Chapter 15 #2

I was bent over the pool table, a shit-eating grin on my face as I made shot after shot. The shaky video occasionally panned to Owen and Petie, looking redder and more pissed as I went.

There was bad audio of catcalls from the people who’d gathered to watch. Some cheers. Some rude jeering toward Owen that I’d missed in the moment.

“Keep holding your stick, man. Ain’t nobody else touching it after this.” Peals of laughter.

“This dude is fucking you hard in all your holes, man!”

A tad homophobic, though the tone made it sound almost enjoyable, so maybe not?

“Holy shit,” Axel said as he watched. “I knew you were good, Bails. But you are wiping the floor with these guys.”

The phone was passed to Holden, then to Flynn, everyone watching the video.

“I’m not going to say it,” Holden said after watching the reel.

“I already know what you want to say, and you’re right. I’m reckless sometimes.” I pointed to my eye. “I got the message.”

“Okay,” Holden said with a nod. “I just don’t want you getting hurt.”

I licked my lips. “Guess I kinda took for granted having you all watching out for me.”

“We might not always be there like before, but we’ve still got your back,” Gray said.

“Damn right,” Axel said.

“Thanks.” I cleared my throat. “So, Shiloh’s at school?”

“Yeah.” A sappy smile overtook Holden’s face. “He’s so happy to be back in the classroom full-time.”

“And Holden’s glad he’s never doing that cam shit again,” Axel said with a snort.

Holden rolled his eyes. “I’ve never said that.”

“You don’t have to say it, man. Shiloh’s your boyfriend. We get it.”

Holden shrugged. “If he hadn’t cammed, we’d have never met. I’m happy I don’t have to share him, but if I did, I’d find a way to be okay with it.”

“Because you’re all mature and in love and shit,” I teased.

“Your turn will come soon enough,” he said.

My thoughts went straight to Flynn. I was glad he was sitting behind me, or I might not be able to control my reaction.

What we had was new, and it was too soon to call it love, but it was hardly casual when a guy admitted his deepest, darkest secrets and you told him you wanted him, anyway.

We were too complicated for casual. But that was the story of my life right now.

Axel handed out Zacos, and we all dug in, wrapping papers crackling.

“How’s it going around here?” I asked after I’d wolfed down the first Zaco and slowed down to enjoy the second. “I could jump in on that Malibu?”

“You don’t have to work while you’re here,” Holden said.

“I want to,” I said. “I’ve already missed my class, so no rush now. I’ll get back to campus this evening.”

“Well, hey, it’s up to Flynn. He’s our lead mechanic.”

I twisted to look at Flynn. “Do you mind if I play mechanic for a few hours?”

“I guess I could use a spare set of hands,” he said, trying to sound casual and failing.

But that was okay. My brothers were too focused on their food to see the warmth in his eyes.

I turned forward, lifted my Zaco, and took another big bite. Damn, these were good. I didn’t mind eating them twice in a row after weeks of going without.

The conversation moved on to casual shop talk. Holden bitched about suppliers. Axel complained about missing Flynn out in the junkyard and pestered Holden to approve a new hire for him. Gray bragged on Emory, who was finally starting a small bit of hands-on work at the tattoo parlor.

It was nice to be with them again. To feel like part of the family, listening to them shoot the shit about their day-to-day life as if I wasn’t going to be leaving in a few hours.

When lunch broke up, everyone went back to work. I headed over to the Malibu, and Flynn gave me a rundown of what he’d tried.

Then I dug in.

Diagnosing a car like this was tricky. Every time it started fine, it told me nothing. Every time it didn’t start, I had to go through a set of variables and try to determine which one had changed.

Hours went by while I worked to decipher the puzzle. Finally, as the end of the day neared, Flynn came over.

“No luck?”

“Eh, it’s a tricky one. I’ve got it narrowed down to the aftermarket alarm system. I think it’s draining the battery even when the car isn’t on.”

“Oh, shit, yeah. That makes sense.”

“But it’s a bitch to disconnect. I won’t have time to do it.”

“That’s okay. You saved me so much time by just figuring out the real problem.” Flynn smiled at me. “Thank you.”

I glanced around the shop. We were alone. But to be safe, I grabbed his wrist and tugged. “Come with me.”

He followed me down the narrow hall, past Holden’s office, to the bathroom. I locked us inside.

Flynn didn’t need any clues. He grabbed my waist and hefted me onto the edge of the sink. I wrapped my legs around his waist and pulled his head down.

We met in a fiery kiss, tongues sliding together sinuously. He groaned and moved his lips to my jawline. “Gonna miss you.”

“Same,” I said. “One for the road?”

He drew back, glancing uncertainly at the door, before sinking to his knees. I hurriedly pushed down my sweatpants, the porcelain cold under my ass.

Flynn sank his hot mouth over my shaft, and I let out a shuddery breath. He was good at this, able to take me much deeper than I could him.

He sucked me hard and fast, using his throat to squeeze me tight, and I lasted barely a minute before I was biting my knuckles to muffle my sounds as my climax slammed into me.

Flynn swallowed, holding my cock inside his mouth even after I’d finished coming, eyes locked on my face.

I let my head thump back against the mirror with a sigh.

Flynn stood and helped pull my sweats up, then placed a gentle kiss on my lips.

“You should go.”

“What about you?” I asked.

He kissed me again. “Oh, I enjoyed every second of that. Don’t worry about me.”

He helped me down from the sink and pulled me in with one arm for a tight hug.

“I’ll call when I get back to campus,” I said.

“Good. Go give your brothers a proper goodbye. I’ll see you soon.”

“This weekend?” I asked hopefully. “You could visit Aiden again.”

“I could do that, couldn’t I?” he teased. “I’ll see you then.”

“And when you do…” I looked him up and down. “It’ll be my turn to eat you up.” I winked.

Flynn’s eyes heated. “Looking forward to it.”
