Chapter Six

AKIRA

Iget out of the car. My shirt is ruined but I don’t button up my green coat to cover River’s passionate act.

I like it. My ass aches, but I feel so languid…

and irked at my hole. So much prep with my fingers and those dildos and still, it couldn’t take River’s dick.

That’s not acceptable! I did use only much smaller sex toys, I didn’t know he had an elephant cock…

with beads—and damn what a wonderful surprise that was.

I didn’t mind the stinging stretch since those little pearls certainly enhanced my ecstasy, but I wanted to feel it all the way inside me. And I fucking will.

The thong is turning wet—wetter than it already was—his cum is leaking out. He flooded me with it. He fucking loved it. I could see it on his face how lost in it he got. I enjoyed it even more with his wild growling in my ear. It’s such a turn-on to see him so taken by my body.

Phase two of Operation Snare the Bunny went quite well. Talking a little longer with that fucker worked since River got jealous—didn’t expect the shitbag to grope me, but he paid for that, and I got what I wanted: half River’s dick.

Now for phase three…

“I’ll wait until you get in the elevator,” River says, halting my steps in the empty lobby of my building. He tries to hand me my sword.

I look at him with questions in my eyes, to which he replies, “I’m not coming.”

“I thought I made you come already. The proof is still leaking out of me,” I taunt him, but a hint of annoyance is starting to rise inside me. Is he putting distance between us just like he did after the fitting room hookup?

Instead of shaking his head with exasperation, he looks down at his phone. His clear blue eyes have turned dark. I know that look. He’s preparing himself for a fight. Like a glaring animal ready to attack. My heart races, and my spent dick gives a twitch. I like that fire in his eyes.

“I need to go,” he states.

“Go? You aren’t going anywhere,” I declare with a small, derisive laugh.

His reply is not what I expect again. He grabs the front of my already ruined shirt and hisses, “The only way to stop me is to slice me open.”

He pushes the sword into my hand, and I guess a little but deep cut will force him to come up to take care of it. But is that worry in his eyes? And fear…about what? Not what we’ve been doing.

What the fuck is going on?

“What is it?” I ask, now feeling concern as well. Is there a threat? Is it the Triad?

He doesn’t give me a response. He grits his teeth until his jaw ticks and looks at the elevator.

Is he trying to mentally make me walk to it?

Seeing no other option, I yank his head down, push away those damn locks from his face, and bite his lower lip hard until I feel blood on my tongue.

He doesn’t try to pull back; I feel him relax under the familiar assault.

Good bunny. I suck on the bite and then give him a rough, short kiss, which he accepts without protest.

“My crazy, overwhelming horniness for you is my slicing weapon.” I brush my thumb over his red lip. “It’s too heavy to push away. And if I have to, I’ll gather up all my hotness and shower you with it until you choke on it and tell me what’s going on.”

He lets out a trembling exhale. “Always mouthing off.” Then he mutters, “You would be careful if you knew what thoughts have been crossing my mind.”

“Tell me,” I whisper against his mouth, tilting my head back to look clearly into his beautiful eyes.

“Aki.” He drops his forehead to mine for a short moment before taking a step back. “We can’t…I-I need to go.”

I sigh. I’ll help him with whatever problem there is, and then I’ll get back to the bunny operation. Fuck, but this is hard.

“Where are we going?” When he doesn’t answer, I add, “If you think I’ll let you go alone somewhere dangerous…”

“How do you know it’s dangerous?”

“The serious look in your eyes, your pleading tone, the tense pose of your body. Should I go on?”

“You are like a fucking dog with a bone,” he clips.

“Do mad dogs go after a bone?”

He grunts. “I have no time for this. Let’s go!” He gives up. That was easy.

“Where are we going?” I ask again as he signals a taxi to stop, the limo left already. We get in, and he gives the driver an address not too far away.

“I am wildly curious now. Tell me.”

“I need to see Joel.” He drops the bomb looking out of the car window.

His little brother who he hasn’t seen or contacted in ten years?

“I thought he was in Boston.”

“He moved to New York a few weeks ago.”

“A few weeks ago?” The little brother he sacrificed so much for is in the same city River moved to, and he didn’t tell me? “Has lying to me become that easy after years?” Fuck, I’m so pissed. Since when do we keep secrets from each other?

“I just found out he was kidnapped, Aki.”

Fucking shitty fuck! “We’ll find him. Where and…” I start.

