop spilled and leaned my forehead against the cool tile. “Let’s not tell anyone about this.”
Cal’s laugh echoed through the shower. “That was hot. You know, we should do this more often instead of going at it alone in our bunks. Maybe it would improve our bond even more.”
I snorted a laugh and pushed off the wall, standing back fully under the spray of water to finish showering.
If it helped get us Kara, I’d do anything.
She’s not here.
That was the first and only thought I had as we entered the suite and a metric shit ton of scents hit me. The de-scenter helped to an extent, but with so many omegas in a semi-confined space, it could only work so well, and I didn’t detect even a hint of chocolate mixed in.
We all seemed to realize she wasn’t in the room at the same time because we shot each other worried glances. I could feel it through our bond, and even though Avery’s walls were up, his eyes said a lot.
There were a few squeals, and then the omegas descended on us. Our security team positioned themselves in front of us to keep them back.
“Ladies!” One of the older omegas stood on a chair and clapped her hands. “If you want them to stay, you will have to get in a civilized line. No touching them!”
I didn’t know who she was, but the omegas quickly arranged themselves in a line. It was easier to see them all, but I still couldn’t see Kara anywhere.
Alvaro stepped back and whispered in Jonathan’s ear, and he disappeared out the door. I raised a questioning brow as he stepped back into place beside me.
He leaned in so I could hear him over the excitement in the room. “He’s checking the other room. Ten minutes in this room, ten in the other.” He smiled and greeted the first omega, who was holding out a Sharpie and a... bra.
Jesus.
I wanted to ask where Kara was, but then people would wonder how we knew her. We had a plausible reason, but any unwanted attention to what had transpired between us already wouldn’t bode well for us.
Ten minutes felt like ten years, and then we were moved out into the hall and into another room. Jonathan was already inside, and he shook his head as we filed in. The girls in this room were a lot calmer. The woman from the chair was already here and situating them for us.
She was very calm and collected for an unbonded omega. I think I heard someone mention she was the dean, which was a feat in itself for an omega.
The first omega came to me after Alvaro signed a picture for her. “I wish all of you were here. Payne is my favorite.”
“Huh?” I quickly signed my name and handed her the picture and pen back.
“Payne. He’s not here.” The omega looked ready to cry.
I looked to my left at Cal and saw no Payne on the other side of him or behind him. I quickly scanned the room. He was right behind me when we’d left the other room.
Shit.
