Chapter 14
Chapter Fourteen
Ryder
I had no idea what had come over me.
Why the fuck had I put my goddamn name on her?
I asked myself that question a million times between pulling my dick out of her and ending up at the track.
The weirdest part of all was that my dick woke up every time I thought about it.
I parked in my usual spot beside Riley’s Corvette, the absence of Maddox and Beckett obvious as people seemed to notice them missing. Word would get around by the end of the night about what happened, not that any of us really gave a shit.
Being arrested came with the territory.
Jett arrived a second later, giving me a weird look when he noticed Tempest climbing out of my passenger seat.
“Don’t,” I warned under my breath as he approached me, but he shrugged.
“I’ve never cared about what you stick your dick in before, and I won’t start now.”
“You racing tonight?” I asked, a smile tugging at his mouth.
“I can. Why? You want to race me?”
“I’m thinking about it. It’s not like Maddox is here to make me look bad, so you’ll do,” I joked, dropping an arm around Tempest’s shoulders as she moved to stand beside me.
Riley narrowed her eyes from where she leaned against her car, but she didn’t say anything.
Logan, on the other hand, grinned as he walked over. “Yo. You still fucking her?”
“It appears so,” I deadpanned, not bothering to hide it. “You want a ride?”
Tempest laughed, leaning into me more. “You and Logan? Sold.”
“Put your hoe away,” I grinned, swatting her ass and making her giggle.
I liked that sound when it was genuine.
“C’mon, Ry. Logan’s fun to play with,” she replied with a smirk, reaching out to tug Logan closer. “You want to play, right?”
Logan was smooth, I’d give him that. I could tell he wasn’t interested tonight, and I wondered if it had something to do with Raven. She stood off to the side with Reid, glaring at Tempest with pure hatred as Logan gently pulled back from Tempest’s hold.
“Sorry, babe. I already have plans tonight. Besides, I doubt Ryder needs help getting you off.”
“Unless he has another dick hidden that I haven’t found yet, then he does. I need both holes stuffed,” she answered without hesitation, Riley’s nose scrunching as she overheard it.
“Can you be a slut somewhere else?” Riley asked bluntly, and I shot her a dirty look.
“Back off.”
“Make me, asshole. Mom’s not here to stop you this time, so fight me,” she snapped, and I rolled my eyes, trying to ignore her tantrum but failing. Annoyance flashed through me and the temptation to just smack her in the mouth to show her I was more bite than bark was strong.
I eyed Raven, who was still glaring at Tempest for being close to Logan, changing tactics to get the rush I needed.
The girl was hot, so I shot her a smirk, letting Logan deal with Tempest. “Hey, Raven.”
She seemed surprised that I was talking to her, losing her resting bitch face a little and almost seeming nervous, which was unusual. “Uh, hey.”
It was Reid’s turn to glare at me. The guys were way too protective of her.
“Are you still a virgin?” I asked lightly, Logan’s amusement dropping from his face when Raven’s defensive side didn’t come out. She was still guarded, but she didn’t snap at me.
“Do you think anyone could get through these guys? Of course I am.”
“You’d be worth the risk of losing teeth. Let me know if you want that cherry popped,” I winked, barely finishing the sentence before Logan threw his fist at my face.
I was an asshole, I’d done that on purpose. I either got to fuck Raven, or fight the guys.
Either way, I got the rush I wanted.
“Logan!” Tempest practically screamed, but we ignored her as we tumbled onto the grass and started throwing fists. No one stepped in straight away, letting us fight it out for a while, but then we were finally pulled apart.
“Are you suicidal now?” Zavier grunted in my ear, tightening his grip on me when I struggled against his hold. “Stop it. If you want to fight people, go ask your mom to put you in the cage with someone.”
“You think I was just saying that to start a fight? She’s hot, and it’s about time someone made her realize that. I bet she’s fucking tight too.” I didn’t expect the punch to the cheek from Raven for that comment, but it just made me grin. “Damn, baby. Get rough with me all you want.”
“Come here,” she hissed, grabbing my wrist and dragging me away from the others, glaring over her shoulder when someone started following. “I’ve got it fucking handled!”
I glanced back to find Reid glaring right back at her, his eyes sliding to me. “Touch her and I’ll kill you.”
I chuckled, letting Raven continue to drag me away. “Mind your own business, Barron.”
He fumed but stopped following, and Raven’s grip relaxed slightly the further away we got from them. Tempest was fussing over Logan so at least she was occupied for a few minutes.
