Chapter 32

CHAPTER THIRTY-TWO

M aia,

I’m glad to hear from you.

Let me begin the letter by thanking you for believing in the twins and extending the offer I stupidly requested you withdraw from them. I hope you know that the week we spent in New York had nothing to do with this deal.

Why am I putting it out there?

Suzie insinuated it.

Also, are you sure about 59PM? If you want it, you can have it. There are other companies I can acquire.

This letter wasn’t intended to sound like business correspondence, but I wanted to get that out of the way. Clear the air from mindless bullshit.

How am I?

I miss you.

I haven’t found my passion—other than making love to you, but you took that away from me.

Jokes aside, these days I’ve been spending more time in San Francisco. I’m taking a page from your book on How to Live a Better Life and stepping down from my CEO position. At least until I find something I can balance it with.

I can’t wait to hear fromyou,

G

PS I had no idea Byron Langdon and you are friends—he’s Caspian’s agent.
