Epilogue Aspen

I t’s June first and it’s time! Harmony looks beautiful and Jasper is so in love that he’s chomping at the bit to marry his gorgeous and sweet fiancé.

And when she walks down the aisle, I stand in the vestibule where I am coordinating and clasp my hands, my tears rolling down my face like a waterfall.

“Oh god!” Micah groans. Stop crying, baby! You know it breaks me when you look like that! I can’t stand to see you cry.”

I sniffle and turn into his arms, trying to keep from rubbing myself on his tux and ruining it. He looks so damn good in it that it would break my heart never to see him in it again if I ruin it.

He holds me tight and my arms try to wrap around him but my big freaking belly gets in the way. I’m still two months away and I look like I swallowed a tire…or two.

I smile up at him mistily. “You really look good in this tux. You’re going to save me a dance, right?”

He chuckles and tips my lips up, his fingers warm and gentle on my chin. “I’m gonna save you all my dances, baby. Every single one of them.”

I huff out a laugh. “I’m not sure I can handle more than one right now. My feet are killing me.”

He glances down and frowns. “Why the hell are you wearing heels? Of course your feet are swelled.” He pushes away and growls. “I’m gonna run back to the house and pick up your sneakers. I told you to wear them today instead of those heels!” He glares at the offending footwear like it’s personally attacked him somehow.

“I brought them. I was going to change after the wedding.”

“Change now.” He crosses his arms over his big, broad chest and my mouth dries out. He looks so freaking sexy and my hormones are still so wildly out of control that all he has to do is walk across a room and pull off his tie and my pussy gets so wet it’s embarrassing.

Not that he cares. He loves it! All of it. Indigestion and too many bodily functions to name. Doesn’t bother him at all. He’s fascinated by the whole thing and it’s actually kind of cute.

But I don’t want cute right now. I want a hard fucking and he’s just the guy for the job!

“Come help me,” I say, my lips twitching with the smile trying to break free.

“Don’t try and look so damn innocent, Aspen. I know what you want,” he mutters, glancing left and right, his cheeks flushing. “We’re not doing that here,” he hisses.

“I just want some help putting my shoes on. You know it’s hard for me to tie my shoes right now.”

He rolls his eyes but follows me out to the changing rooms that are empty now since the wedding party is up.

I pick up the shoes and his dark brow lifts. “Aspen. There aren’t any laces on these shoes.”

A smile tries to break free even as I reach out to grasp hit tie, tugging him to me. He fakes a glare but I see the heat in his ice-blue gaze. “What are you doing, sweetheart?”

I run my lips down his throat and nibble on his ear, smirking when I hear his breath quicken. “What do you think I’m doing?”

“I don’t think you’re trying to change shoes.”

My brows lift and I giggle. “Nope. I’m afraid I got you here under false pretenses. I’ve been a naughty girl. What are you going to do about it?”

He chokes and then he pulls me over to the fainting couch in the corner and drops me to the soft cushions, jerking at my skirt and pushing it up until he’s staring at my panties. Which are no longer the pretty ones that I love. But he doesn’t have a problem with it when he groans.

“You’re so dang wet, sweetheart. I think you need a licking.”

I grin. “A really good one.”

He laughs out loud and jerks me down until he can rip my panties off. “I only do good ones, Aspen. You know that.”

And his tongue traces my seam, lighting up all the nerve endings. My clit throbs and he growls, delving in deeper until ripples of pleasure wash over me and I drop my head to the back of the couch, covering my mouth and screaming into my hand.

“That’s it, sweetheart. Let go. I’ve got you.”

He’s always got me. He’s my lover, my protector and my best friend. The father of my baby and just the best man I know.

He pulls me up and straightens my skirt. He bops my nose and smirks. “Told you it would be a really good one.”

I giggle breathlessly and then sit up slowly, so damn limp and sated that I can barely get my hands under me. “What about you?”

He holds out his hands and helps me to get situated, his arms wrapped around me, kissing my cheek.

“Oh, don’t worry. I’ll get mine later on when we’re home alone so that you can scream the house down. That was all for you, baby.”

“You spoil me.”

He drops to his heels and then gently slips off my heels and then slips on my sneakers. He stands up and kisses me gently, my whole body immediately firing up. “I live for spoiling you, Aspen. You and this baby mean the world to me. But we need to get downstairs before everyone guesses what we were doing. We are professionals.”

I giggle and follow him out the door. I can’t believe this is how my life is going now. Not even a year later and I’m happily living with the man of my dreams and we’re expecting our first child. We’re running a successful business together and our future is looking incredible.

I never thought I’d have anything like this life. But damn am I happy that I gave us a chance.

I’m not sure it’s perfect planning. But life isn’t perfect, is it? I reach the bottom of the steps and the little flower girl comes out, holding Princessa’s leash and laughing.

Harmony eyes me with twinkling eyes. “It’s a good thing that Princessa was in the wedding party or who knows what she might have seen!”

I flush. “You’ll understand. Some day.”

She giggles and eyes her new husband who’s hugging his mom and dad. “Oh, I get it. Believe me.”

Micah groans. “I’m going to leave you two women to deal with all this stuff. I need to check on the food.”

“How is everything?” Harmony whispers.

“Oh, so good,” I giggle and hug her. She sighs and hugs me tight.

“I’m so happy for you.”

“I’m happy for you too. Now let’s go get your new husband and get this show on the road.”

And tonight….I’m gonna show Micah exactly how happy he makes me. At least twice!
