Chapter Twenty
“Man, this sweet as fuck!” Joey exclaimed, walking around the tricked-out party bus. “Yo brother doing it like that?” he asked Sage, who was grinning from ear to ear.
“He did his thing.” Sage nodded, touching the side of the bus.
“You ain’t tell me yall was getting this kinda paper,” Joey continued. “Tell that nigga to put me on.”
“Lil nigga don’t worry about what the fuck I got going on. Get yo nappy head ass on the bus before I leave you here,” Logic scowled, approaching the duo.
“My fault, my fault.” Joey held his hands up in defense. “Come on, Sage.”
“He’ll be there in a minute,” Logic shooed him away. He waited for Joey to step on the bus before he spoke.
“I know, I know,” Sage chuckled before his brother could say anything. “He just happy to be here.”
“I get it, but the type of friends you surround yourself with can make or break you.”
Sage nodded, understanding what his brother was saying. “And you bet not be telling this nigga shit about what goes on in our household.”
“I don’t,” Sage promised.
“Let’s get this thang popping, the life of the party is here.” Shugg stepped out of their apartment in her two-piece American Eagle set and waist length puff vest. Two long braids hung over her shoulders, and thanks to Pearl, she had on a set of press-ons that had all the ninth-grade girls gagging.
“You do know it’s not your birthday, right?” Al questioned, approaching the party bus.
“Oh my god!” Shugg dramatically held her chest. “You dropped something.” She pointed to the ground.
“What?” Al’s eyes scanned the ground, thinking maybe he dropped some money or a blunt.
“Your business,” she snickered. “Because you’re all in mine.”
“Oop,” Spice laughed, bypassing them in the same outfit as her twin.
“I swear I'm shooting they ass first,” Al chuckled as Logic shook his head, discreetly checking his phone. “Nigga I know you fucking lying.”
“What?” Logic peered up at him.
“You invited ole girl?”
“Yep,” he smirked, watching the black Charger swoop into the parking lot.
“And you invited her rowdy ass friend?”
“Yea.”
“Man, you a sucker,” Al taunted.
“Something like that,” Logic tossed over his shoulder as he walked over to the Charger.
It had been a week since he last laid eyes on Tyler, and Logic couldn’t deny that he missed her.
Talking on the phone was cool, but he needed to see her pretty ass face and feel her soft ass body against him.
Her hugs were addictive, and he couldn’t wait to get her in his arms again.
The thought caused a grin that spread across his face as he pulled the passenger door open.
“Bout fucking time,” Logic muttered inches away from her lips.
“Let me find out you missed me.” Tyler grinned, allowing him to reach over and unbuckle her seat belt.
“That shit is an understatement.” He dipped down to place a kiss on her lips, awakening the butterflies in her stomach.
She could feel their wings expand as he pecked her lips a couple of times before sliding his tongue into her mouth.
Breathlessly, Tyler allowed him to suck on her tongue as the butterflies traveled from her stomach to the sweet spot between her thighs, causing a moan to slip from her lips.
Without warning, Logic pulled back and frowned at her.
“Man,” he snarled, wiping his lips. “What I tell you about that shit?”
“Well, I was about to warn you, but you started sucking my face.” Tyler giggled. “You were having a good time, and I didn’t want to stop you.”
“Yea, aight.” Logic helped her out of the car.
“Well, hello to you too Thugger.” Aria waved, reminding him that she was driving.
“My fault, what’s up baby girl?” He nodded at her, tossing his arm over Tyler's shoulder.
“Yall go together now?” Aria quizzed.
“Yea.” Logic grinned.
“No,” Tyler denied.
“Get her ass outta here,” Al demanded, bopping over to them. “Don’t play in my man’s face like that.”
“I’m just saying,” Tyler said with a smirk. “I’m newly single and need to weigh my options.”
“I’m your only option.” Logic kissed the side of her face.
“I know that’s right, Thugger!” Aria clapped her hands, setting the alarm on her car.
“You know you double-parked, right?” Al pointed to her tires slanted across the yellow lines.
“I know,” she said smartly. “It keeps people from parking right next to me.” Aria winked, reaching into her purse to grab a fake ticket.
“They gone tow your shit.”
“Boy bye. The garbage at the entrance is overflowing, somebody bad ass kids over there harassing the ice cream truck driver, and the fire hydrant is on, so I know the water pressure is low. My car is the least of their worries.”
“Aye, don’t talk about my peaceful community,” Al warned her.
“Ah, it’s givin' Alcatraz,” Aria corrected him as Duce pulled up beside them.
“Nigga.” Al faced Logic as Duce pulled up next to Aria’s Charger. “You invited Pearl ghetto ass too?”
“Yea,” he answered. “Sage wanted a nice amount of people.”
“His friends, not yours.”
“Yall his friends too.” Logic chuckled as Pearl exited the car in her spandex bodysuit with army fatigue prints. She cranked the volume up on the stereo and started popping her ass as Whim Whammy played.