“He was already found,” he cuts me off. “But the people he’s surrounded himself with… Shit! I need to be sure he’s okay. And you being there could cause problems.”

“I don’t know what people you are talking about, but I’m pretty sure you are going to need backup.” I leave the sword on my lap and text the girls the address.

“You shouldn’t be here. He’s of no consequence to the family.” He growls, looking down at his fisted hands.

I can’t believe this fucker! I elbow his stomach, and pushing my sword’s sheath against his throat, I get him in a chokehold.

“Keep driving, it’s just a little spat between lovers,” I order the taxi driver with a menacing tone.

“When things get hard or something is bothering you, you never talk about it. You come to some idiotic decision inside your head and try to act alone. Fuck that! It ends now, bunny. I won’t let you risk your life, not when I can help. Wakatta?” I state with a final tone right into his ear.

He can fight me and probably overwhelm me if he wants, but he won’t. Because he knows I’m right.

He nods once.

“Good bunny.” I let go, and we both take our seats. I glance at the driver, who looks completely focused on the road ahead.

“What do you want to know?”

“Everything. From the fucking beginning.”

“The P.I. I put on Joel contacted me a few weeks back.”

“I thought you stopped with the daily checks on him.” River told me that Joel was an adult now and he didn’t want to invade his privacy anymore.

“I did. I just asked him to keep an eye, you know, from time to time. That’s how I found out he moved to New York. Then Jacob Campbell, the snow dealer down in Harlem we worked with a couple of times in the past, contacted me.”

I don’t remember him. But I don’t usually talk with small dealers, that’s a job for my crew.

“He told me the son of Enzino was asking around about me.”

“Jack Enzino, the mafia boss?” That family is pretty powerful in New York. “Isn’t an in-war brewing among the Italian families?”

“Yes. Since Leone croaked, the bosses of the other families are coveting the big boss’s position.”

“What’s that have to do with Joel? He sells men’s lingerie on the internet for Christ’s sake!” I buy mine from him because it’s pretty and I like the way I look in it. It’s also my way to help Joel…for River. Without River knowing. Which is not a secret, but just an omission. He never asked.

He lets out an angry groan. “I don’t know. My father was killed by the Leone family, but they let us go. Why did he get close to Arturo Enzino? Going out on lunch dates and to clubs with him. And how did he end up living with Leone’s right hand, Marco Moretti? Could it be all a coincidence?”

What the heck is Joel doing with those classless thugs? “Have you ever met any of them?”

“Not that I remember. My father was not part of the family; he just worked for them.”

“That guy, Moretti, I heard he’s a psycho. I like his work, though, they call him Knuckle because he likes to beat people up or something like that. Was he the one who kidnapped Joel?”

River lets out another feral growl. “No, but I don’t know if he forced Joel to stay with him or used him as bait and put him in danger on purpose. What if he is hurt? What if he…?”

I lean into him and give his ear a bite. It stops his nervous blabbering.

“What the fuck, Aki!” He grabs the top of my hair and pulls my head back.

I slap it, and when he doesn’t let go, I sink my nails into it. He loosens his grip, but I keep my hold on his wrist. “Stop wasting time and tell me what is it that you want to do.”

“Fuck! I don’t know.” This is a low blow. I can’t resist his broken whisper.

He loves his brother more than anything.

I hated his unconditional affection toward this person.

Because River has always been my person.

The first one I think about, even before he awoke my desires.

And since I care for River, and he cares for his brother, I do what I can to help.

But I have to admit, Joel is a true magician at making lingerie for men, so if he can make more for me…

I lace my fingers with his and turn his face my way. “We are going to Moretti’s right?” After I get his silent confirmation, I keep going, “The girls are joining us there.” I look down at my texts. “They are ten minutes behind. We should wait for them, and then—”

“No more waiting, Aki. I need to be sure he’s fine.”

I sigh.

“We are here,” the taxi driver utters in a trembling voice. I toss a hundred on his lap and get out of the car. River is already marching toward the building. Damn it. I reach him in the luxurious lobby—not as lavish as mine.

He’s talking with the guy in uniform behind the desk.

When his hand moves toward the phone to inform Moretti, River grabs the guy by the front of his jacket and growls in his face, “You will give me the code to Moretti’s apartment, or I’ll slam you into that wall until I leave your shape in the marble. ”

I feel a tingling sensation in my guts. I’m really into this forceful side of him. I’ve always enjoyed his ruthlessness, but now, I do on another level.