“Don’t cause trouble just because your sister’s not here,” Raven said as she stopped behind the bathroom, giving us privacy.
“Hey, you’re the hot one with fuck me eyes. This is your fault.”
“Hardly,” she scoffed, but pink tinged her cheeks. She liked my attention.
I chuckled, her eyes widening as I backed her against the wall, keeping space between our bodies but boxing her in slightly. “At least if you fucked me for your first time, you’d get off.”
If I fucked her gently I doubted I’d finish, but it was her first time, I could totally fake it. Banging Raven would piss a lot of people off.
Beckett would probably beat me up too though, since they seemed to be forming a friendship.
“You don’t really want me, you’re just trying to start a fight,” she said firmly, her curious eyes scanning my face. “Right?”
“Babe, those idiot friends of yours are giving you unnecessary self-esteem issues. You’re hotter than most of the girls here.”
“You have a girlfriend,” she argued, and I rolled my eyes.
“Who, Tempest? She’s not my girlfriend. Besides, you saw her trying to fuck Logan. She doesn’t care if I fuck you then sleep beside her.”
“That’s gross.”
“Look, when you have gangbangs together regularly, you kind of stop caring about that stuff,” I replied, moving slowly as I reached out to tuck her blue hair behind her ear. “I can keep it a secret if you need me to. I won’t brag to the guys and rat you out.”
I was lying, obviously. I’d definitely tell them with the world's biggest grin on my face.
One of her hands lifted to my stomach, and I could tell she wanted more. I fucked lots of girls, but virgins were hard to come by around here, so she’d feel good and probably cry a little.
It shouldn’t have, but the thought made me hard.
Her brave attitude vanished as I stepped closer so that I was practically against her, her breath catching with anticipation and uncertainty as I cupped her cheek.
“At least let me kiss you.”
I wasn’t even sure what I was doing at this point other than causing trouble. A kiss wasn’t going to do shit for me, but maybe she’d come crawling back to me another time for more.
Why was I even trying to piss Reid and the guys off? I’d completely forgotten.
She nodded, and I didn’t waste time as I dipped my head down to kiss her, a startled gasp leaving her. I didn’t want to scare her off so I tried to rein it in, my dick hardening between us more at her acceptance.
There was something really fucking addictive about the thought of being able to break her in.
Was I an asshole for considering fucking her right here against the wall?
Absolutely.
No girl’s first time should be with a stranger against a bathroom wall, but I wasn’t exactly thinking clearly. Between my craving for a high and the knowledge of someone definitely catching us, I was more than happy to drag this poor girl to hell with me.
I groaned when her hands slipped up my shirt to explore my skin, building her confidence even more as she surprisingly dropped her hand lower to palm my tenting pants hesitantly.
I kissed her more roughly, slipping my fingers below the waistband of her pants with the intention of getting her off, but it seemed to snap her out of whatever lust haze she’d been in and she pushed me back. “Stop!”
I put my hands up, taking another step back to make sure she knew I’d heard her. “Sorry.”
There was conflict and panic written all over her face, and it only got worse when Tempest spoke from close by. “Is she coming home with us or not?”
“No,” I said before Raven could freak the fuck out. “Temp, fuck off for a minute.”
“Why? It was just getting good,” she huffed, but she did as she was told when I shot her a glare.
I sat on the grass, making it even more obvious that I wasn’t going to touch Raven again so she didn’t run off screaming assault or something. “You’re not ready for guys like me. I was being pushy, I’m sorry.”
She sat down with her back against the wall, eyeing me with frustration. “Why can’t I just fuck you and get it out of the way? It’s not special to me or anything.”
“You don’t trust me, that’s why.”
“Should I?”
“Absolutely not. I’m obviously on a path of destruction, and it’s selfish dragging you into it. Never trust a junkie,” I laughed bitterly, wanting to punch myself in the face.
What the fuck had I been thinking?
“Recovering addict,” she corrected, tilting her head. “Or are you no longer recovering?”
“I need a fix that fighting and fucking don’t seem to be giving me. That’s why I came here tonight, to race and get an adrenaline rush in hopes that it helps. You’re insanely hot though, Raven. I wasn’t joking about that.”
She chuckled quietly, giving me a soft smile. “Thanks. It’s an honor to know the infamous Ryder Donovan think’s I’m fuckable.”
“No offense, but I fuck anything,” I joked, not surprised when Zavier appeared. His body language relaxed when he saw us just sitting on the ground talking, but his tone was blunt.
