Chapter 42 #2
My fly was undone, my cock in my fist before I even knew it. The hormones that had long been burning through my system—pushing me over the edge at the mall—were back.
The thick girth of my shaft notwithstanding, Thistle took me all the way to the knot. There was a moan in her chest, eyes crossing as Knox pressed his fingers into her cunt from behind.
This had to be the pinnacle of existence, her lust scenting the air. I pumped into her mouth slowly, pulling out enough for her to catch her breath.
Knox freed his own cock and adjusted her hips. The plug was buzzing, and through the bond I could feel a hint of desperation from her.
She was so turned on.
It was hard not to focus on the way her back arched as his cock split her open. She whined as I drove in, the sound muffled and happy.
I don’t think I’d ever been so turned on as we took her like that, her scent pure bliss.
Knox sped up, and she moaned again, body limp as we took our pleasure with her, pure, happy surrender in the bond.
I pumped into her, fist tight in her hair as I let her breathe again, then drove in without mercy. She was shivering, and I felt our pleasure building together.
This was the first time both me and Knox had chosen intimacy with Thistle.
The first time he’d had no say, the second I hadn’t, but I couldn’t ignore the part of my brain that accepted this as right.
It paired with the feral instincts demanding I claim her.
As if they were as tuned into pack dynamics as they were our Omega.
“You take your pack so fucking well, Kitten,” I growled, sliding my shaft right to the knot. The words came out before I’d thought them through.
I hadn’t intended to make eye contact with Knox, but I glanced up before I could stop myself. He looked a little shocked, actually, which was saying something for him.
Well. It would be too awkward not to commit now. “You’re such a good pack Omega,” I told her, dropping my gaze and watching her take my length all the way.
Thistle moaned over me, the words sending her over the edge she’d already been waiting on, fists balling where they were pinned together as I pumped into her. It was too much with her tight body convulsing around me, and I finished down her throat. Knox wasn’t far behind.
“Fuck, you’re perfect, Doll,” he groaned, fingers biting into her hips, his lips pulled back in a slight snarl as he climaxed. I was pretty straight, but not so much that I couldn’t appreciate it.
Tucking my length away, I dropped back onto the daybed, dazed as I watched them.
Knox had turned off the vibe, and Thistle was peaceful and happy in the bond, now seated on his desk as he pressed his lips to hers.
I did a double take at that, not having expected it given where those lips had just been.
Maybe what Thistle had said to me the other day—under the duress of Bambi’s terrified gaze—had stuck in my brain.
He was a complete prick, but I had claimed him.
When I’d saved him from Bella’s Alphas the night she’d invaded our home—I’d felt a flicker of it then. And when my instincts had risen at her party as I’d stopped Bella putting her hands on him, that was when it had become impossible to ignore.
I had claimed him, and my hindbrain clung to that. I didn’t know how to picture this pack without him. More than that, if I was truly honest, I didn’t know how to picture being a part of any pack without him.
Knox lowered down to Thistle’s neck, drawing his teeth across her skin. His eyes met mine for a moment as they grazed my bite. I wasn’t expecting to feel… happiness, seeing that, as if there really was something wrong that he wasn’t in this fucking bond yet.
She’d been stressed, and I’d been out of my depth.
He’d fixed it.
Thistle let out a rumble of delight as Knox dug his teeth in just a little.
I realised there was a stupid smile on my face. Wiping it off, I tapped on my phone, which I’d absently pulled from my pocket, pretending to distract myself. If the other two didn’t sort it out soon, I’d hunt down Bella myself. Knox was pack, and that was a fact none of us could go back from.
“You know this was supposed to be punishment,” Knox said to her. “Not a reward.”
Thistle’s smile was devilish, and she looked very pleased with herself.
Knox chuckled. “Maybe I’m not done.”
She perked up, clearly still turned on and ready for more.
“Get on your knees under my desk, and use those sweet lips to keep me happy until I say. Not a word or a sound.”
She nodded, still pink-cheeked.
I leaned back, phone in hand, pretending to scroll while keeping one eye on them. Thistle’s scent thickened in the room, sharp and sweet, and it was all I could do not to shift in my seat.
Knox picked up his phone and dialled a number.
“I’m back in my office.”
There was a pause, and Thistle was tugging his dick out (which was already hard again), but I could tell she was listening intently.
“No,” Knox said. “I’m busy. If you want to talk, come see me.”
I frowned, wondering what the hell was going on. He set the phone down and leaned back in the chair as Thistle ran her fist up his length.
It wasn’t long before the door opened, and I had to stifle a laugh as Ace walked in.
I saw Thistle glance up from under the table. This was perfect; from Ace’s angle, he couldn’t see her but I had a great view of the whole thing. Her eyes were wide as she glanced at me, but Knox’s shoe nudged her in warning.
“Where’s Thistle?”
