Chapter 1 The Private Club
The moment I ran into Chu Qingyun at the Private Club, laughter erupted inside the private room.
I sat on the sofa and watched Cheng Yuzhou hook an arm around Chu Qingyun’s neck with a grin.
It looked intimate, but it was pure mockery.
“Top Student Chu, what are you doing here? Running out of money lately?”
Chu Qingyun was wearing a waiter’s uniform. His handsome face still carried that stubborn look.
He didn’t speak.
I took a slow sip of my drink. “If you’re not short on cash, I’ll tell the manager to let you leave early. Top Student Chu should focus on studying, right?”
His eyelashes trembled. His hands clenched into fists at his sides.
“Very short,” he said.
I set my glass down. “You should’ve said so earlier. We’re classmates. If Chu Qingyun needs money, of course we’ll help.”
I crooked my finger at the person beside me. “Go get twenty thousand in cash from the manager.”
Neat stacks of red bills were laid out on the table.
I picked up a stack and waved it at Chu Qingyun. “Top Student, how about ten thousand per piece of clothing?”
Cheng Yuzhou had already moved to sit beside me. He laughed mockingly. “Top students really are expensive. Now I kind of want to be one too.”
The heavy sarcasm made Gu Jue laugh and punch him in the arm.
None of us had any respect for Chu Qingyun.
When we drove our sports cars into school at the start of the term, someone asked Chu Qingyun what he thought of us.
He called us Playboy Heirs.
Chu Qingyun had underestimated how fast his words would reach us.
Poor genius and Playboy Heir. We were never going to like each other.
Now that we had the chance to humiliate him, who would let it slip away?
He stayed silent for a moment. Then his fingertips moved, and he actually reached for his shirt buttons.
His cold eyes shimmered under the private room lights.
“Ten thousand?” he asked me.
I nodded.
He slowly took off his shirt, revealing the white tank top underneath.
To be fair, Chu Qingyun had a great body. Smooth, lean muscle and skin that was just the right shade of pale.
Cheng Yuzhou burst out laughing. “He actually took it off. Top Student Chu.”
I whistled silently in my head and threw one of the ten-thousand stacks at his face.
He closed his eyes, then crouched down to pick up the money.
The tight line of his jaw stood out.
Watching him crouched on the floor suddenly put me in a great mood.
“Don’t get up yet. Kneel and light a cigarette for me. Fifty thousand, how about it?”
The hand holding the money turned white at the knuckles.
I knew this was a huge humiliation for him. I thought he might lose control and punch me the next second.
But I never expected him to actually walk over.
He knelt down.
The lighter in his long fingers produced a flickering flame.
Laughter in the room nearly flipped the ceiling.
Chu Qingyun remained unmoved. He simply kept his eyes lowered.
I lit my cigarette from his hand, but looking at that cold, stubborn side profile that refused to show any shame, I suddenly felt itchy inside.
It wasn’t enough.
My long legs that had been crossed spread open.
I glanced at Chu Qingyun kneeling beside my leg.
“Chu Qingyun. Make me feel good and I’ll give you two hundred thousand.”
