Lakelyn Chapter

Lakelyn:

I couldn’t believe what had happened over the past week.

Not only had River and I gained our freedom, but I’d been claimed dramatically in front of a room full of people, and the next day, I was taken to see Blood.

That’s when I discovered his real talent.

He was an ink slinger, a tattoo artist. Unbeknownst to me, Tyrant had asked him to create tats for both of us with our names on them.

I couldn’t believe how beautiful he made them in calligraphy, with mine being more feminine than Tyrant’s.

I was nervous to get one due to the worry about the pain.

And while it hadn’t been great, Blood used a numbing cream, and Tyrant kept my mind on him.

Of course, I went first, and when it was my man’s turn, he lay there like he was about to nap.

However, I knew one thing for sure. I loved my tat, and I would get more.

Every time he saw Killian written above my mound, Tyrant’s eyes would darken, and he’d let me see his possessiveness and love.

We got our tats four days ago. The other chapters went home on Sunday.

Today, we were in Kearney and had just finished putting the last boxes in the moving truck.

We’d arrived early this morning with several guys to liberate our belongings.

The look on our landlord’s face when we met him at the storage unit he’d put them in was comical.

He was so pale and nervous that he could barely speak.

With my man glaring at him and saying nothing had better be missing or broken, who could blame him?

“Is there anything else you want to do while we’re here? The prospects are driving the truck back and will begin offloading the boxes for us. If you want to see anyone or stop anywhere, we’ll do that,” Tyrant offered.

I thought about it and then shook my head.

“No, I have everything and everyone I need. It’s sad to say that even after living here our whole lives, no one truly cares.

Our landlord didn’t report us missing, nor did my employer or any of River’s so-called friends.

” That told the story, and we were better off.

“Then let’s go home.”

“Yes, let’s go home,” I agreed.
