Chapter 45 #2
She was panting, moans spilling out as I began to thrust into her. I looked down, drinking in the way her body shuddered as I pulled almost all the way out, then slammed back in. It never seemed like I should fit, but she took me all the way, the sounds she let out becoming more and more desperate.
Eventually her eyes rolled as she shook with an orgasm that left her trembling, body jerking against mine. I’d released her wrists at some point, and her nails clawed at the desk, her cries breaking into high, desperate gasps.
I slowed, then drove harder as she collapsed beneath me, every thrust overwhelming her. The mirror caught every flicker of her expression as she tumbled into bliss.
It took everything in me to hold my own climax as her cunt gripped me. I released her hair and circled my hands around her waist. I paused a moment, and she caught her breath, feeling the hold I had on her.
“Use me, Alpha,” she panted.
She gasped as I dragged her back with ease, slamming my length forward mercilessly as I chased my release.
Right before I finished, I pulled out, lifting her and dropping her onto the bed.
I tugged the mask off, wanting to see her fully, then I followed and pinned her wrists above her.
She couldn’t move, trapped beneath my huge form with no escape as I angled her hips and used my weight to drive into her from behind.
The sounds she was making now were feral, and I pounded into her until I was on the edge.
Then I pressed forward, stretching her tight walls with the full thickness of my knot. My size forced her to arch beneath the pressure, and she whimpered, another wave of an orgasm tearing through her before she could catch her breath.
I leaned close, biting at her shoulder, rutting her through the aftershocks until she sagged beneath me, limp but moaning.
When she finally found enough strength to look up, there was a smile on her face. “That was so hot.”
I tugged up the hood mask and grazed my teeth along her neck.
“Thank you for saving me,” she whispered, a cheeky smile playing on her lips.
I chuckled. “I’ll be your supervillain any day, Kitten—though I’m surprised Knox didn’t follow. Usually he can’t help himself.”
We lay together until my knot finally released her. She went to clean up as the phone in my pocket buzzed. I tugged it out, reading a message from the group house chat the Misfits had added me into.
I grinned when Thistle returned, a towel wrapped around her from a shower, though her hair was tied up and still dry.
“Bambi’s ready for visitors,” I said, waving the phone.
Thistle’s eyes lit up. “She is?”
“Yup. She wants you first.”
“Fuck yes!” She grabbed fresh clothes, tugging them on in a hurry. Then she snatched up Bunny, gave me a kiss, and darted from the room, buzzing with excitement.
I tugged the black mask off to breathe properly, and lingered in her nest alone, happy to bask in her moonflower scent as I played a game on my phone.
I’d lost track of time when the door creaked open.
I looked up to see Knox stagger in, unsteady on his feet as he held a box up triumphantly. He opened his mouth, then saw it was me. “Oh. Where is she?”
“Bambi’s nest.”
He looked sick, but happy.
“What the hell is that?” I asked.
I think it was the most real smile I’d seen on his face as he set the box down on her bed.
“I can bite in.”
THISTLE
Bambi’s nest was exactly like a nest should be.
The Misfits had given her so many pillows and blankets that it formed a full cave on the massive, low bed tucked into the corner.
A burrow.
It was arranged perfectly, with low lights glowing from within. Fairy lights also hung from the walls and ceiling, and the curtains were drawn tight across the room. It was a grotto of Omega safety, and her scent was everywhere, calmer than it had ever been.
“Holy shit,” I whispered, hugging Bunny close as she pulled me into the burrow. Inside lay a snug nook, wall lights casting a soft glow, with notebooks and pencil cases tucked nearby.
“It’s so perfect.”
Bambi smiled, then nodded, scrawling something out. ‘Everyone has been very kind.’
I nodded. Especially Vance, who always addressed Bunny as well as me—not many people did that.
He was a good man.
I looked down to see what she’d added. ‘You’re the first one to visit.’
I beamed, looking around. “It’s amazing.” I noticed her pink bunny peeking out from the pillows beside me and set Bunny next to it. I wondered if she’d named it yet. “Knox is sorting out a tutor for sign language—said we could all join if we wanted, but I’ve been looking up some tutorials online.”
Bambi grinned, pulling out her phone and opening a video app to scroll through her history. It seemed she’d been doing the same thing. She wrote out: ‘You have to do it with me. I’m no good at languages.’
“Knox said it’ll be quicker because we have to.”
True enough. I already knew half the alphabet. It was a good start.
I jumped at a loud knock on Bambi’s door.
I crawled out of the burrow, staring at it. Was that one of the Misfits?
Bambi frowned, peering after me.
It happened again—three knocks, equally spaced. I froze, the hairs on the back of my neck rising. Beneath the door I saw a strip of light and the two shadows of feet.
Something… was wrong.
Bambi made to follow me out, but I turned, voice sharper than I’d meant. “Stay there,” I hissed.
Her wide eyes were the last thing I saw before I stuffed a pillow over the entrance to the burrow.
I opened the door to a foreign Alpha’s scent and looked up into dark eyes behind a pale mask. It looked like bone, carved with a sharp ridge that hinted at a beak, its edges veined with gold.
“Thistle Maverick.” His voice was a low, smooth rumble, entirely unconcerned that he was somewhere he shouldn’t be. “It’s a first for me that an Omega holds the keys to so many things I’m interested in.”
My heart raced as I stared, thoughts forming too slowly.
Don’t look back.
Don’t let him know Bambi’s here.
“Who are you?”
He was dressed in a neat suit, with clean, pointed Oxfords. He was well put together, with confidence he shouldn’t have in a home that wasn’t his. “Right.” His dark eyes stayed fixed on me. “You don’t know me yet.” A gloved hand reached out to shake mine. “Carrion.”
