Foreword

Move in the Shadows

Getting revenge is a difficult thing. You have to hold a space in your head to think about what someone has done, why they did it, and how they deserve to suffer. Then you have to do something to them that might get you in trouble. This is an imposition to your peace and well-being.

But who among us doesn’t want justice for a wrong done to them?

If you cannot allow a fool to go unpunished, you are better off moving in the shadows.

This basically means keep it out of sight until the right time, place, and action can be decided.

Revenge shouldn’t be done unless you can walk away unscathed.

To do otherwise just hurts you and possibly the people you care about.

Living a good life is really the best choice, especially if you make sure the person who wronged you knows you are living well, despite what they have done.

I do know from experience, however, that people will continue to do what they do whether you get payback or not.

Worse, they will make you the villain in their story. It’s really all about the narrative.

And to that end, there’s nothing wrong with enjoying a good payback story, especially when the paranormal is involved. It’s good to live vicariously.

Move in the shadows and make good choices.
