Dayanara Chapter 9 #3

“It seems there was a party celebrating Breezy’s fifteenth birthday and making the varsity volleyball team. Pictures of Breezy were prominent, as you’d expect. Jess said he was proud of her, and it seemed impossible that she had already become a young lady.

“Webb saw it because he downloaded those pictures of her. I traced it to his URL account. If we get our hands on his laptop or desktop, I know I can locate them. He responded to Jess’s post, saying how amazing she was and how proud he was of her.

It was exactly two weeks later that he informed your brother that he was moving back.

However, he put in his resignation letter three days after that post. I have no doubt he came back specifically for her.

She had reached his ideal age preference. ”

Confirmation that he’d intentionally targeted my sister from states away made me want to scream. I was impatient to get him in front of me.

“Anything else?” Bull asked Outlaw.

“Not that needs to be gone over. Mostly, I’ll continue to lay out more false trails and follow some of the footprints I discovered. If I find anything significant, I’ll let you know,” Outlaw assured his president.

“Thank you for all that, Outlaw. I can’t imagine what it takes to do that. You’re amazing,” I informed him.

“Oh God, don’t praise him. He’ll be insufferable if you do,” Rebel moaned.

A few others grumbled along the same lines. They did it to get a rise out of Outlaw. He smirked, gave them the middle finger, then announced, “You’re all jealous that I’m amazing and you’re barely okay.”

Their protests made me laugh. Bull allowed it for a few moments, then called everyone back to order. They complied immediately.

“So, when do we want to go after this fucker? I can guess Predator, Stalker, and Daya’s answer. But is that the best move? Are we ready to do it that soon?” Bull inquired.

“I’m ready on the armory side. Unless someone wants a bazooka, then I can’t help you,” Maverick said.

“And I’ve got my tools and welcome kit ready. The only thing on my end is if there’s anything special Daya wants. We can get together after church to find out,” Payne added.

I was glad he brought it up. I had an idea. It was rather gruesome, but I doubted it would faze Payne.

“Then it’s studying the layout of his home and the surrounding area, and planning the extraction team and how that will run.

I know Predator and Stalker want to be there.

It should be no more than a five-person team, with a sixth person driving the van.

No one is to wear cuts or other identifying marks.

Faces covered. The van will be stripped down.

We need to be in and out within fifteen minutes, tops.

Ten would be better. After midnight, so it’s more likely he’s asleep.

Outlaw will monitor that he’s there. There are internal cameras in the house, right, Outlaw? ” Bull asked.

“There are. I discovered them when I went snooping around his place. I bypassed the alarm system and got inside. I’m now tapped into his security system and cameras.

When it’s time to enter, I’ll take over the system.

It’s externally monitored, but I can handle that.

Just in case I missed something, I still recommend taking an RF jammer.

The comm gear you’ll be wearing is on a different frequency, so it shouldn’t interfere with you being able to talk to each other,” Outlaw casually laid out.

It was clear they had done this numerous times. I sat there absorbing the ease of it. I’d seen military missions that could’ve benefited from these guys.

“We don’t want him resisting, so it’s best if we knock his ass out.

Zara will provide the sedative. It has to be administered intramuscularly.

The neck will be the best spot, since it’ll react faster.

If we could administer intravenously, that would take seconds, but that’s not possible.

I’ve had practice hitting the mark, so I should go,” Demon volunteered.

“Alright, that makes three. Daya, you said you want to go along. That you can get him to open the door. Do you still want to go?” Bull asked.

I only took a moment to answer him.

“I need to be there for several reasons. I’ll do exactly as ordered.”

“Done. Okay, that leaves a driver and one more,” Bull said.

“I’d like to drive.” Gears stated. He got a head nod.

After some debate, since so many wanted to do it, the last one was Ace.

With the team determined, it was only a matter of fine-tuning the plan.

Everyone not part of the extraction was dismissed.

Those who were part of it stayed behind to study the maps and house plans provided by Outlaw.

I caught Payne before he left. I took him to the side, and we had a whispered conversation.

His eyes sparkled when I told him what I needed.

“Woman, I can’t wait to see what you’re gonna do with those. I’ll bring them.”

I gave him a brief hug and said, “Thank you.”

“What did you ask for?” Stalker asked when I rejoined him and Predator.

“It’s a surprise.”

After exchanging a glance with Predator, they both smiled. Then, it was into the planning stage. I loved this part. I was taken back to my time in the Marines. I was home.
