Chapter 2 #2
Camo signals for us to pull over, and we shut off our bikes, sitting astride them as we wait for further instruction. My feet flat on the floor, I look at the huge house in front of me; all the bottom windows of the house have multicolored lights flashing in them.
The upstairs in completely dark, and that puts me on edge for some reason. It could mean so many things.
Music plays, but you can also hear male laughter, then a sound that has all four of us off our bikes and rushing forward.
A female scream, and one that is not out of joy or pleasure.
“Take it down, brother,” Camo growls to me.
We are all strong, but as I am a vampire, I have added strength. Raising my boot, I kick the front door in. Grunts can be heard, but my focus hones in on the girls taped to a table naked, with fucking bite marks on their bodies, and I see red.
My vison clouds, fangs descend, and I attack.
Screams fill my ears making me laugh, hearing the pain and fear that comes off them in waves. It fuels my rage, as I tear them limb from limb. Both human men and vampire males.
Images of how we found Delaney play in my mind like a horror movie and that adds gasoline to my rage.
Moving around the room at my speed, I take them out one by one, not caring what their excuses are. They took these girls and fucking tortured them without their consent.
Moving toward the coward cowering in the corner, I smirk, my fangs covered in blood, my face dripping in the red goodness. He screams, and I soak in his fear.
“Please, no. I can pay you.” He tries to worm his way out of dying, but I shake my head.
“Cunt, I have more money than I know what to do with,” I scoff. “What I do want more of is fuckers like you to die.” My eyes flash wide, then I move in, biting his neck. His blood streams into my mouth; it has been fucking months since I have fed from the vein.
It has been blood bags for me since Delaney left.
Pulling his head from his body and dropping it onto the floor, a scream echoes around me, but I breathe heavily. My fists clench for more pain, and my fangs ache to feed.
“Brother, enough. They are all dead.” I hear Camo’s voice, but my rage is winning.
No fucker should endure what these girls have gone through, what my mate went through.
Oh, fuck.
I growl, the beast slipping free, which will be bad, until I am tackled to the ground. I throw off whatever the fuck it is, then I am being held in place, and my mind goes blank.
“You need to cool down, brother. The girls are safe, but they saw the start to your rampage. Go to them and soothe them over.” Cotton’s voice sinks into my mind, and my rage recedes.
He means using my compulsion power to change what they saw.
My vison clears and I see Camo and Oryn above me, frowning.
“You good now?” I nod, and they climb off me.
Looking around, the room is like a fucking slaughterhouse, making me chuckle. Blood and body parts scatter the room, furniture is overturned, but I see the remnants of the drugs they were using, along with the rope and other items they used on the girls.
“You are fucked in the head, man,” Oryn says.
“I like him this way,” Izzy pipes up, her tone giddy.
I wink at her, and she giggles.
“Four rogue vamps and three humans. I have collected their identifications to see who these fucks belong to,” Camo grunts.
“Rogue vampires? What the fuck? They do not roam into our territory; I have claimed it, along with the club.”
VP shrugs. “No fucking clue, brother. By the looks of the three humans, they go to the same college as the girls. So be prepared for missing posts to go up and the possibility of blame being pushed our way. I will have a word with Tate.”
I nod and exit the house. Harlen has the girls sitting on the bottom step, and he gives me a chin dip when I step outside. They shiver when they look up at me, fear still clear in their eyes.
“Did you know the fucks who took you?” The older one nods.
“He was my boyfriend. Or I thought he was. They wanted to feed off us because they knew we are virgins.” She sobs, holding her younger sister to her tightly.
Halen looks to me, rage filling his gaze. I move in, going down to my haunches so I am eye to eye with them.
Lowering my voice, I tell them what happened and what will happen now.
“You escaped the men who took you, but you never saw their faces. You are safe and will go back to school and be good girls. Those men are gone, so you do not have to fear them anymore.”
They both nod, and I nod to Halen, slapping him on the back.
“I am out. Need to get cleaned up.” He chuckles.
“You go; I will make sure they get home safe.” With another nod, I walk to my bike, slinging my leg over and starting her up.
My bike is my baby; she has been through so much with me and one day, she will carry my woman safely.
As I ride, everything that happened at the house filters through my head, but instead of the girls, it is Delaney I see. My rage is still bubbling, and I know I need to calm down, but picturing how Delaney is now, it shows me just what she has gone through to fight past her demons and survive.
I am a prick for hurting her, so now I need to make up for what I have done.