“What are you doing?”
“Nothing, man,” I answered, getting to my feet and offering Raven my hand. She took it and let me pull her up, but she let go fast. “I need to go and race. I’ll see you around.”
“Wait,” she murmured, her fingers brushing my arm. Zavier was definitely watching our interaction, and I was pretty sure he was seconds away from beating me up. “Keep fighting. You’re stronger than your demons. Want me to ask Reid to race you?”
I snickered. “If Reid and I get on a track together right now, it won’t end well. I’ll race Jett.”
She nodded, watching me as I walked away, but Zavier grabbed my bicep on the way past, speaking quietly in my ear. “Touch her again, and I’ll end you. I don’t care what your demons are doing, don’t let them near her.”
“I won’t go out of my way, but if she shows up at my house, I won’t turn her down,” I said, loud enough for Raven to hear me, then I shook him off and walked away, not surprised when Tempest appeared and clung to my arm.
“We’d probably scare her anyway. It’s probably for the best. Bet your dick’s hard from having her innocent little hands all over you,” she hummed, making me snort.
“My dick’s always hard.”
“I’ll deal with it for you,” she cooed. “Since Logan doesn’t want to join us, I say we race then go home. I want you naked again.”
“You always want me naked,” I grinned. “Get in the car. I’ll go find Rick with his fancy clipboard to make sure he’s got me and Jett down to race.”
She happily wandered off towards my car, knowing everyone was watching her and wondering if we were together or not. Being the center of attention was kind of her thing.
I found Rick, who confirmed our race was after the next two, then I walked back to the car where Logan waited with his arms crossed. Tempest had apparently given up with him because she was sitting in the car on her phone.
“I could kill you,” he said bluntly, my eyes flicking over to where Raven was now standing between Zavier and Reid by their cars. “I know you fucking kissed her.”
I slid my gaze back to Logan and smirked. “At least I’d give her an orgasm if you let her off her leash long enough to fuck someone.”
“An orgasm with a side dish of every STD in existence,” he deadpanned.
“I’ve never had a permanent one I couldn’t cure.”
“You’re not making it sound any better,” he scoffed with a shake of his head. “I know you’re dealing with some shit right now, so if you just want a fight or something, ask for one. We’re from the Heights, so it’s kind of our thing. You don’t have to use Raven to make me throw hands.”
“How kind of you,” I answered dryly. “I’m not known for making good judgment calls. I get dumb ideas and fixate on them.”
“Those dumb ideas will put you in the ground early,” he warned, uncrossing his arms and stepping away from my car. “We like fighting, so like I said, just ask for a few rounds if you have energy to burn.”
“I’ll keep that in mind,” I nodded, opening my car door and climbing inside.
Tempest smoked and texted until Jett and I drove our cars to the starting line, amusement in her voice. “This is already all over the internet. Everyone’s so excited to see you race.”
“I’m a little rusty.”
“The idea wasn’t to win, it was to race,” she pointed out, finally looking over at me. “If it doesn’t give you the rush you need, we can always get some powder on the way home.”
“I’m not doing that,” I said firmly, focusing on the race ahead of me. I couldn’t remember the last time I’d raced, choosing to spend most of my time at the track to get high and pick up girls, then rehab took me away from here for months.
Jett trash-talked me out his window like he always did, and I couldn’t help but laugh and rev my engine a little in response.
I double checked that Tempest had her damn seat belt on before focusing on the lights that told us when to go, watching them until they turned green, then I put my foot to the floor and took off.
Tempest screeched, not paying attention and apparently surprising herself, and I whooped out the window as I tore around the track. Jett was on my ass for most of it, starting to get ahead of me towards the end.
I pushed the Hellcat harder, managing to lose by a fraction of a second as we reached the finish line, but I didn’t care.
The rush was racing through my veins, and I wanted more.
Maybe that was the cure? If I raced regularly, it would feed the craving slightly. It wasn’t exactly the same, but I felt like I was on top of the world right now.
I climbed out once I parked the car, pumping my fist in the air as Jett joined me laughing.
“You know I won, right?”
“That was fucking awesome,” I grinned, bumping knuckles with him. “You want to race again?”
“Right now?”
“Fuck yes.”
He laughed again, clapping me on the shoulder. “Best two out of three?”
“Deal.”
Tempest
Ryder was having way too much fun, but I got bored after the second race and climbed out to wander for a while. I needed a drink or something.
