Chapter 29 Jo
twenty-nine
Jo
“Shit, Kole!” I cry out, pushing my face into the bed as my Russian Giant pounds into me from behind. At this angle, his cock hits me deeper than ever, and I can’t stop the high-pitched keening sound that escapes me every time he bottoms out.
“Fuck, Lisichka, you are perfect,” Kole growls, his fingers digging into my hips as he props one knee up on the bed. “Look at you, gripping my cock so tight.”
His words send a shiver through me, and next thing I know, I’m being pulled up so my back is against his chest, his hand gripping my throat in that way I love. My arm reaches behind me, hooking around his neck and holding him close to me.
“Oh, please, oh please!” I’m babbling incoherently, so close to the edge, but unable to fall off. That is, until Kole snakes his other hand down to my clit.
“Since you beg so prettily, lyubov' moya,” he murmurs into my ear before kissing my neck. His fingers play me like a damn fiddle, and then I’m falling, shattering, screaming his name.
His hand moves from my throat to cover my mouth.
“Shhhh,” he licks up my neck, “we do not want to make your other mates jealous, do we?”
My orgasm is still wrecking me as I shake my head, my sounds muffled by his hand. I’ve barely come down when he pushes up hard, popping his knot right into that delicious place that sets my nerves on fire as it stretches me in the best way.
His thrusts turn shallow, and my orgasm builds again, never having fully come down from the first one.
“Oh, oh, lyubov' moya," Kole groans into my ear as his cock pulses inside me, filling me with him. The sensation pushes me over again, and then I’m coming harder than before, my nails digging into his neck.
We collapse onto the bed, a panting heap of sweat and limbs, my giant still knotted inside me.
It’s been four days in the new safe house, and all there is to do is play games, watch movies, and fuck.
Neither Hayden nor Kole seem to care where or when they take me, and we always end up doing something sexual throughout the day.
I might think that my suppressants aren’t working, but I’m not feeling the urge to nest, so I must just be really horny.
When we have a free moment, we touch base with Declan, but otherwise we’re left to our own devices. Hayden and I play cards, Kole beats everyone at pictionary, we’ve watched every DVD in the house.
Sam obsessively checks the perimeter once every hour, not trusting the system completely to keep us safe. Somehow he manages to cook us all delicious meals three times a day. West has become my resident foot-massager and back-rubber.
It’s a good life—for now. But I’m starting to get antsy for answers.
So when the phone rings on the nightstand, despite still being knotted to Kole on the bed, I grab it.
“Lisichka—” Kole starts to protest, but I shush him, answering the phone and putting it on speaker.
“Tell me Brooks is talkin’.” It’s hard to keep my voice even when Kole pulses inside me, but I manage to sound like I mean business.
“Hello to you too.” Declan chuffs. “I’m fine, Jo, how are you today?”
“I’m great, thanks for askin’.” I roll my eyes. “Now—onto the important stuff—Brooks. Is he singin’ yet?” Honestly, I’m surprised he’s withstood Rory’s torture for as long as he has.
“Like a damn canary.” I can hear Declan’s grin on the other end of the line. “You’ll want your guys in here for this.”
“Hey Hayden?” I shout towards the hallway, and then my fire demon is poking his head in. “Would you mind grabbin’ the rest of the guys? Dec has some news for us.”
Hayden disappears, and I hear him calling after Sam and West. “Are you alone now?” Dec asks, suddenly sounding unsure.
I frown, looking back at Kole. Welp. I’m as alone as I can be. “Yeah? What’s up?”
“I…these guys…they’re good to you, right?”
A little laugh leaves me. “Yeah, Dec. They’re better to me than I deserve.”
Kole’s cock pulses inside me again as his fingers dig into my hips. I reach behind me to lightly smack at whatever skin I can reach. I think I got his shoulder. He only wraps his arms around me tighter.
“Impossible,” Dec grunts. “But…good. I’d hate to have to kill them after everything you’ve gone through together.”
A real laugh bursts out this time. “That won’t be necessary.”
“Good. Listen, Jo—”
“I got the troops!” Hayden announces proudly, cutting Declan off. West and Sam trail in behind him, looking mildly concerned.
I huff. “Hold on, Dec.” I put the phone on mute.
“Jo…” Sam warns as he takes in mine and Kole’s position, and I roll my eyes.
“Calm down, Sammy-boy. I’m not tryin’ to trick you into fuckin’ me.”
Wiggling slightly, I test the resistance of Kole’s knot. He grunts, but then slips out, and I briefly mourn the loss of him before grabbing a random t-shirt off the floor and pulling it on. Grabbing the collar, I take a deep sniff and smile.
