6. Stella
I’m thrust into a blinding spotlight.
Alien eyes descend upon me from all sides, looking at my exposed body with hunger. I try to cover up, but the more I do, the more they simply laugh at me.
I hear them snarling, growling and barking.
“Look at that pale piece of human meat. She’d make a fine toy. I want to tear that sniveling bitch apart. Knot all her holes and leave them gaping. Look, I think she can hear you, Brutus. Look at her tears. I want to drink them as I claim all her holes. Hahaha!”
I curse the implant the lizards gave me. I’d rather not hear what these monsters want to do with me. Because now… now I know there’s no hope.
This is how I die. Torn apart by monster cocks. Used and discarded like a piece of meat.
And then…
Then I see him.
He’s across the room, all the way in the back, on a raised platform. Tall, red-skinned, and regal. That’s the word that comes to mind: regal. There’s something about the way he carries himself that instantly tells me he’s nothing like these wild brutes.
Our eyes meet, and the alien nods, and a sudden calm washes over me. As long as I’m looking at him, I feel… safe.
Which is absurd.
I’m about to be auctioned off to these savage beasts. I’ve been abducted, drugged and chipped. Hope is the last thing I should be feeling, but when I look at him, that’s exactly what I feel.
And then he looks away, our eye contact is broken, and the feeling of safety disappears instantly. Like the sun hiding behind a dark cloud. Terror washes over me, and my heart pounds so fast I can barely hear a thing.
The red alien seems to struggle briefly with a blue alien on their platform, and then the red alien leaves, and the last bit of hope I was clinging on to fades away into nothingness.
I don’t know what I was thinking. Of course he’s not going to save me. He was merely enjoying the show.
There’s no hope here.
“Going once! Going twice! Sold! The human virgin has been sold to King Ro”Kal of the Erullian country of Kalnia for a breathtaking three hundred million Erullian credits!”
The words barely register. Some monsters laugh, others cheer, others boo. Hot tears stream down my face.
The blue alien I saw before is suddenly standing before me. He’s scaled and alien and grotesque. Just looking at him makes my skin crawl, and when I see the grin on his face and the look of pure evil in his yellow eyes, I want nothing more than to sink right through the floor.
“Hello, human,” he snarls as he strokes my cheek with a long, sharp nail. “I am your new King. We’re going to have so much fun together.”
