Author ramblings (and what’s next)

Lucas and Roman’s relationship begins in such a dark and isolated place. There are no social constructs to shape their interactions. There’s no safety net. The space, then, is very dangerous—but also very pure. They can’t rely even on language. They have to learn to connect in a primal and instinctive way.

I loved watching their relationship develop like that, but it was certainly a challenge to write. I had to really pay attention, just like they did. I had to learn about their most fundamental selves, and I had to show their evolution through tone and touch and nuance. I loved every second of it. I hope you did too.

Even more, I loved taking them out of that isolated environment and showing their struggles in adjusting to the intrusions of the outside world. I grieved for them in their hardships, and I was so damn proud of them for learning how to trust themselves—by trusting each other. They really were beautiful together.

As for what’s next, I have so many stories clamoring for attention in my head. The loudest one right now is Vitali’s—because he is about to pluck a slightly unhinged man from a psychiatric facility with the intention of using him as leverage … only to find himself in the midst of a sexual awakening that he’s not at all ready for.

It’s going to be pure madness—and total delight. I can’t wait to share their story with you.

Until then, I hope you’ll join my online hangouts for teasers, updates, and indulgent sexiness.
