Epilogue
EPILOGUE
WAVERLY
“ Y ou look beautiful, wife,” Emmett murmurs against the shell of my ear as we rock from side to side in the middle of the dance floor.
Our wedding was everything I ever dreamed it would be. Small and intimate, just a few people that mean the most to us, and so much love I can barely believe this is my life.
“Thank you, husband.”
I don’t know that I’ll ever get used to that word, and the fact I get to call two men that word is beyond my wildest dreams.
Where is Kade, anyway?
I look over my shoulder, searching the space for the other man that holds my heart.
“He’s getting our room ready for us,” Emmett tells me. “You ready to get out of here?”
“So fucking ready.”
He chuckles. “Such a filthy mouth on my very good girl.”
“I’ll show you what else my filthy mouth and I can do when we get to the room.”
His eyes widen, but the smile that stretches across his face takes my breath away. “Kade has corrupted you.”
“He could corrupt God himself, let’s be honest.”
“You’re not wrong.” He smirks and grips my hand in his. “Let’s sneak out of here before anyone else can catch us to offer their congratulations.”
I tilt my head to the side. “Oh yeah, it’s awful when our family and friends are happy for us tying our lives together.”
He gives me a pointed look. “You’re going the right way for a spanking before we get to the fun stuff.”
My eyes widen, and he laughs, tugging me out a side door of the small ballroom we hosted our reception in.
He drags me to the elevators, and his hands ghost over the simple A-line gown Abigail helped me choose when she dragged me dress shopping. If she’d had her way, I would have been wearing a bejeweled ball gown and five-inch heels I can’t walk in. This was our compromise, and if I’m honest, I’ve never felt more beautiful than I did today.
“I think we might keep this on while we fuck you.”
A moan slips from my lips, earning me a cocky smile.
“Oh, you like the sound of that, baby girl?”
I nod. “Yes, Sir.”
“Good girl.” He grins as the elevator doors slide open and he doesn’t waste a second before dragging me down the hallway.
He pulls a keycard from his pocket and pushes the door open, ushering me in ahead of him, and I gasp at the sight that awaits me.
The suite has been transformed into the most romantic space I’ve ever seen in my life. Rose petals litter the white sheets and the pathway to the bed. Candles are spread around the room, giving the space a soft glow. And my other husband stands a few feet away, still kitted out in the suit that almost made me swallow my tongue when I walked down the aisle.
How the hell did I get so lucky?
I step forward and straight into his arms, my hands shaking as I drag in a breath.
They’ve given me the world, and it’s finally time for me to give them something.
“Such a beautiful bride,” he murmurs. “I don’t think I’ll ever stop thinking about how you looked as you walked toward us today.”
Emmett steps up behind me as I slip my fingers into the side of the corset top of my dress, wrapping them around the hard plastic I hid before Emmett led me out onto the dance floor. Their patience was wearing thin from the second the priest pronounced us husbands and wife, and I knew it was only a matter of time before they got me alone.
I’m only legally married to Emmett, but the piece of paper doesn’t mean anything to me. In my eyes, they’re equal in every sense of the word.
“I have a present for you.” My voice trembles, and I curse my nerves. I don’t know why I’m so anxious, but as soon as I took the test this morning, I haven’t been able to stop shaking. You’d think we haven’t been trying for the last three months to get pregnant, with Kade fucking me multiple times a day and insisting I keep my legs up against the wall for half an hour after he’s finished inside me.
“You are the present, baby girl.” Kade smiles softly down at me.
I swallow heavily and press the test into his hand, knowing Emmett’s tracking my every move.
Their eyes drop to the two lines on the test, but it takes several long seconds for them to process what they’re seeing before Kade’s eyes snap up to mine.
“We’re having a baby?” he rasps, and I nod, tears filling my eyes as I finally allow the emotions to slam into me.
“Yeah, we’re having a baby.”
Emmett wraps his arms around me at the same time Kade presses to my front, wrapping me in their warm embrace.
“You’ve already given us more than we ever could have wished for, and now you’re giving us a perfect blessing?” The emotion in Emmett’s tone almost breaks me, but I nod, unable to form the words to respond.
Kade’s lips crash down on mine as he pours all the emotion he would normally hide into me, and I drink every single ounce of it down.
They think I’m giving them everything, but what they’ll never realize is that they’ve already given me the world, and I can’t wait to watch them become fathers to our baby.
I can’t wait for the future because I know we’ll always have each other. Every trial, every struggle, will be faced together, and to someone who spent their life alone, that’s the best gift I ever could have been given.
