Chapter 28 #2

“She’s so fucking close,” Adam whispers, “What do you need, Mel? Tell me what you need. Show them all how fucking angelic you look when you squirt for me.”

“Oh my fucking god,” Kai groans and I can hear his thrusts as he fucked her.

“What a good girl,” I hear myself growl.

“That’s it,” Adam says shakily.

“God, you’re incredible,” Markus groans. “I feel you dripping down my thighs. I love it.”

“Keep going, baby, keep going,” Kai says and I hear myself say, “What a sight, god,”

“You’re a goddess, woman. I swear. And I’ll spend the rest of my life at your feet,” Kai murmurs. “He was right about that. We’ll all kneel at your feet for the rest of our lives,” Markus says softly, before asking, “Are you ready for more?”

“God, yes,” Melody moans.

“Good, because you’re about to get so much more.” Adam says.” I cut it off.

I don’t need to know how much more she got. What I just heard is enough to ruin Mel’s business and drag our names through the mud. Honestly, with how fucking misogynistic society is, the world would say “I wish I was her”, while simultaneously bashing her for being where they want to be.

My fingers grip the edge of the table and my other fist clenches in front of my mouth as I hear the audio start over.

She fucking got everything. Proof that all of us are with Mel. That Kai fucked her ass. That I took her last. That Adam, Markus, and Kai took her together.

When my eyes open, I lock onto Mel.

Kai climbs over Markus, and Markus carefully extracts himself from Melody, tucking her in as he leaves. I watch her lips move as she whispers to Markus, but then she flips over and tucks closer into Adam.

Lucky bastard.

Kai knocks the laptop, gesturing for me to pull off the headphones. “So?”

“There’s,” I look down to check the video before looking back at him, “at least two minutes and forty-five seconds of audio of us all together. No way to explain it away, or to keep her name out of it.”

“Did she send it to anyone?” Markus asks quietly, the rage seeping through him.

“I haven’t even looked that far yet.” I shake my head angrily.

“Check the ChatSnap,” Kai demands, grabbing the phone connected to my laptop and opens the app. “Nothing. Thank fuck. No new images or messages since we took off. Nothing in Messengers, or DMs. So she’s not a total idiot.”

“Email? Uploads?” Markus asks, looking over his shoulder. A few swipes later, Kai’s anger deepens.

“Ah,” Kai says roughly, “She was trying to upload it to her Cloud. But the connection was interrupted.”

“Good,” I snap before opening the account on my laptop to make sure that upload doesn’t happen.

“What are we going to do?” Markus asks.

“Break her fucking knees,” Kai growls, but I shake my head.

“She almost ruined what’s ours. Now, we make sure she’s ruined.” I shrug, pulling up a new browser and sending off an email to our team. I explain how Sarah won’t be allowed anywhere near us. I made sure they understood exactly what will happen if she’s near us in any way.

“There,” I say, closing my laptop. “She’s gone. Done. I grabbed some water and some snacks, but one of you will have to go out and grab more if we need it.”

I don’t tell them it’s because I’m so mad especially knowing what she had on her phone… I might put the whole band in danger.

“We’ll send Markus this time.” Kai nudges the only one of us that hasn’t had to deal with her and gives him a look that says, ‘Nut up or shut up’. Markus rolls his eyes and nods.

His eyes turn to the bed longingly. Markus says, “Can we sleep now? I’d like to be on UK time before we get there so maybe we can sneak away for an hour before the concert. I want to show Melody something, not just the venues or the hotels.”

My eyes soften, and my gaze turns to her.

The beautiful, sweet gremlin that I owe more than I can express. Who I love more than I can even comprehend. And I understand Markus, I want that too. I want to see her eyes light up when she sees all that London has to offer. I want to make her first trip abroad memorable, not just backstage.

“Louis isn’t going to like it,” I say softly, almost under my breath.

“I really could not care less,” Kai answers, his gaze also on our sleeping girl in Adam’s arms.

“How is she still asleep? Do we need to be worried?” I ask, helping get Mel into the backseat of the SUV, and she smacks me in the chest.

