Chapter 45 #2

“It’s you and me, Daisy. Us. Forever. Because once I have you, I’m never letting you go.”

He started to slowly tick through the buttons of his dress shirt. Those eyes pinned on me the whole time.

I stood there shivering beneath his severity.

Anticipation wound in my belly, and tingles wisped across my skin as I watched him peel himself out of the shirt and drop it to the floor.

He stood there in his dress pants with his chest and abdomen bare.

Adorned in all those gruesome designs.

Muscles bulged and flexed beneath the art, playing out like a scene that only I could see.

I couldn’t do anything but step forward, my breath shallow as I reached out with a shaky hand and trembled my fingers over a daisy I noticed for the first time on his front. One that was woven in a gnarled skeleton’s face.

“It was always you, Daisy. You were the voice echoing in my ear and the blood that pumped through my veins. You were my heart and my spirit and my soul. You were the love that lived on inside me when everything else was dead. Because that’s all that I’ve got for you. Love.”

My spirit thrashed. Vying to get to him as he pressed my hand even harder against the ravaging at his chest.

“Cash.”

His voice only deepened. “I’m so fuckin’ in love with you, Daisy.

With all of me. With everything I have. The second I put that ring on your finger, I knew it.

Knew there was no more containing it. I love you with everything I have.

With every fiber of my being. I may not be a good man, but you have any bit of good that’s left in me. ”

“I love you,” I rushed. “I love you so much, Cash. I tried to suppress it. I tried to pretend it wasn’t real and it didn’t exist. But that was the biggest lie I ever told. Acting like I didn’t already belong to you when I came here.”

The rumble of his chest was affection.

Possession and greed.

He took one step back.

“Let me see you, wife.” His words were a roughened command.

Redness flashed hot across my skin, and I chewed at the inside of my cheek before I smoothed my hands down the front bodice of the dress.

A shot of that boldness came on as he growled at the sight.

“Do you like it?” I murmured. I twisted to the side and arched a bare shoulder.

“No. I don’t like it, Daisy. I fuckin’ love it. Love seeing you wrapped up like a gift for me to tear into.” His tongue stroked over his lips. “That’s what you are. A gift that I don’t deserve, but one I’m going to treasure for the rest of my life.”

“You’d better start.” It came out coy, as if I could ever play seductive, but Cash didn’t seem to mind.

A wicked grin hitched on the edge of his mouth. One that sent nerves and anticipation scattering through my being.

“Oh, don’t worry, Little Wallflower. I plan on having my way with you. In every way. Over and over again because I’m never going to get enough.”

A shiver tumbled down my spine, and Cash stepped forward. “Turn around.”

I complied, and tingles raced as he brushed his fingertips down my nape before they found the hook at the top of the zipper. I inhaled a staggered breath as he unsnapped it, and the sound of the delicate zipper riding down echoed through the room.

The fabric whooshed across my flesh as the dress fluttered down to pool at my feet.

Leaving me only in the heels and the lingerie that the girls had insisted on me wearing.

The cream-colored satin, backless bodysuit. Garter belts snapped into the matching thigh-high stockings.

A guttural sound ripped out of Cash.

“What the fuck are you trying to do to me?” he muttered at my ear. Big hands cinched down on my hips before he let his palms smooth over my bare bottom. “Did you plan this? Seducing me? Making me lose all control?”

Choked laughter rippled out. “The girls insisted.”

My friends.

My family.

I could hardly believe it.

I couldn’t process the change that had taken place in a moment. The shift that had rewritten everything I thought I knew.

A low chuckle rumbled out of him, and he expelled a breath against the side of my neck. Shivers raced and the need glowed.

“They knew I could never resist you. Do you think they saw the fire inside me, Daisy? Do you think they saw right through me to the place that burns for you?”

His fingers glided up and down my spine.

“Cash.” I couldn’t help but beg it.

His hand glided up my back until he gripped a fist in my hair.

He tugged my back against his chest, and his lips wisped over the shell of my ear.

“Gonna please you, baby. In every way. Going to savor you first. Take it slow. Then I’m going to fuck you so hard there will never be any question of who you belong to. ”

My knees knocked.

Was this really happening? Was it real?

“Get on our bed.”

Okay. Yes. I liked the sound of that, and I let go of a shaky exhalation as I peeled myself away from him.

