KRIS

I want to kill him.

Well, kill is a strong word.

I want to destroy him.

She drives me fucking insane, and I should have known this was going to happen this weekend. I should have fucking known. She’d drive me crazy, just like she always does, and I’d get jealous because… fucking look at her. She’s perfect, and every goddamn eye in this place, with the exception of my brother who only has eyes for Ruby, is staring at her in those fucking jeans that hug her hips and leave nothing to the imagination.

Her ass is perfection, and it’s caught my attention too.

The little minx knows exactly what she’s doing because there’s just a slight extra sway to each step than her normal walk. She’s putting on a fucking show, and while Davidson’s stupid ass probably thinks it’s for him, I know there’s only one man in this bar tonight that she’s doing that for… and I’m directly behind her.

Every single set of eyes that meets mine gets the memo, she’s fucking off limits tonight.

She stops at the bar, leaning against the worn wood and orders a drink. I stop beside her, opening a tab and putting her drink on it before telling the bartender to grab me a beer.

“I can pay for my own drinks, Kris,” she snaps, but I pretend I can’t hear her over the music.

I smirk when she grunts her frustration and spins to face the dance floor, without her even realizing it, she’s moved a step closer to me, and her side is touching my front. The bartender hands me both of our drinks, and I hand her margarita over to her.

She’s always been a tequila girl, and the story is true, at least for Kam, tequila makes her clothes come off.

On a straight tequila night, anyways.

I’m staring down at her when she takes a drink, and out of the corner of my eye I see Davidson wave her over. She hesitates, but only for a moment before she looks up at me, winks and fucking smirks before she moves her fine ass across the bar to where he’s sitting.

“You’ve got it bad,” my brother’s fiancee says, sliding into the spot Kameron just occupied, although she isn’t as close as Kam was. “So damn bad.”

“Do not,” I whine, sneaking a glance in their direction.

Kameron has her head thrown back, laughing at something the tool just said, and I grit my teeth. I don’t fucking like this one damn bit.

“I like her, I don’t know what you did to fuck that up in the past.”

My eyes snap to Ruby’s.

“Your brother told me all about you two.” She smiles, softly. “You should go for it, not someone like Samantha.”

She looks across the bar to where Samantha, the bridesmaid that wouldn’t leave me the fuck alone on the bus, is sitting, staring at the two of us talking. The song changes to a slow one, which I’m sure my brother requested since Perfect by Ed Sheeran is their song. And don’t ask me how I know.

“Find your happiness, Kris.”

She briefly touches my arm before meeting my brother in the center of the dance floor.

I twist around, resting my elbows on the bar as I stare at the two of them. I’m happy for my brother, he deserves this. I, however, know what comes next.

The fights. The hatred. The cheating. The heartbreak.

The waste of fucking time this all is.
