29. Wilder #2
He hesitates for only a moment, before taking the outfit from me and excusing himself to get dressed.
I try not to think about him getting naked and dressing up for me, with only one door separating us, but it’s no use.
My gaze remains fixed on the closed door, watching, waiting, and when he finally pulls it back open, every fucking second was worth it.
The pants are a perfectly tailored straight fit, that fit him like a damn glove.
He’s styled the shirt so half of it is untucked, with the other disappearing into his pants, then it’s unbuttoned enough to show off the black lace and a peak of the thick silver chain.
My mouth waters at the sight of him, and I contemplate facing the wrath of Caden for canceling on his twin’s night out, so I can throw Reed on the bed and fucking devour him. Except unlike before, the man in question now actually looks excited at the prospect of going out.
“Well?” he asks, holding his hands up to gesture at himself. “Is this more to your liking, sir?” he adds sarcastically, but all it does is stroke the primal beast inside me.
“I like it so much that you need to walk out of this room before I pin you to the bed, consequences be damned,” I warn him, being completely serious, and I watch his throat bob as he swallows.
“Wilder,” he whispers, taking one step toward me, and fuck, the way he says my name might end me completely.
“I’m serious, Blue,” I choke out, taking in every perfect inch of him, and whatever he hears in my tone has him nodding firmly, moving to leave the room.
When he reaches the point where he has to pass me, my hand snaps out and grips his arm, keeping him in place.
“You look so fucking pretty like this, Blue. You’re perfect, and don’t let anyone ever tell you any different.
” He nods firmly, eyes looking glossy as he smiles at me so perfectly, and I force myself to release him.
I hear him take a sharp, deep breath, before he straightens his shoulders and leaves the room, and I have no choice but to follow him like a moth to a damn flame.
To no one’s surprise, all the other guys are already dressed and waiting, situated around the kitchen island, and of course Casper is the first to spot us.
“Well it’s about fucking time,” he calls out, making everyone turn our way, and I see Reed prepare himself for what I’m sure he expects to be an onslaught of comments.
“Thought Wild might have tied you to the bed,” Bobby adds, looking far too amused with himself, but before I can open my mouth to say anything, Reed beats me to it.
“He tried, but I told him it was rude to keep you all waiting,” he replies with ease, making them all laugh, his words even earning a smirk from Caden, and I shake my head.
“You’ll pay for that later, Blue,” I mumble beneath my breath, letting my hand skate down his spine and relishing in his immediate shudder.
“You look good enough to eat, mi pequeno artista,” Matteo calls out, and I cut him with a scathing glare.
“Watch it,” I warn, but it only makes his smirk widen.
“We better leave before our poor little rookie baby combusts,” Casper cuts back in, practically bouncing on the spot he’s so excited for the night ahead, and Bobby groans.
“Fine, let’s go,” he grunts, pulling out his phone, and no doubt he was the one to organize our transportation for the evening.
We split between two black cars to head to the club, and by the time we reach the bar, Casper can barely contain himself.
He’s already scanning the area looking for someone to entertain him, and with Knox and Beck at his side, I know they will only find themselves in some trouble.
Matteo disappears somewhere almost instantly, like usual, and I don’t bother trying to keep track of him.
Instead I head to the VIP section with Reed, Bobby, and Caden.
I can already see Reed pulling the attention of a few people his way as we move, and I grind my jaw so hard I’m surprised I don’t break my damn teeth.
It’s what has me shoving him into the booth first, so I can press myself right against him, before I glare at every single person smiling his way.
If Reed notices he doesn’t say anything, but his thigh pressed against my own placates me instantly.
Bobby signals the waitress and orders our drinks, and then the four of us settle into casual conversation.
Of course Reed and Bobby start talking about photography again, and while I listen to every word they say, Caden surveys our surroundings.
I’m not sure what he’s looking at, but I find myself watching him, wondering how he can just appear so casual after the things he has done.
It’s been easy to forget what he’s done while I’ve been away from home.
Not completely of course, but out of sight, out of mind and all that.
Except now here he sits across from me, looking like he doesn’t have a care in the world.
Which he probably doesn’t. I’ve never known him to care about anything but Casper, except now all I can think about is the fact he killed my brother.
Especially since this is the most time we have spent together since he did it.
And as if my thoughts summon him, his eyes meet mine, and I’m pretty sure he can read every single one of them, and it only makes his stare harden.
Fuck. I need a fucking drink.