“I can hear you,” she mutters.

“You’re barely conscious and you slept the whole way.”

“I’m tired! Give a girl a break!” She grumbles, sliding into the middle seat with Kai on her other side. She immediately snuggles into his side.

“Hey, hey, come here,” I say, stealing her back from Kai. “My turn.” They all climbed onto that full-sized bed like a dog pile and slept most of the way. And I, for the first time in a while, felt the inspiration to write.

The stanzas flew out of me so easily it was like I could barely keep up with the words flowing through my pen. And then, when I took a moment to breathe, I would look at her, look at my brothers, and keep writing.

“Welcome to London!” The driver says cheerily, looking at us in the mirror. “I’ve been told to take you directly to the hotel. Is that right?”

“No,” I say quickly. “We actually wanted to stop by The Eye first.”

“The Eye?” he repeats as if I just told him I wanted him to have me drive into the middle of a playground. “Sir, it’s noon. It’s going to be completely busy.”

“We’ll handle it.” I shrug and turn back to the guys. “Right?”

Markus' smile is bright, and Kai nods.

“Really?” Melody asks, the controlled hope in her voice is enough to solidify my decision.

“Yeah, Reverb, really.” I press my forehead to her temple, breathing her in.

“Security?” Adam asks softly, not interrupting the moment at all, but Markus just smacks him on the chest.

“I’ll handle it,” Markus says, “We only have an hour and a half before we have to be at the venue for sound check. The concert starts at 6 pm.” Markus pulls out his phone and starts typing away.

“Please, to The Eye,” I say kindly, but in a tone that leaves absolutely no room for question.

“Get hats and sunglasses from security.” Kai throws over his shoulder, and I nod in agreement.

“Got it.” Markus nods, typing furiously on his phone. “This is going to be fun.”

“Sync?” Kai asks, turning our attention to Melody. “Does that sound okay?”

“Are you fucking kidding me? The Eye? In the heart of London? Yes. I want to go.” She speaks so quickly that I nearly trip over her words, but then as quick as her joy came, her face falls. “There’s no way. There’s no way , guys. You’re going to be spotted immediately.”

“We’ll be alright. Maybe we don’t go all together. We can find a pub and get food while we each take turns going off?” I say, talking like it’s a question, but honestly that might be the smartest idea.

“Guys…” Melody says, dragging the word out like she doesn’t think it’s a good idea. But we all saw how happy it made her, and there’s no going back now. No, this is happening.

“No, Melody, no. We’re going and we’re going to spend this hour and a half as us , okay?” I cup her face so she has to look at me. “We want you to enjoy this trip, not only see the concerts. Okay?” I ask, bringing her forehead to mine and speaking softer, “Please, let me do this for you.”

Melody’s eyes are locked on mine and she nods against my head.

“Won’t your manager be mad?”

“Fuck that guy,” Kai says softly, interrupting the nice little moment I was having with my girl, and I want to cuss him out for it, but he’s right.

“Yeah,” I repeat. “Fuck that guy. He works for us, and we’ve been working for him for the last three years non-stop. If we want to take an hour and a half to show you some of the sights, we’re going to. Right, guys?”

They all agree with me, and I see some excitement filling her dark eyes.

“Okay,” she agrees reluctantly. It’s like she had to see us all put our foot down before she fully let herself believe that it was okay.

Her smile burns brightly on her face. Goddamn it.

I can’t help but return her smile with one of my own, pressing a small kiss to the tip of her nose before turning to the driver.

“Can you take us to the King’s Arms?” I direct the driver to one of the first pubs the guys and I went to back when we actually were able to walk around without being noticed.

It’s a good ten minute walk from The Eye, but that means that we’ll be able to all be separated enough that people who recognize us might not immediately react.

If anything, we’ll be able to have a mini date with her, even if it’s just walking by the water and getting a beer.

“Good choice, sir,” the driver says quickly. He pulls away from the tarmac, and I look over just in time to see Sarah being escorted off the plane by a member of our team.

Good riddance.
