Chapter 18 Graduation Embrace
On the day of the big graduation group photo.
The weather was clear and cloudless.
Shen Xiuming stood in the distance, dressed in a sharp suit, holding a huge bouquet of sunflowers, quietly watching me.
Sunlight fell on him, wrapping him in a soft, warm glow.
He looked impossibly striking under that light.
The moment the group photo ended, I didn’t even take off my gown. I ran straight toward Shen Xiuming.
He set the flowers down, opened his arms, and caught me steadily.
Behind us came cheers and applause from our classmates.
A few months later, at a small pub near K University.
My advisor, Professor Gao, was a fun little old man who especially loved hanging out with young people.
Even though he was already an industry titan, he personally welcomed the new students and took us out for dinner.
Classmates from all over the country gathered together, chatting and laughing.
The professor even invited his current students in the same city to join us. Everyone kept asking the seniors for advice.
Before the food arrived, someone arrived late.
The door curtain was lifted.
A tall man walked in. “Sorry, there was traffic. This meal’s on me.”
He naturally took the seat beside me and tilted his head toward me with a smile.
“Little junior sister, please take care of me from now on.”
