Chapter 7

Chapter Seven

Ryder

T he sound of fists hitting skin met my ears as I walked into the Psychos’ shed, finding Maddox fighting some guy in the cage. I rolled my eyes when I realized it was Zane Evans, the pair of them covered in blood as they went hit for hit.

“You showed,” Mom said casually as she walked towards me, my eyes sliding to her.

“I didn’t really have a choice. Why’d you want me to stop by? To watch these two meatheads pulverize each other? This is Beckett’s kind of wet dream, not mine,” I muttered, a grin tugging at her lips.

“They’re just playing around. Your temper’s been a little out of hand lately, so I figured you’d like to let off some steam.”

“If you think I’m stupid enough to get in there with them, then you have another thing coming.”

Both Maddox and Zane would beat the fucking hell out of me, and I wasn’t into that.

Mom chuckled, grabbing my arm and steering me towards the cage where another guy stood beside it with his hands tied, terror on his face. “Ry, this is?—”

I didn’t let her finish.

“No thanks. I’m not throwing hands at your victims,” I said sharply, intending on walking away until her next words stopped me.

“Even if I told you this asshole has a long list of child abuse cases and raped a sixteen-year-old girl last month? He’s on our kill list, so feel free to beat him to a pulp. Doesn’t matter how badly you hurt him.”

“What happened to the girl?” I asked as I glared at the man, already tugging my shirt over my head. I’d throw hands with this piece of shit to get some of my mood out since he was going to die anyway.

Maybe it would sate the stupid desires I was having.

“Surgery and being treated for PTSD. She’s only recently gone home,” Mom said bitterly, opening the gate to the cage. “Hey, you two. I think you’ve knocked enough sense into each other today. Get out, I need the cage.”

Maddox scowled at me, but Zane grinned, tilting his head. “I say you let the prince have a few rounds with me. I’ll fix him.”

“Zane, out,” Mom repeated, waiting for them to leave the cage before motioning for me to step inside. She removed the guy’s restraints and shoved him in after me before shutting the cage, giving me an encouraging smile. “Have at it.”

The guy trembled as I shook my arms out and cracked my neck, his eyes going wide as I stepped closer. “Please! I didn’t mean to?—”

I slammed my fist across his face so hard that his nose cracked, his quiet begging turning into desperate cries as I hit him again and again. My knuckles burned but I kept going, taking all my frustration and anger out on him.

Apparently, I was entertaining everyone because I could hear cheers of encouragement coming from multiple people as I beat the hell out of this dude, blood coating my hands and spraying my face as we ended up on the ground with me pulverizing his face until it was unrecognizable.

“Thousand bucks says he kills him and freaks,” Zane said loudly, and Mom told him to fuck off, letting me work out my aggression until arms grabbed me and pulled me off the guy. His breath was weak as he choked on blood, the adrenaline pumping through my veins and making me fight against whoever had me.

“Enough, Ry,” Hunter ordered in my ear, my body sagging after a second. I wasn’t about to throw hands with one of my dads. “Feel better?”

“A little,” I panted, wincing as my hands started to sting. “You got anyone else stashed in the basement for me?”

He chuckled, tugging me towards the gate. “Not today. Let’s clean you up.”

My limbs were like jelly as he led me out, and I stumbled as Maddox suddenly threw a fist at my face.

“Maddox!” Hunter barked, but Maddox ignored him and got in my face.

“You and me need a few rounds too.”

“Not happening,” Hunter argued, making Maddox snort.

“Why not? You let me fight Zane all the time.”

“We don’t care if you kill Zane,” Mom deadpanned, and Zane rolled his eyes.

“Aw, thanks Aunty Rory. Feeling the love.”

“Don’t call me that, you little shit. Don’t you have people to terrorize and graves to dig?” she threw back, his eyebrow lifting in challenge.

“Don’t you?”

She fumed silently for a moment before pointing at Maddox. “You leave your brother alone. Go clean up, you’re on a job tonight.”

“He’s out of control, Mom. Snapping at dumb shit and?—”

“I’m fucking handling it. Do as you’re told,” she warned, ignoring Zane’s snicker as he gave Maddox shit on the way to the bathroom, and Mom turned to me with a softer expression. “If you feel uptight and angry, then you call me, and I’ll find you a human punching bag. Skeet told me you’re dealing with some shit. I didn’t ask what it was, and he didn’t tell me, but all you have to do is say you’re losing it, and I’ll have you throwing hands at someone before you can blink. Don’t lock it away, Ry. I mean it.”

She walked off and left me with Hunter who took me into the office, a deep sigh leaving him as he motioned for me to sit on the desk. I sat, waiting for him to be the first to speak.

