She moved her lips along his jaw, kissing her way to his ear. “I’ve never been more sure of anything. Make love to me here in the starlight.”
“I can do that.”
He captured her laughter with his mouth. As always, there was a taste of honey in the kiss.
Lawson ran his hands over her ass again. Up her torso and down, edging the skirt of her dress higher with each pass.
When his hands brushed the skin of her thighs, she moaned into the kiss and pressed closer.
His entire body jerked, but no way was he losing his shit like a teenager.
Clamping down on his control, he concentrated on Dani. Not a hardship. He wanted to know what made her sigh. What had her gasping his name.

He grinned, his smile flashing in the moonlight. “I do. You’re spectacular, Dani. Watching you fly is my new favorite hobby.”
That had her energy roaring back. “I want to see you fly, too.”
His grin widened. “Good.”
And then he kissed her again. Yes, she definitely had her energy back.
She ran her hands under his t-shirt. “This has to go.”
He leaned back on his heels and whipped it over his head. Even in the starlight, she could see that he was magnificent. Strong shoulders, muscled chest, and abs she wanted to lick.
Hell, she wanted to lick him everywhere, so she reached for his zipper.
He laughed and stood. “I think that can be arranged. But later, okay? You start now and I’ll go off like a teenager.”
She laughed, realizing she’d spoken her wishes out loud.
Then Lawson shoved down his jeans and briefs, leaving her brain with no room for other thoughts.

Then she said it aloud and watched his body tighten further. “I want to taste you, Dani.” The sexy words growled over her skin and had her shivering.

His hands gripped tightly. “You sure?”
She laughed. “So sure. Come here, Lawson.”
He reached into the pack and grabbed a box of condoms. He knelt and passed them to her. “Why don’t we multitask? You get one of them out while I find out how you taste.”
Her body wanted to fly at his words alone.
Then he gently spread her legs and lowered his head.
She fell back against the pillows, Beatrice feeling like the softest of down beds.
Lawson’s tongue swiped her in the most intimate spot, and she cried out his name.
“You like that too? Good, because you taste like heaven.”
No one had ever talked to her like that, and it had her brain spinning as tightly as her body.
“Got that box open, Dani?”
Box? Oh, the condoms.
He continued to lick her, tease her, while she fumbled with the box.
She’d forgotten how to open a box.
Lawson blew against her and then used his tongue to find her clit.

When she opened her eyes this time, Lawson was right above her, grinning. “There you are, beautiful. I took care of the condom.”
She nodded, grateful one of them could open a box. “My turn next time.”
“I like the sound of that. Ready?”

Laughing, he slid into her. Slowly. Perfectly.
Her body arched into his, and she grabbed his hips to bring him even closer.
When he was as deep as he could get, Lawson rested his forehead on hers and cursed softly. “You’re perfect, Dani. Perfect.”
“Yes, you are.”
He huffed out a laugh. “We’ll need to do this again because I’m not sure how long I’ll last.”
She squeezed him. “We’ll do it again. And again.”
“Good plan.”
And then he was kissing her again, teasing her breast with one hand while his other kept his weight off her.
His thrusts started slowly, inching in and out, driving them both mad.
Then faster, changing angles, sending her body impossibly higher and higher again. “Lawson.”
“Fly, Dani. Fly.”
“With me.”
“Always.”
And then they flew into the universe.
