Chapter 10 #2
He set Amanda down gently, their breaths mixing in anticipation.
The heat between them was enough to ward off the early January chill that seeped through the window.
They shed their outerwear with a sense of frantic determinedness, coats tossed aside, scarves unwound and dropped to the floor.
Hiro’s fingers fumbled with the buttons of his shirt, his eyes never leaving Amanda as she yanked the pins from her head so her hair cascaded down in tousled waves.
The way she knew he loved.
The room, though small, seemed to echo with their hurried breaths and the rustle of fabric as they undressed. Here, they didn’t have to hide their love, silence their pleasure. Here, they could be everything.
Hiro’s heart pounded in his chest, a drumbeat of anticipation. He stepped out of his smalls, leaving them in a heap on the floor beside his trousers, and reached for Amanda, pulling her into his arms. Her skin was warm against his, her curves fitting perfectly against his body.
There was no time for foreplay, no need for the slow, teasing touches they usually indulged in.
This was about consummating their love, their future together, in the home that would be theirs.
Hiro’s mouth found Amanda’s, their kiss desperate and hungry.
His hands roamed over her body, rediscovering every familiar curve and line.
When his hand slid between her legs, he found her already slick with need, her body ready for him.
He groaned into her mouth, a sound of pure, unadulterated desire. Amanda’s hips pressed against his hand, seeking more of his touch. But Hiro needed to be inside her, needed to feel her wrapped around him, claiming him as he claimed her.
Forever.
He guided her towards the bed, their lips never breaking contact. They tumbled onto the soft mattress, the quilt billowing up around them. It wasn’t the first—or even the seventy-third!—time they’d made love in a strange bed, but this bed would be theirs, this home would be theirs.
They would have a place!
Hiro settled between Amanda’s thighs, her legs wrapping around his hips, urging him on. He could feel her heat, her desperation, matching his own. No time for languid stroking, no time for tasting her…
With a single, sure thrust, Hiro’s cock pressed into her. They both groaned, their voices mingling in the quiet room. Hiro stilled for a moment, savoring the sensation of being fully sheathed within her, the tight grip of her body around his.
Then he began to move, his thrusts slow and deep, drawing out every ounce of pleasure.
There was no need for silence here, no thin hotel walls to reveal their sounds of depravity. No one to judge them, no one to whisper about the butler-turned-bodyguard-turned-lover compromising a lady. Here, they were just Hiro and Mandy.
And they would be for the rest of their lives.
Hiro reveled in the freedom, in the knowledge that they were alone, that they could be as loud and as wild as they wanted. Amanda’s moans filled the room, her nails digging into his back, her hips lifting to meet each of his thrusts.
“Hiro, more...” she gasped, her voice breathless and desperate.
He growled in response, his pace quickening, his thrusts becoming stronger, more insistent.
The bed creaked beneath them, the headboard tapping against the wall in a rhythm that matched their passion.
Amanda’s sounds, her gasps, her moans, her pleas for deeper deeper deeper, drove him mad with desire.
His growl felt instinctual. “Mine. Mine, Mandy.”
“Oh, God, yes! Yes, Hiro!” she panted, head thrown back, hands clutching at his shoulders as her legs tightened around him. “Yours! Forever!”
He groaned. “So wet, so tight.” Each word matched a thrust. “Perfect.” Another plunge. “Fooking perfect.”
“Fooking magnificent,” she corrected, parroting her brother’s parrot, and Hiro would have grinned if he could focus on anything other than the pleasure of this moment.
He could feel her orgasm building, could see it in the flush of her skin, the wildness in her eyes. He wanted to watch her come undone, wanted to see her pleasure as he poured himself into her.
Finally
“That’s it, love,” he murmured, his voice thick with need. “Let go, let me see you come.”
Amanda’s eyes fluttered shut, her body tensing, and then, with a cry that echoed through the room, she came. Her inner muscles clamped down around him, her body convulsing with the force of her orgasm. The sight of her, lost in pleasure, sent Hiro tumbling over the edge.
With a mighty roar, he spilled inside her, his body shaking with the force of his release.
Spilling inside Lady Amanda Kincaid was everything he’d known it would be.
Bliss.
Her inner muscles seemed to milk his cock, and wave after wave of pleasure coursed through him, each thrust drawing out more of his seed, more of his soul, until he was utterly, completely spent.
