Chapter 24 Adaela #2
To the right side of me was a forest; the left side was a still lake.
The lake wasn’t fenced off, however there were short cast iron pillars with a chain between them.
My guess was that it was there to prevent anyone from falling into the lake, but it was a tripping hazard.
The sky had very few clouds tonight, and the stars were shining bright, as if they were trying to outshine the waning crescent moon.
It was probably close to the middle of the night, but still a little early in the evening.
Further off in the distance were tall mountain peaks.
They reached toward the sky like they were reaching out to find God.
I was weightless, as if all my current burdens had been released from my shoulders.
This must’ve been a dream because it was my ideal time of day, and I was in a location where I found the most peace.
The area wasn’t familiar to me, but I was sure it existed somewhere.
There were no other beings on the path, though I didn’t feel lonely.
I finally had some time with my own thoughts, and I relaxed at the solitude.
I let my mind wander a bit about my hopes and dreams for the Pax, about where I was in this life and if it was the direction I saw myself going.
My magic was at rest, instead of going through its volatile motions.
It was free from burden. I let my shadows out to play.
They formed themselves into various shapes and frolicked down the lane. I smiled to myself.
I paused at a fork in the path. One way led toward the mountains, the other around to the other side of the lake.
I stopped for a moment, breaths light, letting my subconscious decide which direction to take me.
Taking the path my heart was begging me to go, I veered off to the right.
I could do with a little forest bathing and gazing at the tall peaks ahead of me.
As far as the eye could see, I hadn’t come across any animals, creatures of the night, people, or much of anything but the trees in this forest. Everything was quiet and still.
Normally, that would have me on alert, but my shadows seemed to be at rest, and so I assured myself that I, too, could be at rest.
As if my magic were begging me, I veered off the path and worked my way through the trees, grazing my hand along the bark of the ones I passed.
The fog from the humidity of the lake began to dissipate the further into the forest I went.
As the trees thinned out a bit again, I saw someone whose silhouette seemed familiar, and my heart soared. I picked up my pace to meet her.
“Vada, baby, how are you here?” I asked her, wrapping her up in my arms.
She hugged me back, pulling me in as close as we could get our bodies. “I needed to see you and make sure you’re alright.”
“Of course I’m alright.” I stood on my toes, and Vada bent down to kiss my lips. “I need you, though.”
“I know, sweet girl. I need you, too. Though I’m sure you’re aware you’re in a lot of trouble,” she said in a mock scolding tone.
A bratty little smile graced my lips. “Oh, is that right? What did I do?”
She picked me up in a fireman’s carry and smacked my ass. I squealed as she laughed out her reply, “I’m sure I can think of something.”
“What are you doing here?” I asked her, reaching down to grab her ass. She jumped a little in response, and I giggled.
“I’m taking care of you. Behave.” She smacked my ass again, and I let out a fake, but maybe not entirely fake, moan. She chuffed, and I smirked, though she couldn’t see me.
“Oh, is that right? It seems to me you’re carrying me off like a caveman. What, are we going to a cave so you can ravish me, daddy?” I asked, unable to contain my laughter at how cheesy I was being, even in my dreams.
“Daddy, huh? I could probably get behind that. Are you going to behave or am I really going to have to tie you down and punish that ass, babygirl?” she retorted.
I squirmed in earnest, turned on at the thought of Vada tying me down. Obviously, she noticed. Vada delivered a couple more quick slaps to my ass, and the slick arousal at those hits began to run down my thighs. Huh, guess I wasn’t wearing anything under this nightdress.
Vada continued walking for a short distance until she stopped in front of a log cabin.
She set me on my feet and turned me with my arm bent behind my back.
It was uncomfortable, but it didn’t hurt.
My back was facing her front. I ground my ass back into her playfully, and she twisted my arm a little bit harder. I grunted.
“Where did my good girl go, Adaela? I wanted to make this enjoyable for you, but you’re about to fuck around and find out,” Vada breathed in my ear, flicking her tongue along the side before biting the tip.
I shivered. We hadn’t even made it in the door yet, and I was ready to bow down before this woman. I couldn’t let her know that yet.
