Chapter 21
Eden
“You’re seriously trying to tell us,” Liam said, making himself comfortable, “that you knew it was us almost immediately?”
Eden was still quite chuffed as she lay between them on the couch. Shortly after collecting themselves in the VIP party, they departed, finding a cozy corner in the depths of the club where they collapsed together into a pile of limbs, wrinkled clothes, and satisfied sighs.
“Of course, I knew it was you two,” she insisted.
“You think a stupid blindfold will keep me from recognizing your touch?” Eden brushed her hand against Benson’s fuzzy chin, his lips puckering up to kiss her fingertips.
“Or your…” she giggled, gesturing to Liam’s lap.
“You have a very recognizable cock, Liam.”
“It’s true,” Benson agreed. “You do.”
“Well! Look at us, spoiling the fun.”
“You really think you spoiled anything?” Eden readjusted herself so she was more comfortable between them.
The couch sank beneath their weight, the leather rubbing against her bare skin, not that it was a detriment to the woman who was so relaxed that she might fall asleep in a raucous sex club.
“Tonight was fabulous. I had no idea what to expect, and that was true until the very end.”
Benson lightly laughed. “I should say that we had no idea what was going to happen when we set you loose in a club like this.”
“In a party like that,” Liam added.
“There was a very real chance that someone else would have their way with you before we could get to you,” Benson mused. “And that was part of the fun.”
“I think he was way more into that than I was,” Liam said.
“You know me.”
Eden rolled her eyes, her foot slipping off Liam’s lap as she turned over, assuring that he grabbed her and pulled her toward him.
Biting her lip, Eden giggled to know that he still wanted to put his hands all over her even after everything else they had done that night.
I wonder whose place we’re going to after this.
Her run-of-the-mill hotel room? Or whatever suite these two surely booked for the night?
The world was at her fingertips in New York City.
“You guys are a hoot.” Eden leaned her head against the back of the couch.
A waitress carrying a drink tray poked her head into their corner and asked if they needed anything besides the water on their table.
Eden lackadaisically ordered a diet soda while her boyfriends indulged in more water.
If anything indicated that they were about to leave, that was it.
“Who cooked up this plan, huh? What would you have done if I hadn’t shown up? ”
“Believe it or not, Benson hatched the bulk of the plan,” Liam said. “I was the one who impressed the severity of giving you the time of your life, but he’s such a man-ho that he had the invitation to the party.”
“Really?” That got Eden’s attention again as she turned her bit lip toward Benson, who grinned back at her. “And if I hadn’t shown up?”
“Then I guess Liam and I had an excursion to New York City this weekend.”
“We would have gotten drunk and stumbled back to our hotel room.”
Eden inhaled deeply, turning her chin up toward the ceiling as she exposed the white of her throat to both flesh-hungry men. “Dare I ask what the point of this plan was?” She rubbed her foot against Liam’s lap. “The severity of the situation, huh?”
“We wanted to show you what was possible with us long-term,” Liam said.
“I don’t know if you’ve noticed,” Benson continued, “but we will make you ours.”
“So, this is how you cap off our small break this week?”
“Small?” Benson shot back. “We were losing it without you.”
“Mostly him,” Liam said. “Look, I love the shit out of you, Eden, but he was like a pouty puppy, moping about his apartment like he would never be loved again.”
“I just wanted you to know that I heard you,” Benson continued. “We heard you. Loud and clear. Whatever you want from a relationship with us is yours.”
“Whatever?”
“Whatever,” Liam reiterated. “We could do crazy shit like this every weekend. Or we could spend all our free time traveling the world.” He brushed his knuckles against her back as she sat back up.
“Come up with a business plan for us to invest in. Or, I dunno, get your bartender’s license like your friend. ”
“I think what our sex-drunk friend is trying to say,” Benson said, “is that the world is your oyster, but you are the most beautiful pearl in the sea.”
She laughed. “You’re both nuts right now.”
“I think we should get out of here.”
Everyone agreed with Liam, but the waitress returned with Eden’s drink, and she was not about to let it – and how much it cost – go to waste.
So she ensconced herself between her boyfriends, reveling in the low, thrumming beats in the background, the heat of their bodies, and how good she felt all over.
I could definitely get used to this. Something piqued her curiosity as she sipped through a straw and rubbed up against Benson.
“Did you see that guy hitting on me in the bar area?” she purred. “He wanted to be the branch I perched on, if you catch my drift.”
“Oh, I saw that sly fucker,” Benson said. “We were actually sitting behind you.”
“Really? I never saw you.”
Liam chuckled. “We are very stealthy when we want to be. Especially if it means seeing our girl in her element.”
“And what’s my element?”
Both of them curled a hand around one of her thighs. “Driving us crazy,” Benson replied. “Making us realize how much even we want to be together again.”
“To be fair,” Liam nearly whispered. “I never not wanted to be.”
Something about the earnestness of their words, never mind the crazy scenario they cooked up that night, delighted Eden. They really love me. They really listened. She laid a kiss on Benson’s scruff since it was closer than the top of Liam’s head, but the intention was there. I love them, too.
“Since it’s still kinda my night,” she said, fluttering her lashes and sipping on her diet soda, “do I get whatever I want when we go back to your hotel?”
Benson shrugged. “Don’t see why not.”
“Oh, God, what is she thinking?”
Eden put down her drink on the table and stretched both arms above her head. “Well! I’m still in quite the mood, but after you two stuffed me like a Thanksgiving turkey—”
“Dressing included, yes?”
“—I still need a bit of a break downstairs. Say, you guys like to fool around, right?”
They both glanced at one another but didn’t say anything. Not until Benson tentatively said, “Yes. He and I ‘fool around’.”
“Bit more intense than that, love,” Liam said.
“Yes, I know, but I’ve never gotten to see it!” Did she have enough energy to put on a fake pout for them? Maybe. “What do you guys say? Let’s go somewhere and let me sit in the corner chair for once.”
“I dunno,” Benson said with a heavy sigh, “might be too much for me. I’m old.”
“What I’m hearing is that you should do the pillow eating, Ben.”
He stiffened beneath Eden’s weight while she tittered at the thought. “That’s not usually reserved for the presence of a lady’s company.”
“Oh, but you’re saying you’ll do it?”
“When the mood strikes!”
Eden got up on her knees, looming over Benson as he indulged her with a whispered look. “Is the mood striking now?”
He shifted beneath her, acting like he was about to toss both her and Liam off the couch to give him some air. Then, as if he suddenly remembered who they were and what he liked about them, he said, “Let’s get back first. Then ask me if the mood is striking me.”
“That means yes,” Liam said.
Eden curled her arm around his shoulders and nuzzled her nose against his temple. “You can get it up again, right?” She nearly squeaked in his ear. “For him?”
Liam slapped both hands on his knees. “Yeah. ‘Cause I’m not old yet.”
That was Eden’s cue to hop up, even though her legs were sore and her kimono sweaty against her skin. “All right! Let’s go!” She pumped both fists into the air, almost knocking over the forgotten diet soda on the table. “Wait. Where are you guys staying?”
It would not be the only innocent question she asked that night.
But, true to their words as consummate gentlemen who loved to indulge her whim when it mattered most, they humored her.
All the way to the coat check, to the cab, and to the door of their penthouse hotel suite, where they all hopped in the large shower, and Eden made good on her word to get them ready for her personal show.
It was the least she could do for the two best butterfly catchers in the world.