“You doing okay?” he finally asked, and I couldn’t stop the chuckle that slipped from my lips.

“Peachy.”

“Ry.” His eyes were full of concern as he watched me, his shoulders relaxing slightly. “You’re not usually violent. That wasn’t just a little bit of anger back there, you lost control.”

“He’s a rapist piece of shit. Why do you care about him?”

“I don’t give a fuck about him, but I do give a fuck about you. Are you spiraling again? Do you need to go back to therapy?” His voice was hesitant, knowing how much I hated therapy. I’d learned that it helped, but I hated making myself so vulnerable to a stranger like that. “And what’s the deal with Tempest?”

I knew that question had been coming.

“I have my shit handled, and Tempest needed somewhere to crash, so I went and got her. That’s the end of it. I swear I’m fine,” I said slowly as if to help him understand. “I’ve felt a little tense lately, but between blowing my load and throwing hands, I feel better now.”

He nodded, grabbing wipes from the drawer and offering them to me. The concern in his eyes didn’t go away, but he changed the subject. “Your mother wants a family meal tonight. Can you be there? You know how much it would mean to her.”

“Is that a good idea? Maddox and I will end up fighting, and fuck knows what Beckett will do. She’ll probably give me a black eye too,” I grumbled, his lips quirking up into the hint of a smile.

“Beckett’s pissed, but she loves you. She’s frustrated because you don’t talk to her anymore about anything. Maybe you could spend some time with her? She’s been beating up Skeet and Slash’s fighters all week.”

“Beck doesn’t understand my addiction struggles, and she doesn’t want to hear about things I stick my dick in,” I pointed out, making him laugh.

“Maybe not, but it couldn’t hurt to open up a little. You keep losing your temper over little things, which we expect with your recovery, but it worries her. She just wants to help you, Ry. She’s your twin, your other half, and she’s feeling helpless. Come to dinner and make conversation so she knows you’re okay. It will relax your mother to see you guys getting along too.”

“Can I ask you something?”

“Anything.”

“Do you think I can do this?” I swallowed, pulling a wet wipe out to start cleaning the blood off my hands. My mood swings drove me insane, but the constant pull towards the drugs was always there.

I’d fight like hell to avoid giving in, but some days it was harder.

“Do what? Stay clean?” When I nodded, he dropped a hand to my shoulder, my eyes lifting to his. “Yes. If you feel yourself slipping then you call me. You’ve got us right behind you, and I promise we’ll do everything in our power to help. You’re our son and we love you.”

“I’m not really though, am I?” I said it so quietly that I didn’t expect him to hear, but his fingers gripped my chin to keep my gaze on his.

“Is that what you think? That just because you’re not biologically all of ours, that we love you any less? None of us care about that. We watched you and your sisters come into this world, and as much as we’ll always see Lloyd, Mikey, and Angel as ours, you were our first born. It was one of the best days of my life.”

He grabbed a wipe and started cleaning the blood spatter from my face, my body slumping slightly. I didn’t deserve the family I had. They put up with so much shit from me.

“Did Skeet tell you about my psychopathic tendencies?”

I wasn’t surprised when he shook his head.

“If you’ve confided in Skeet, then he won’t tell anyone else. Whatever it is, you’re not a psychopath, Ry.”

“How do you know?”

“Because even though you try hard not to care about a lot of things, you do. You have a conscience. When you hurt Luna—” I flinched at his words, his voice softening. “You were fucked up on drugs and weren’t thinking clearly, but when you sobered up, you threw yourself in rehab because you were terrified of what you’d do to people if you didn’t. I’ve never seen you cry like that before, you were devastated.”

“She was scared of me,” I forced out, the defeat and anger bubbling below the surface.

“She’s proud of you for seeking help, and so are we. You want to know a secret?” When I nodded, he continued with a slight chuckle. “My brother used to run the Devils, but when he died, I had to choose between them and my best friend. I shot Skeet and chose the Devils. When I met your mother, I didn’t have the best intentions. The beef between the Psychos and Devils was strong, and I was going to take her to spite Skeet.”

My eyes widened in shock as I stared at him. “You were going to kidnap her?”

“I was pretty sure she would’ve come willingly after a few encounters, she was dealing with a lot of bullshit, and we somehow became friends. She threatened me a whole bunch at first though. Wasn’t sure if I wanted to fuck her or kill her.”

“So why didn’t you take her and run?”

“Because I fell for her. She didn’t need another villain in her life, so I learned to love her alongside the guys. Things aren’t always smooth sailing, you’ve seen us have disagreements, but we’re family and we make it work.”

“Why are you telling me this? You have a point, right?” I asked dryly, amusement filling his eyes.