“Oh, I’m a very good girl, baby.” I twisted out of her hold, turning the game around so we were now in opposite positions, “but if you want me to be a good girl for you, you have to earn it.”
I pushed Vada toward the door. She opened it with the hand I didn’t have behind her back. She could’ve easily pulled the same move on me before we got inside, but since she’d gone quiet, I assumed she was plotting. I snickered. I was in trouble.
The cabin was a single room. It was nothing fancy, but it was apparent that no one had used it in some time.
It was a one-room shack that likely was a stopping point for anyone who just needed a place to lay their head before moving on to their next destination.
There wasn’t even a kitchen. Near the hearth was a bag, which I could only assume its contents.
There was a large bed in the middle of the room with tie-off points bolted to the headboard.
A flutter of anticipation or anxiety, I couldn’t tell which, sparked throughout my body, and it amped up the feelings of helplessness.
I realized too late I had let go of the grip I had on Vada’s arm from my momentary distraction.
She broke out of my hold to turn around and grab both of my wrists, backing me into the door.
She raised my hands above my head and leaned down toward my face, lips grazing mine, but not in a kiss.
“Listen here, sweet girl. Normally, I would walk through our limits together. I would make sure we both vetted each other before we even touched one another. But, if you haven’t realized it yet, we’re in your dream right now.
This is very real, but it’s also a safety net.
We can explore here. You’re healing right now, so physical intimacy is out of the question.
Do you want to be my good girl or my dirty slut tonight?
I will exit your dream right now and let you sleep peacefully if you don’t want this,” she asked me.
Getting serious for a moment, I affirmed what she was asking. “I don’t just bottom, Vada. I will fight you for it. However, once it’s established, I will be your best girl. I’m willing to explore here if you are.”
“Good girl. I need you to understand that I also need to feed. It’s been days, and I don’t know the protocols in Alfhame.
I also no longer have any desire to feed from others unless the situation is dire and I have no other choice.
Do I have permission to feed off your lust?
I will not take so much that it will impede your healing, but I can also feed you back some power to help with your healing process. ”
“I’m okay with it all. I’m yours, Vada.” It may not have been love yet, but I could tell something would bloom out of this.
We were not just two ships passing in the night.
We were the night and its moon. We could not be one without the other.
How had I survived over 600 years without knowing this beautifully broken soul?
Vada closed the gap between our lips, and I opened for her, suddenly desperate to have her skin her against mine.
Her kisses were always explosive; they always left me ready for everything she wanted to give me and more.
I wrapped my leg around her hip, and she let go of my arms to lift me.
I draped my arms around her shoulders as she walked us toward the bed.
All I could see was the unending devotion playing out in her every movement.
It was trust. That trust was something I suspected both of us didn’t give out freely, and my heart exploded.
“I cannot believe you’re mine,” I whispered reverently as she laid me down on the bed. “I can’t believe you’d go to the lengths you have for me.”
“Hush, sweet girl. I’m trying to objectify you,” Vada smirked. I laughed, moving up to my elbows to see her better as she walked over to grab the bag I’d noticed earlier. “What’s your safe word, slut?”
A thrill zinged up my spine at the light degradation. “Let’s go with the stoplight system for now. Red for end scene. Yellow to slow down. Green for good.”
“I’ve never heard of the stoplight system before, but that’s handy. I know what a stoplight is and how they work now at least,” she replied.
I laughed again. “Sometimes I forget that you’ve only been back on earth for a short period of time.”
“Do you have any hard limits?” she asked.
“Not many,” I admitted. “I doubt we’ll even come close to any of them tonight anyhow.”
“Good to know.” Vada was undressing herself, and I was enamored. Her body was a fucking temple, soft curves and all, and one I planned to worship if she’d allow me. “Stand up for me. Let’s get you out of these clothes.”
I did as she asked, and she bent to my feet to pull my dressing gown off me. I lifted my arms as she completed the pass, and as she stood up, she bit down hard on one of my nipples. I cried out, and she stood all the way back up, giving me a kiss as she threw the gown to the side of the room.