Sam.
I look at Kole and shrug. “I don’t need to be talkin’ to my brother while my alpha is knot-deep inside me.”
Hayden snorts, and Kole shakes his head, also grabbing some clothes to put on. This seems like a conversation that does not require nudity.
Properly covered, I take Declan off mute. “Sorry, Dec. What were you sayin’?”
He sighs, and I can hear the resignation in his voice. “We’ll continue that conversation later. But about Brooks—he’s given us names, which gets us one step closer to making sure we can release the information we stole without it being intercepted.”
“And those names would be?” Kole’s voice lacks patience, and I elbow him in the side.
“Well, first, and this might be our largest problem—Senator Richard Pierce.” My eyes shoot to Hayden. His expression is pained, and I reach over to grab his hand. Regret pulses through the bond, and I hate that he has to go through this.
“We had a feelin’ about that already,” I admit, letting out a sigh.
“We don’t know if he knows that Hayden is out yet, considering it appears that Isaac Thornfield is on his payroll, and I’m assuming he’s going to do everything possible to ensure he keeps his funding.
He’ll want to keep this situation under wraps for as long as he can.
” There’s typing in the background as Declan speaks.
“The other name he brought up was Senator George Kinsley, which confirms what you overheard Brooks and Whitmore talking about, and lastly, the name Prometheus.”
“Prometheus? Like the champion of humanity in Greek mythology?” West scoffs. “How typical. Elevating himself using a pseudonym that implies his actions are for the benefit of the people he’s deceiving. Let me guess—he’s in charge?”
Declan sighs. “He’s the head of the operation.
They call themselves the ‘Beta Liberation Union’.
In short, they want to ‘liberate’ the betas from the oppression of alphas and omegas.
They want to introduce the drug they’ve been developing to the public as a way to keep instincts in check, but in reality it will completely obliterate designations altogether.
At least, that’s the plan. They haven’t been able to get the formula quite right yet. ”
“Shit.” West mutters, rubbing his eyes. “We need to make sure that does not happen. Are my parents involved at all? My dad is…very good friends with Isaac Thornfield.”
“Christopher and Whitney Monroe, right?” Dec grunts, still typing. “They use their residence as a meeting location once a month. That’s about the extent of their involvement, so I don’t know if they’re being coerced by Thornfield, or if they want to be involved.”
“Dammit,” West mutters.
“As far as your father, Vasiliev, he’s only in the skin trade, selling the omegas. He’s not an actual part of the Liberation Union.”
“I do not know if I am supposed to find comfort in that,” Kole huffs. “How did you find out? Surely Brooks has never met my father.”
“No, that’s information that Aidan dug up.” Declan keeps typing. “He’s the deep-diver when it comes to hacking—I’m more on the surface-level shit.”
“Wonderful,” I sigh. “So how long do you think we’ll have to live like this?”
“At least until I can get a full list of any sympathizers and members of this Union. Then we need to cross reference that list with members of higher ranking government and the FBI. Once I can assure the information won’t get buried, we’ll make our move.”
“We could just hunt down this ‘Prometheus’ ourselves,” Kole growls. “What good is a snake if we cut off its head?”
Sam shakes his head. “As much as I hate to say it, that won’t do anything. If we simply kill Prometheus after finding out who it really is, then every little minion in his ranks will run and hide, and then they’ll re-emerge with a new leader.”
“On top of that,” West cuts in, looking between all of us, “if you just run in and kill him, it will only feed their cause, given that you’re alphas.
They’ll spin the narrative to make it look like you really are a danger to everyone around us because of your instincts.
No, the best way to do this is to expose them to the public.
They’ve kidnapped omegas. Performed illegal experiments that fuck with biology itself. They’re mad scientists.”
“You guys are right.” Dec sighs, and the typing in the background stops briefly.
“I’m sorry, Jo. If it makes you feel any better, I’ve been keeping my ear to the ground, and it doesn’t seem like anyone has any clue about where you are.
Maybe you can relax a little. Go to the beach or something. Just don’t draw attention to yourself.”
“Can we?” I look to Sam for his reaction.
I might go stir crazy if they don’t let me out soon.
At least when I was locked up, bouncing from facility to facility, I had a goal in mind—get to Mabel.
Now all we’re trying to do is not get caught.
Sure, the orgasms help, but we can’t go on like this forever.
“Tomorrow.” Sam gives me a smile, and when I squeal, throwing myself into his arms, I barely register Declan hanging up the phone with a low chuckle.
