Chapter Twenty
DANE
“ N ever. Forgetting you is statistically impossible.” I use words she can quantify and compute in that gorgeous head of hers.
Burning with emotion, I sink into her but keep my eyes pinned to hers. As I remove the pearl and rhinestone comb from her hair, I shift my weight so I can fan that side of her hair across the sheet. How many times have I thought of having her in my bed?
Her head comes off the pillow as I move from side to side, trying to stretch her. Going deeper, she gasps, and I feel like we’re in a movie, making love. My shoulders round as our rhythm steadies. The tip comes right to the edge before driving in slow again. I drop to my elbows, kissing the top of her chest, arms, and neck.
She’s my paradise.
Peppering my chest with open-lipped kisses, I pick up the pace but not too fast. I want us both to remember ever y push and pull. I want it engrained that we belong together.
We’re so lost in each other.No woman has turned me on like Lettie has tonight. Every touch sets me on fire. I know she’s not innocent, but she’s not quite as seasoned as she has pretended to be, and I admit that it evokes a euphoric tightening in my chest.
She’s sexy all the time, but I love her little mewls when she reacts to my lips on her skin or my groans in her ear. As I leave a path of wet kisses across her shoulders, Lettie shudders. Gently blowing on her neck and tracing her lips with my fingers produces more shivers, and I catalogue what she reacts to on an imaginary notepad in my mind.
She wants all the romance. The featherlight touches, the whispers of praise and I’ll give her everything.
I lift her legs around my back and push forward. As I get deeper, her back arches off the bed, and her eyes pinch closed. “Keep them open, baby. I want you to see how much I… need you. Want you.”
Her lids flutter open. “Feels sooo good.”
“This feels much better than good. Try again.” I press a kiss to the corner of her mouth.
Her lips curl into a rueful smile. “How’s life changing?”
