18. Deep Touch #3

“You already have me, as you can see.” He glanced down at her sex stretching to accommodate his girth.

Emma covered her face with her hands. “I want you to fill me. Completely.” Words tumbled out of her in quick succession. “I want to drive you mad with pleasure. I want to feel owned, possessed. Stake your claim, Everett. Make me yours.”

“Gladly.” The word scraped out of his throat. He then drove all the way inside her.

Emma’s sharp gasp was covered by his own grunt as sensation overwhelmed him.

He held her knees open wide, his eyes feasting on her pussy as she received him.

Every kiss, every caress, every shared breath brought them closer until he could no longer tell where he ended, and she began.

They moved together like molten metal finding its form, discovering each other, while his hand squeezed her nipple, and his muscled thighs slapped against her ass.

Emma breathed his name against his lips, a sound so sacred it pierced straight through to his soul.

In that crystalline moment, the truth blazed through him with blinding clarity.

He would spend every remaining heartbeat loving this extraordinary woman.

The months of yearning had been kindling, each heated glance and stolen touch building toward this moment.

When release finally claimed him, it erupted white-hot and unstoppable.

His entire being shuddered as pleasure thundered through him, each pulse drawing a guttural sound from deep in his chest. As ecstasy transformed him and branded him forever as hers, Everett surrendered completely to their union, to the promise he made.

He collapsed on top of her and caught his breath while she languidly tangled her fingers in his hair.

He eventually stood and picked her up, carrying her to the layers of soft quilts his servants had lain out for them.

They lay with Emma’s head pillowed on his chest, his fingers tracing idle patterns on her bare shoulder.

“I believe,” he murmured hoarsely, “you’ve passed your final examination with distinction, Dr Brown.”

Her soft laugh warmed his heart. “I thought that was a practice test.”

His chuckle rumbled low as he kissed her head. “I stand corrected. That was part one of a five-part examination. Thank you for bringing this grave error to my attention.”

“You are most welcome. I shall look forward to the next fireworks.”

“I believe,” he said, gazing down at her, “it'll resemble a damp matchstick sputtering in the rain. There will be tears of gratitude on my part, however."

Emma looked up at him, trying to suppress a grin. “I was hoping we could finally get to the deep touch portion of our lesson…”

With a look of astonishment, he flipped her onto her stomach with her shrieking. Pressing his limp manhood against her thigh, he rumbled in her ear, “Shall we see if I can reach as deep as your heart?”

Laughing, she said, “I’d be happy with my bladder…” She stopped laughing when he had her straddling his face to devour her cunny once more.

5 January 1841

My dearest Emma,

I admit I nearly spat my tea across the morning room when I received news of your elopement.

You sly creature! To think of all the elaborate plans I had for your wedding breakfast, the guest lists I’d begun compiling in my head…

Well, I suppose I shall have to content myself with planning an absolutely spectacular dinner party to celebrate your return to society as Mrs Moreland.

Your new home sounds perfectly suited to you both; the marriage of science and sophistication, rather like its inhabitants. I’m particularly pleased to hear about the consultation room. Trust your Everett to understand that a physician needs proper space to work, even in a palace.

As for rushing into marriage… My darling, when have you ever done anything without thoroughly examining it from every angle?

If your practical mind has been overruled by your heart, perhaps it’s because your heart recognised something worth fighting for.

Though I still reserve the right to be cross about missing your wedding.

I’m off to our family cottage in Sussex next week.

Mama insists the country air will do me good before the Season begins.

I shall return in time for the first balls, where you and your handsome doctor must absolutely make an appearance.

Society is already buzzing with speculation about your match. Let them see how well-suited you are!

Even in this bitter January cold, I've spotted the first snowdrops pushing through the frozen earth in my garden.

Rather like your marriage, I suspect: finding strength in unexpected places.

May your happiness prove as determined as these winter pioneers though hopefully with less need for battling the elements.

Your still-slightly-miffed-but-utterly-delighted friend,

Helen

P.S. Do try to emerge from your marital bliss long enough to take tea with me upon my return. I want every detail about married life. Especially the bits you’re too proper to put in a letter!