“Hey,” Luna murmured as she appeared beside me, making me scowl.
“What do you want?”
“To see how you’re doing. You and Ry?—”
“We’re just fucking. Didn’t you just see him trying to fuck Raven?” I said, cutting her off. “I don’t mind sharing.”
“You deserve more than that.”
“I get that you’re happy being monogamous for the rest of your life, but I like variety, Luna. I spent last night between two other guys and it was fantastic,” I grinned, knowing I was making her uncomfortable.
“Are you dating them too?”
“Jesus, I’m not dating anyone,” I huffed, glancing around to try and find a drink. “Do me a favor and fuck off, or I’ll give you a wrist to match Mom’s.”
“How can you even say that?” she choked out, her eyes turning watery.
“Easily. You’re as pathetic as she is,” I shot back, stumbling as someone hit me.
“You fucking bitch,” I snapped as my eyes met Riley’s, but she didn’t feel like talking as she swung at me with her damn baseball bat, knocking me over as it connected with my leg. “Riley!”
A crowd was gathering when they saw who was fighting, and I cursed as Riley’s foot connected with my ribs. She was meaner than her height should’ve allowed.
Someone shouted, laughter moving through the crowd as it grew, and I flinched as Riley squatted in front of me, speaking quietly. “I’m done playing nice with you.”
I tried to stand, but she stood first and stepped on my fingers, stopping me. I cried out as she put more weight into it, definitely snapping one of my nails, but then she was shoved back hard enough to fall on her ass.
“Get the fuck off her,” Ryder barked, glaring at her as he stood in front of me like a shield. “Stay down or I’ll knock you right back down again.”
“Fuck you,” she scoffed as she went to stand, and my eyes widened when he shoved her back down as promised and snatched her bat, hurtling it across the grass and hopefully not hitting anyone or their cars.
She glared up at him as Luna bent down to fuss over her, leaving Ryder to squat in front of me to help me up. “You okay?”
I wanted to cry to be honest, but I wasn’t about to do that in front of all these people.
I nodded, wincing as he took my hand to help me up, and he tsked when he saw my broken nail.
“We’ll fix that later. No broken fingers?”
I shook my head, flexing my fingers to prove they were okay. “I’m good.”
He didn’t bother waiting around to talk to Riley some more, brushing the dirt and grass from me before leading me through the crowd to where his car was parked. Jett mumbled a goodbye to Ryder, not talking to me at all as he made his way towards where we’d just come from to check on Riley, making Ryder’s jaw clench.
“Fuck them. Let’s go.”
He made sure I was buckled in before making his way around to the driver’s side and sliding in, almost hitting another car as he reversed out and sped towards the gate.
I bit the inside of my cheek to try and keep my emotions in check, my body aching from the hits I’d taken. I wasn’t a fighter, and I wasn’t used to this kind of shit.
A spanking was different to being hit with a bat and kicked.
A sob finally left me as I lost the fight with it, and Ryder cursed before his hand moved to my thigh. “Hey, what hurts? I didn’t see what happened.” I sobbed harder, and I didn’t realize he’d pulled over until he unbuckled my seat belt and pulled me closer. “Baby, talk to me.”
I shook my head, and he sighed, trying to pull me onto his lap but releasing his hold when I cried out. My ribs were on fucking fire.
His fingers were gentle as he eased my shirt out of the way and shone his phone’s flashlight at me. He inspected my hand too now that he was in better lighting, not speaking until he was done.
“Let’s get home. Maybe we can go to a hotel or something tonight since I’d bet money on Riley coming home to keep arguing. You want a fancy hotel?”
“I’ve never stayed in one,” I managed to get out between sobs, a smile tugging at his mouth.
“Then we’ll go stay in one and get drunk or something. I can fuck you over the balcony.”
That made me giggle, and I wiped my wet cheeks and cringed when I noticed the black mascara mixed with it. “How bad do I look right now?”
“Absolute hot mess,” he confirmed with amusement, waiting for me to put my seat belt back on before he drove off again, taking my hand with his. “What started the fight with Riley?”
He listened as I explained how his sister had gone psycho on me for no reason, and instead of blaming me like anyone else would have, he blamed Riley. I possibly left out the part where I’d threatened Luna, but that wasn't a good reason to take to me with a bat anyway, if you asked me.
We made it back to his house in one piece, and Diesel did a double take when we walked through the kitchen. “Hey, what happened?”