My feet barely cooperated as I tried to balance on the ridiculous heels and sashayed my way toward it, putting extra swing into my hips as I went, praying I didn’t trip and fall flat on my face.

I climbed onto the mattress.

Cash groaned from where he remained in the middle of the room. “Fuck me. You have any idea, Daisy? Do you have any idea what seeing you like this does to me? So fucking pretty in all that satin and lace.”

A sigh whisked out, and I slowly shifted around so I was on my back, propped up on my elbows. My legs pressed together as he looked at me like I was the moon and the stars.

“It’s this, Cash. Being back in a secret room with you and seeing you this way. So beautiful standing over me.”

“That ring on your finger says this is no longer a secret. It’s going to tell every motherfucker out there that you’re mine. Mine to love. Mine to protect. Mine to have.”

My chest arched for him, begging him to make it true.

He kicked out of his shoes and socks and worked through the button and zipper of his pants. He shucked them down, taking his underwear with them.

Cash stood there completely nude. Bare and so freaking beautiful there was no way for me to get the oxygen into my lungs.

He edged forward. The ground shook beneath his feet. The man a dark shroud as he came to stand over me. He reached out and caressed his fingertips from my chin all the way down to the fabric that covered between my trembling thighs.

“Sweet fuckin’ fire.” Cash ground it out, and he took me by an ankle and tugged off one heel then did the same to the other.

“Have half a mind to keep you dressed like this, but I need to see you. Completely bare and laid out for me.”

I nodded erratically, a moan getting loose as he tugged at the little snaps of my garters then began to slowly peel down the stockings.

He pressed his mouth to the skin it exposed, kissing a path down the inside of my leg. He shifted and did the same to the other.

Tingles rushed.

An inferno that lit. So hot I writhed in it.

“A dream. That’s what you are, baby. Can’t believe it’s come to this.”

Reaching out, I let my fingers play down the defined angle of his jaw. “We were always meant to be here. I always believed it.”

A flash of that self-loathing whirled through his eyes before it was consumed by the desire.

A waterfall that crashed and built.

Energy whipped and whirred through the room.

He reached around me, his breaths mine as he peeled down my bodysuit. Cool air brushed over my breasts, and my nipples pebbled with need as he dragged it all the way off.

“Did you hear it? Did you hear my heart calling out for you all these years?” he muttered.

“I think it’s the only reason I was brave enough to come here,” I admitted. “Because I knew what we shared could never be erased.”

Every muscle in his body bunched. A surge of strength. A ripple of protectiveness.

“Not ever going to let you go, Daisy. Not ever again. Promise you. This is it.”

“You couldn’t get rid of me now.” A soggy smile pulled at my mouth as I gazed up at him.

Intensity swelled between us. A knowing that was so much deeper than the surface. An understanding where our souls had always been joined.

“Good thing because wherever you go, I will find you,” he rumbled.

“Is that so?”

“God’s honest truth.” He dipped down to press a bunch of kisses to my belly. “Nothing in this world could keep me away from you.”

I squirmed and sighed, and he kept peppering kisses all over the soft swell of my stomach before he wound his way over me, climbing onto the bed and between my thighs.

His big, brutal body bare.

His huge penis bobbed against my belly, and heat blistered in the space that separated us. Flames that licked and lapped as the mood dipped between dizzying light and crushingly heavy.

Our eyes locked as a solemn promise was woven between our spirits.

Forever.

He ran his hand over the top of my head, curling me in his arms as he stared down at me. “I love you, Daisy.”

“I love you, Cash. So much.”

A frown dented his brow. “I haven’t been with a woman in years.”

“I have an IUD.”

“Good, because I don’t want anything left between us. Nothing, Daisy.” He brushed his nose against mine, and I wound my arms around his shoulders.

“Nothing,” I whispered back.

He reached between us and brought the tip of his cock to my center, the fat head barely nudged at me.

Our breaths swirled around us, our eyes frantic as we stared at each other.

“Nothing,” I said again.

“Nothing.”

Cash pushed inside me.

My nails sank into his shoulders as he filled me full.

He was so big I was gasping and choking as I struggled to adjust to his size.

To the overwhelming feel of him. To the pleasure that nearly blacked out my sight.

He rose up onto both hands, his rugged jaw clenched as he pulled out and pushed back in. I couldn’t breathe.

“Nothing.” His teeth ground and a sheen of sweat slicked his flesh. “Nothing, Daisy. Nothing other than you. Nothing like you. Nothing that feels better than you. Never dreamed of getting to experience you this way.”