“The point is, we’re all dysfunctional as fuck, but that doesn’t mean we don’t love each other. We will always love you, even when you don’t love yourself, and we will always help you as long as you try to help yourself too.”

He finished cleaning me up in silence before excusing me, and I headed straight out to my car to drive home. I didn’t want to deal with Maddox or Zane today.

My phone buzzed just as I started the engine, and I glanced down to find a text from Tempest. Her pussy filled my screen, and I snorted, raking a hand through my hair.

I really had to set some boundaries with her because she was getting way too clingy.

I tossed my phone onto the passenger seat and reversed out of the yard, heading along the road towards home.

Tempest

Ryder ignored me for the rest of the day, which caused anxiety to build in my chest. I’d really hoped he’d come to the party with me, but it was obvious he wasn’t going to.

I snuck out my window at seven o’clock and wandered down the road, smiling as I reached Mason’s car. The window rolled down and he gave me a grin. “Hey, baby. Jump in.”

I did as he asked and leaned over to kiss his cheek before buckling myself in, getting comfortable as he started driving towards Blackwater. “Ry isn’t coming.”

“Good, he’s a cock-blocking prick,” he muttered, sliding his hand onto my thigh. “You’re on my dick tonight.”

“Are Channing and Wolfe joining us?”

“Don’t know. You know how they roll, they’ll jump in if the mood strikes their fancy.”

Disappointment flared through me, but I shouldn’t have been surprised.

Channing and Wolfe had an abundance of pussy to drown in, they didn’t like mine anymore than anyone else's. At least I always knew Mason was on my side. He’d left booty-calls in the past to come to me instead when I’d called.

If I was smart, I’d lock him down like he wanted, but I’d be in a one-sided relationship. I wouldn’t commit to him, and he’d just end up hurt.

We were better off as fuck buddies and nothing more.

My phone rang and I scrambled to pull it from my pocket, thinking it was Ryder, but I scowled when I saw my father’s name on the screen. I declined it and shoved it back in my pocket, not wanting to deal with his bullshit.

He must have noticed I’d left.

“Can I crash at yours tonight? I know you guys prefer it when I leave, but I’d like to stay,” I asked, sliding my hand onto his thigh before dipping it between his legs and making him grunt as I gently squeezed his dick through his pants, making him instantly harden.

“You know you’re always welcome in my bed,” he answered, flicking his gaze to me as I unzipped his pants. “If you put your lips around my cock, I’ll crash.”

“Focus on the road,” I warned, unbuckling my seat belt and kneeling on the seat as he lifted his arm to place his hand on my back. I pumped him in my fist for a few seconds until he was as hard as granite, then I lowered my mouth over him, making him curse.

His fingers tangled in my hair as he forced me down onto him, a wet gag leaving me as he hit the back of my throat.

“Fuck, baby,” he grunted, thrusting up into my mouth and making the car jerk forward as he accidentally pressed down on the gas more. “Your mouth is so fucking good.”

I sensed him pull over but I kept going, choking on him and drowning his balls in saliva. He loved a sloppy blow job.

I worked him hard and fast, his fingers tightening in my hair as I moaned around his cock, driving him towards the edge until he groaned my name, unloading down my throat a second later.

I continued to run my tongue around the head of his dick until he forced me away when he became too sensitive, and he instantly dragged me up for a scorching kiss.

At least he always appreciated the effort I put in.

“That was so hot,” he murmured, waving his phone at me. “I filmed it for my spank bank.”

“Send it to me,” I purred, sitting back in my seat with a sly smirk. “You know I love watching our videos while I fuck myself.”

“I really wish you’d marry me,” he chuckled, fixing his pants before pulling back onto the road.

“You’re nineteen. The last thing you should do is settle down. I’d be a terrible wife anyway. I can’t cook for shit, and I’d cheat on you with all your friends.”

“It’s not cheating if I let you,” he mumbled, his hand blindly reaching for mine. “I’m not asking for monogamy, Temp. If you need more than just me, you can have Channing and Wolfe whenever you want.”

“I can see the future, and it looks terrible. We’d live in a rundown house because neither of us can hold jobs, we’d have three kids, but one of them you’d secretly hate because deep down you know it’s one of your friends’ and not yours, and then we’ll fight all the time until I walk out on you for someone else and start the cycle all over again. Do you see the problem here? The short answer is it’s not you, Mase. I’m the problem, and I don’t want to change for anyone. You deserve someone who would,” I answered, his jaw clenching.

“You’re chasing the high because you want to feel wanted. I can make you feel that without all the sex, drugs, and alcohol. I’d worship you and?—”

“Mase,” I said with a sigh, silencing him as I gave his hand a gentle squeeze. “I’m not chasing it for that. I like sex with strangers and popping random pills. You can try all you want, but I won’t change because I don’t want to. You’re wasting your time. I love you, but only as a friend, okay?”