He collapsed, his body slick with sweat, his breaths coming in ragged gasps. Amanda wrapped her arms around him, holding him close as they both rode out the last shudders of their shared climax.
The room, once filled with their cries of passion, slowly grew quiet, the only sound the hushed whispers of their breaths mingling together.
Hiro could feel Amanda’s heart beating against his chest, the rhythm matching his own.
He pressed a soft kiss to her shoulder, then her neck, then her temple, before finally capturing her lips in a tender, languid kiss.
“I love you,” he murmured against her mouth. “I love you so much, Mandy.”
Her lips curved into a smile, her eyes still closed. “I love you too, Hiro. Always.”
With a contented sigh, Hiro rolled onto his side, pulling Amanda with him so they were nestled together, her back to his front.
He wrapped his arms around her, one hand cupping her breast, the other resting on her hip.
She wiggled her bottom against him, a soft hum of satisfaction vibrating through her.
He needed to get up, to fetch some water to clean them. Hell, he needed to find the agent and finalize their purchase of this home!
But the room, bathed in the soft light of the winter afternoon, felt cozy and warm, their sanctuary from the world.
The bed was perfect for the two of them, their bodies entwined together like two pieces of a puzzle.
Hiro pressed his face into Amanda’s hair, inhaling her scent, a mixture of sweet and musk that was uniquely her.
A lady who could appreciate fine things, but had turned her back on Society for a lifetime of adventure.
With me.
As they lay there, their bodies cooling, their breaths returning to normal, Hiro felt a sense of peace wash over him. This was what he wanted, what he had always wanted. Not just the passion, the heat, the desire, but this...this quiet intimacy, this shared love.
Now they had the chance to embrace that.
For the rest of their lives together.
Hiro sighed, his breath stirring her hair, as he thought about the years they had spent traveling, the adventures they had shared, the memories they had made.
But now it was time to focus on the home they would build together, the life they would create.
He thought about mornings spent in this bed, nights spent under the stars, days spent exploring new places and revisiting old favorites.
“We should get a cat,” Amanda murmured suddenly, her voice soft and sleepy.
Hiro chuckled in surprise, the sound a low rumble in his chest. “A cat? Why a cat?”
She shrugged slightly, her body brushing against his. “I don’t know. I just think it would be nice, having a little furball to come home to. Someone to keep this place warm while we’re off gallivanting.”
He smiled at the thought, his heart swelling with love. “Who’s going to watch the cat while we’re in the south France or Quebec.”
“Hmm, good point. Do cats travel well?”
He leaned forward enough to brush a kiss over her bare neck. “I think dogs do.”
“Then we’ll get a dog,” she announced. “A big one to travel with us.”
He chuckled again. “How about a horse to help with the travel? A llama? A whole menagerie to keep us company in our old age.”
Amanda laughed, the sound bright and joyful. “I like that idea,” she said. “I like that idea a lot.”
And he realized he did as well. His hold on her tightened, knowing he would fetch this woman a whole flock of swans, geese, colly birds, French hens, turtledoves and partridges if it would make her smile.
They lay in silence for a while longer, their bodies pressed together, their hearts beating in sync. Then Amanda turned in his arms, her eyes soft and serious.
“You mean it, don’t you?” she asked. “About being brave, about claiming a future together?”
Hiro nodded, his gaze steady and sure. “I mean it, Mandy. I want this, I want us. I want the adventures, the quiet nights, the turtledoves and the whole damn menagerie. I want it all, and I want it with you.”
“The turtledoves?”
His lips twitched. “They mate for life, you know.”
Her eyes filled with tears, happy tears, and she pressed her lips to his. Their kiss was soft and sweet, a promise, a vow. When they finally pulled away, Amanda snuggled back against him, her body fitting perfectly against his.
As they lay there, wrapped in each other’s arms, the sun dipping low in the sky, casting the room in a warm, golden glow, Hiro knew that this was just the beginning. The beginning of their future, their life together. And he couldn’t wait to see what adventures lay ahead.
The room grew darker, the air cooler, but neither moved. They were content to stay just as they were, wrapped in each other’s arms, their hearts beating as one. As the first stars began to twinkle in the night sky, visible through the small window, Hiro knew.
They’d found their forever.