Frosted moonflower was thick in the air.
Knox leaned back in his chair. “Sketching in her nest? We just gave her the best fuck of her life.”
Ace rolled his eyes, then motioned to his neck. “I’m done with the collar. I’ve been generous with you. I gave you Rogue, secured your freedom—and I have a way to get you into my pack.”
“ Her pack,” Knox corrected. “And… have you?” He looked around with a shrug. He managed, impressively, to make it look completely casual as Thistle ran her tongue from the base of his shaft to the tip. “Where is it?”
“It will take a little longer.” Ace sneered. “But I can still reverse it—and if I do there’s no promise I’ll get the chance again.”
Knox raised an eyebrow. “How convenient.” His expression was stiff, which made sense, since under the table Thistle had slowly taken him all the way to the knot. Stifling my grin took effort.
“If you don’t take this off you can kiss your freedom goodbye.”
Knox leaned back in the chair, and I fought the urge to laugh as Thistle once more choked herself right to the base, holding herself there. I could almost feel how tight it must be. There was a slight tension in Knox’s voice as he replied, “I don’t believe you, Maverick.”
Perhaps I was prone to underestimating Knox.
He’d put Ace in a position I’d never seen him—coming into another Alpha’s territory to make demands, while Knox lounged back on his office chair getting deep-throated by his soul match.
Knox tossed a small black remote control on the table. Ace eyed it, clearly thinking it was the controller to his collar, but it was definitely the one he’d pulled out with Thistle’s butt plug. I grinned as he gave it a flick in Ace’s direction. “Take it, Maverick. Please .”
Thistle had switched to using her fist to keep Knox stimulated for a moment, head cocked as she listened. She caught my eye and flashed a devious smile at me.
Ace rolled his shoulders, clearly running through the possibilities. I happened to know the shock collar Knox had was wired to go off if the wearer picked up the remote.
Clearly aware of the possibility, Ace dragged his gaze from it, his icy blue eyes meeting Knox’s with fury. “You know, I’d almost believe you didn’t want a place in the pack.”
Knox grinned. “You don’t think, after this many years working alongside vermin, I wouldn’t be working on my own exit plan?”
“ Do you have a way to get Bella?”
Knox didn’t answer, looking perfectly confident as Thistle squeezed her fist around the base of his shaft, slowly working the tip in and out of her perfect lips, eyes drifting up occasionally.
Ace looked deadly with fury as he stalked from the room and slammed the door.
The moment he was gone, Knox groaned, leaning back in his desk chair. His fist found her hair.
“You’re so fucking perfect, Doll,” he growled, dragging her roughly over his length. It only took two pumps before he hit his max, knuckles going white on the desk as he emptied down her throat.
Shit. Second show of the night, and no less good for it.
Finally, Thistle got to her feet, returning to the desk in front of him and setting Bunny on her lap.
“ Do you have a backup plan for you know who ?” she asked.
“Yes. The biggest hurdle is finding her. She’s in hiding—and I doubt she plans on coming out anytime soon.”
“That doesn’t sound promising,” Thistle muttered.
“Depends on your friends.”
She frowned. “What fr—? I mean… what does that mean?”
I looked at Knox.
What was he talking about?
I knew the Misfits were helping, but what else was he up to?
“I’ll tell you if it works out. But I have to make a call—Rogue might be useful. If you want to go pick a movie, we can find you after if you aren’t… tied up?”
Thistle brightened, sliding off the desk.
“But that toy stays in until one of your Alphas says otherwise.”
She bit her lip, lust spiking in the bond as she looked back at me for a moment, then she leaned in, whispering something to Knox.
Knox reclined in his chair, folding his arms.
“ Please , Daddy.”
“You’re no fun.”
“Fun?” She folded her arms. “I am your Omega. I am the funnest fun you are ever gonna get,” she said, mimicking a voice I’d never heard from her before.
Knox snorted, but he opened his desk drawer and pressed something into her hands.
Her grin could have lit up a whole Christmas tree as she stuffed the gift into Bunny’s pouch and pressed a kiss to his cheek. She came to give me a peck too, then rushed out of the room.
I found myself smiling again until I realised it was just me and Knox left.
“What’s that about her friends?” I asked.
“Someone was trying to make sure she was safe. Nothing nefarious.”
I nodded, processing that. Who was looking for her? She had mentioned to me once that she had older brothers that cared about her, but then from what I could tell, her blood family weren’t good people. Either way, I don’t know how they might come in useful to Knox.
“Why did you bring her in?” Knox asked.
I shrugged. “You’re better at boundaries. That’s what she needed.”
“Huh.” He considered that, not meeting my eyes now.
“What’s the meeting about?”
“There isn’t one. I wanted her to walk out at just the right moment…” He was watching his laptop screen with a grin. “Timed it perfectly . Ace just walked into her leaving.”