“We’re going out tonight or I’m going to kill Riley,” Ryder answered without stopping, and Diesel swept his gaze over me with a frown.
“What did Tempest do to piss her off?”
I should’ve known he’d ask that.
Ryder spun around and glared at him, waving a hand in my direction. “I don’t know, Dad. Exist, maybe? Riley’s had it out for her for ages. She hit her with her bat, you know? How about instead of blaming Tempest, you ask if she’s okay?”
Diesel didn’t look like he really gave a fuck, he just didn’t want the drama escalating.
“Is she okay?”
“Ask her yourself, she’s literally right in front of you,” he snapped, not waiting for him to speak to me before taking my hand and leading me towards the stairs as he spoke over his shoulder. “We’ll grab some shit and fuck off. Tell Mom I’ll be back in a few days.”
“Days?” I asked quietly, but he ignored me and kept tugging me along behind him.
Diesel looked worried, but he didn’t say anything else as he pulled his phone from his pocket just before he vanished from my sight. He was probably calling in reinforcements.
Once shut in Ryder’s bedroom, he started shoving some things into a bag for himself and making me frown. “You really meant days, didn’t you?”
“You know what I want to do?” he asked sharply, picking some of my things up off the floor and shoving them into the bag too as if I didn’t have more in the car. “I want to get drunk, do lines off your fucking tits, and fuck you until we can’t move.”
“You want to get high?” I asked with a grin, conflict on his face as he nodded.
“Yeah, Temp. I really fucking do.”
“Then let’s go and find some! Channing would hook us up!”
“Keep your voice down,” he growled, stalking closer to grab my arm. “I’ll always have you, right?”
My face softened, and I cupped his cheek. “I’m not going anywhere. It’s just you and me against the world.”
He nodded, giving me a kiss before finishing packing his bag.
“Are we, like, dating?” I asked, backtracking when he shot me an annoyed look. “Not monogamously. Like, we’re together, but we can fuck other people?”
“An open relationship? I mean, I guess,” he shrugged.
“So you won’t get mad if I say you’re my boyfriend?” My heart was hammering so hard in my chest as he studied me for what felt like forever before sighing.
“Fine. But the second you start chasing other girls away from me, I’m done.”
“And the second you try to cut off my gangbangs, we’re done,” I agreed, earning an amused look.
“I’m usually part of those anyway. I’m not the type to get possessive. Sex is just sex, there’s nothing special about it. It just feels good.”
We could both agree on that. I’d be more jealous of someone else being sweet with him than I ever would if they fucked him.
This was the best day ever.
We made it back downstairs, and I halted when I found Rory and Marco standing with Diesel, my hand slipping into Ryder’s as I took a step back. He didn’t move back though, staring them down.
“Where are you going?” Rory asked calmly, glancing between us.
“Out. You can’t stop me,” Ryder replied.
“That’s to be decided. I could stop your credit card from working,” she warned, motioning for Marco to approach us. I didn’t understand what he was doing, but he grabbed Ryder’s chin and held his gaze for a moment before shrugging.
“He’s sober. Doesn’t even smell like alcohol.”
“I’ve been racing, of course I’m fucking sober,” Ryder bit out. “We’re going to a hotel tonight, and I’ll be back when I feel like it. You want me to stay? Then be prepared to lose another damn kid because I’m going to kill Riley.”
“Don’t fucking talk like that,” Marco growled, staring at me for a second before speaking again. “Surprisingly, Tempest isn’t fucked up either.”
Rory eyed us both for what felt like forever before nodding. “Fine. Fix that attitude before you come back, Ry. I mean it. We have new foster kids joining us and I can’t have this sort of shit going down in the kitchen in front of them. Noah doesn’t need it either.”
“You can’t take any more in right now,” he scoffed, motioning around the room. “Half the house is in jail for illegal activity, you have businesses to run, and no one’s here to help with kids. Look after the ones you already have under this roof.”
“I love you,” she said calmly before walking off, Diesel following her to make sure she was alright, but Marco shook his head.
“I won’t have you speaking to your mom like that. Is something wrong? Use your words or I can’t help you.”
Ryder chuckled, starting to pull me along behind him as we walked towards the door. “Nah, Dad. Everything’s fine. Don’t worry about me.”
Marco didn’t chase after us, and I silently handed Ryder my car keys as he asked for them.
“Your car’s already out here in the driveway so it’s easier. Let’s go and have a good night.”
I could almost taste the fun that tonight was going to be.