“He want this cat, I'm makin' plays, No type of time, I'm makin' pape'. I might just put it in his face,” Pearl rapped.
“I'm talkin' 'bout in ittttttttt,” the twins, Aria, and Tyler sung as Pearl threw her ass in a circle.
“Yo brother hired dancers?” Joey asked Sage, watching Aria and Tyler join Pearl in dancing.
“No, fool,” Sage laughed. He was used to Pearl dancing and throwing her ass whenever she felt a vibe, but Aria and Tyler had him drooling at the mouth. “That’s Tyler though.”
“Tyler who?”
“The singer.”
“Nigga yo brother banging Tyler!” Joey’s eyes doubled in size.
“Aye, loose lips,” Spice called out to her brother. “Change the subject.”
“Shut up!” Sage gave her the finger.
“Throw that Wham all in his face,” Pearl rapped, encouraging Tyler to back it up on Logic. “Wham whammy.”
“Duce, come get yo girl nigga. You just sitting in the car letting this dumb ass song play.” Al frowned.
“This her jam,” Duce chuckled, rolling up the windows.
“Nigga, jam yo ass on. Got people staring at us.”
“Boy bye, you live in the projects, yall used to this kinda shit.” Aria waved him off.
“Is.” Pearl stood up straight. “Hey Loooo, thanks for the invite.”
“You already know.” Logic winked at her. “Let’s board the bus and get this shit popping,” he said, clapping his hands.
One by one, the adults joined the teens on the bus as Lil Baby played over the speakers.
Everyone took a seat and listened as the driver gave them a few instructions.
The paintball park was an hour away, and while he didn’t mind them moving while he was driving, if they didn’t have to stand up, he preferred them to stay seated.
Sage, Joey, Al, and Duce found their way to the PS5s. Aria and Pearl made drinks, the twins started making TikToks, and Tyler and Logic found seats near the front of the bus. When she tried to sit in her own seat, Logic guided her to his lap.
“What’s up, baby girl?” Logic asked, slouching down into the seat.
“Nothing much. Thank you for inviting me.”
“That’s what boyfriends do…invite their girl on family outings.”
“I’m not your girlfriend.”
“So, you sit on random niggas lap all the time?” He bounced his knee, making her booty jiggle in his lap.
“Sometimes.”
“Don’t get put off this bus before we make it outside Detroit city limits.”
“I'm kidding, just yours.”
“Tell me anything.” Logic twisted his lips.
“How’s the album coming along?” Tyler asked, removing his Detroit fitted hat so she could get a good look at his face.
Per usual, his hair was in need of a cut, but only he could pull off the rough look. Running her hands through his hair, Tyler gazed into his sluggish eyes.
“It’s moving,” Logic yawned.
“Are you tired?” She stroked his beard.
“That and high as fuck. Long night at the studio and I been up all day making sure home is straight. It’s lowkey wearing a nigga out.”
“Then how about you take a nap, and I’ll wake you up when we get there.”
“You gone let me lay on yo titties?” Logic sheepishly stared up at her.
“I mean I guess.” Tyler scooted closer into him, allowing his head to rest on her breasts. Draping her legs across his lap, Tyler’s body effortlessly curved into his.
“You smell good as fuck.” He deeply inhaled her skin, causing goose bumps to form on her arm. “You probably taste good too, huh?”
“Hush.” She popped his arm. “I thought you was so tired.”
“I was until you started trying to seduce me.” Logic snuggled deeper into her chest as if he was trying to merge their bodies. “You should be happy I’m a patient man or else I’d have you in the bathroom bent over that little ass sink.”
“Go to sleep.”
“Girl, I’m jealous,” Pearl groaned, handing Tyler a cup.
“The fuck you jealous for?” Duce barked. “I lay on your titties all the time.”
“Ugh. It's not the same,” she pouted.
“Come here,” he beckoned. “Tell me what he saying and I’ll whisper the same thing.”
“Just shut up.” Pearl waved him off, making everyone laugh.
For an hour, Tyler stayed put while Logic lightly snored on her chest. His arms loosely hung around her waist while she softly stroked his hair.
Tyler didn’t know how he slept through the boys arguing on the game and the dance contest between Pearl, Aria, and the twins, but he did.
Al had even paused the game to record everyone, and he made sure to zoom in on Logic, whose mouth was slightly hanging open.
“So, you just gone let this nigga slob all on you?” Al asked, panning the camera on Tyler’s face.
“I’ll just use your shirt to wipe it off,” she sassed. “Come here.”
“Fuck outta here,” he laughed, backing away from her. “I’m not fucking with you, and you still owe me a car wash.”
“Add it to Lionel's tab.”
“Lionel?!” Aria frowned. “Ew Thugger, is that your real name?”
“I’mma fuck you up,” Logic lowly gritted as the bus came to a stop.
