D ear Rhodes,

The mutant bees forced me inside all night, but that meant we got to talk.

I told you this on the phone, but I miss you. More than I thought I would. I’m happy to be on this journey; I really am. It’s pushed me to learn things I wouldn’t have otherwise and required a level of alone time I’ve also never had.

Like now, alone in my thoughts.

It’s a weird feeling since I don’t have a boyfriend to call—someone else to think or worry about. Even my parents and Constance are being abnormally quiet today. The Wi-Fi at this campground is also spotty, making it impossible to rewatch all of my favorite shows, and I can’t even sit outside because bees .

But I have a new resolve after our call tonight. I’m going to do this. I’ll see it through, and when I tell you I love you back, I’ll be ready for everything you have to give.

And that isn’t as scary as I thought it would be to admit.

Yours,

Paige