“Fine.” He let go of my hand and didn’t speak again as he drove, and I wasn’t surprised when we arrived at his place and he bailed from the car, stalking off into the party without me. We had this fight regularly, and I hated it.

Maybe it was time for me to cut him off for his own sake.

My heels clicked on the pavement as I walked towards the house, finding Channing leaning against the wall just inside. He eyed me silently for a second before taking my hand and leading me through to the living room, tugging me onto his lap on the couch as he got comfortable, my back to his chest.

Mason was already making out with someone in the kitchen, and as much as I hated that his attention wasn’t on me, I wasn’t upset about the other girl.

It wasn’t like we hadn’t had threesomes with women together.

Channing’s fingers raked through my hair gently for a moment before he closed his hand around it and jerked me back against his chest, his lips brushing my ear. “You’re about to have a problem with me, Hendricks.”

“How so?” I asked with a grin. “I don’t see a problem other than the fact that your clothes are still on.”

He chuckled, the low sound going straight to my pussy. “I’m getting sick of Mase’s whining bullshit about you. You’re good pussy, but you’re not the best. I don’t understand his obsession with you, apart from the fact that you’re easy. He fucks multiple girls each week but he keeps going back to you.”

“Maybe my pussy is better than you think.”

“I’ve fucked a lot of pussy. Trust me, I’ve had better,” he murmured, his hand moving to grip my throat firmly. “Make him realize he’s got no chance with you before I do something stupid like ruin that pretty face.”

“You won’t hurt me, Chan.”

“You know my dick, not me, babe,” he replied, sharply nipping my neck and pinching my nipple through my shirt, making me squeak. “You’re nothing to me.”

“Why do you keep joining us in the bedroom then?”

“Because you’re a cum bucket. Easy pussy. I don’t see a face when I fuck you, you’re just a hole to stick my dick in,” he replied cruelly, suddenly shoving me off his lap and making me sprawl out on the floor in front of him. Embarrassment filled me as I looked back at him, and he gave me a knowing smirk. “You’re nothing to us, Tempest. You’re not one of us, you’re just convenient. The sad thing is, you know this, yet you keep crawling back.”

“Stop playing with your food,” Wolfe said flatly as he walked over, stepping over me to sit beside his best friend. I stood and brushed myself off, not surprised when Mason appeared beside me with a scowl.

“What the fuck are you doing? Why’d you push her?”

“Just reminding her where she belongs,” Channing replied, making me snort.

“If you wanted me at your feet, you could’ve just asked.”

“You know what I like in a woman? A challenge. I love the chase, and I don’t get that from you. Even after what I just said and did, you’ll still be begging for my cock tonight. You’re skilled at what you do, I won’t lie about that, but easy pussy gets boring. You’ll learn one day, and by then, no man will want you because everyone else has taken you for a ride already.”

“Sounds like you enjoy restraining orders and rapey shit,” I joked, his eyes narrowing.

“Why would I need to rape someone when sluts like you fall at my feet?”

“Do you want me or not? You’re contradicting yourself.”

“I don’t have to want you to bend you over. Go play with Mase, I’m not interested tonight,” he said dismissively, and Wolfe chuckled as Mason took my hand and tugged me away from them.

“Why do you let him speak to you like that then forgive him so easily?” Mason grumbled, but I just shrugged.

“You think him being a dick to me hurts my feelings? It just makes my pussy wet,” I answered, a laugh leaving him.

“You’re twisted.”

“You love it,” I grinned, swatting him on the ass. He grabbed me and tossed me over his shoulder, the other girl forgotten about as he carried me to his bedroom. “I thought you were mad at me?”

“Can’t be mad if my dick’s inside you.”

He dropped me onto the bed and unbuckled his belt, eyeing me as I scrambled to get naked. I’d bark like a dog for Mason and he knew it.

“How do you want me?” I asked huskily, and he flipped me over so that I was bent over the bed with my ass in the air.

“Just like that. Legs together for me.” His fingers teased my pussy, and I melted into the mattress, but I didn’t get to relax for long before my hair was wrapped around his fist, and he pulled me back at an awkward angle, sliding inside my pussy with a groan. “Fuck, Temp.”

I held my hands out on the mattress in front of me, my back arched as he thrust in and out.

We ended up with me on all fours on the bed with him kneeling behind me, my face shoved into the pillows as he almost railed me through the bed and into the pits of hell. We’d done a lot of positions since we started sleeping together, so I knew this was his favorite.

Worked well for me because I came easily like this too.

Not that I ever went without, Mason was definitely a giver.