Every word from his mouth was a grunt.

I rasped a staggered sound, unable to speak.

“You feel it, my Wallflower? You feel what it was always supposed to be like? The way you were made for me?”

My head nodded erratically on the pillow, and I gave him a semblance of what he had given me. “Yes. Nothing. Nothing is better than this. Nothing is better than you.”

Cash slowly pulled out then drove back in.

A soft puff of air escaped my mouth.

Cash leaned down and inhaled it, and his lips softly brushed against mine. It didn’t matter that it was gentle.

I felt it like an earthquake. The man a landslide as he began to move in me.

His strokes long and slow and deliberate. His eyes on me as he drew his hips back and plunged back in fully.

Claiming.

Taking.

A marking that went soul deep.

I gasped with each one, the pleasure devastating.

Nearly more than I could bear.

“You are perfection, Daisy. Every inch of you. Every part of you. This body and your mind and your kind, gentle spirit. Gonna protect it with everything I have. All my dark will stand in front of every threat so you can shine all your light.”

The promises poured out of him as he slowly worked me into a stupor. My body writhing and bowing beneath him. I began to lift to meet every possessive thrust of his hips.

Bliss flickered and danced and played.

“Do you feel it, Daisy? Do you feel the way I fit inside you like I was carved for you? Way this body takes me? Nothing has ever felt so right. Paradise when I am destined for Hell.”

My head rocked back on the pillow as he drove deeper.

Harder.

“No, you were destined for me.” I whispered it into the dense, lapping air.

Into the energy that swirled around us.

An envelope that promised to keep us safe.

Emotion gripped him. As ardently as it gripped me. As the love that had been stored for too long burst free.

Swamped us.

Drenched us.

Held us.

“I won’t take it for granted. I promise you,” he told me.

“I know.”

I brushed my fingers down the hard planes of his chest as he worked over me. As he fucked faster and harder and deeper with each stroke.

Pleasure sparked with each drive of his body.

Lights that flickered at the edges of my sight and glowed at the fringes of my soul.

“This body. So perfect. So good. So gorgeous. Want to live in it, Daisy. Want to live in you. With you.”

“I’m yours.”

“Mine,” he grunted.

I gasped when he reached between us and rubbed the pads of his fingers over my clit. Pinpricks of ecstasy licked across the surface of my flesh.

“Mine to please. Mine to treasure. Mine to keep.”

“Please,” I begged, my body arching from the bed, imploring for more of what he had to give.

The force of him was already relentless.

Too much.

Not enough.

His hips began to snap as he continued to propel me toward disorder, and I clawed and ripped at his back as he consumed me in a way that I’d never been consumed. In a way I’d never wanted to be consumed until him.

“I—” I choked and gasped as rapture rushed and gathered.

“Going to own you in every way,” he promised. “Your pleasure is mine. Want to feel it, Daisy. Want to feel you come around my cock. Give it to me. Let me see you glow, Little Wallflower. The way you were always meant to do.”

He pressed down on my clit.

“Cash.” I cried out his name as I splintered. A complete rupturing as pleasure sped through every inch of my body.

Lightning.

Thunder.

A sonic boom that glowed bright behind my eyes.

He seemed to lose whatever control he’d been keeping as I throbbed and pulsed around him, and he fisted the sheets as he began to pound into me.

My body bowed, my hips lifted high to meet with him in a needy, desperate offering.

As he thickened and filled me in the most sublime way.

In a way that was overwhelming and complete.

Total decimation because there was no chance I would be the same.

He met me there.

A roar tearing out of him when he came. Every muscle in his body went rigid as he tucked himself so deep inside me it was exactly as he said.

There was nothing between us.

We were one.

Complete.

Whole.

Taken to a place that was only intended for us.

We rode it forever.

Wave after breaking wave of bliss.

Our bodies joined and our spirits meshed.

Our hearts ravaged and rushed as we stayed like that for the longest time. Sweat slicking our flesh and pants jetting from our mouths.

Our gazes held and our mouths hovering an inch apart.

Then Cash leaned down on one elbow, and his other hand came to my cheek. Gently, he brushed back a piece of matted hair from my face, tucked it behind my ear, his smile full of wonder as he looked down at me.

“Nothing, Little Wallflower. There is nothing better than this.”
