Chapter 7
SEVEN
CASEY
Istrolled inside from the garage, still wired from that fucking kiss with Ryker. I needed to relieve myself, and fast. I’d never met someone who turned me on the way he did.
Eli and Malik sat on our sectional with a few beer cans littering the coffee table and a movie paused on the television. Eli turned, throwing his arm over the back of the couch. “How was your date with the hot mechanic?”
Damn it, I had to talk to them first. Huffing a sigh, I grabbed a water bottle from the refrigerator and fell onto the corner of the couch. “It was amazing.” I twisted the cap off.
“Care to elaborate?” Malik sipped a beer.
“He’s…” How do I describe him? “He wouldn’t let me kiss him, so the only thing I thought about all night was kissing him, and then when I did, holy fuck, I almost blew a load.” I chuckled. Had he turned me into a teenager again?
“Dude, he’s got your number.” Shaking his head, Malik huffed a laugh. “Has anyone ever made you wait?”
All I’d had the last year were hookups. “Uh, no, why would they? I haven’t been on a proper date in forever.” I adjusted my still-aching cock. Damn it, I needed to wrap up this conversation.
“So, does this mean you like him?” Eli’s grin went slack.
“I…” My heart flickered with warmth as images from our date floated through my mind. “Yeah, I do like him. A lot.” Fuck me, was I in trouble with him? Naw, I’d figure this out. I always did.
“Does he like you?” Arching a brow, Malik said, “Or is he humoring you because you agreed to coach his brother for free?”
“Malik, don’t be so harsh.” Eli flashed Malik a glare.
“It’s something he needs to consider.” Tapping his finger on the top of his beer can, Malik’s gaze hardened. “Casey, just watch yourself.”
“He likes me. He said so.” Didn’t he? Or maybe he didn’t. Fuck, I didn’t know. He’d agreed to another date. But wasn’t it prefaced with coaching his brother? With a deep inhale, I rose. “Listen, we had a great date, and we’ll have more and see where it goes.” With a shrug, I sipped my water.
“Just be careful, Casey. You’re so used to hookups, I don’t know how you’d deal with falling in love.” Malik sent a look to Eli, who pursed his lips.
“I don’t fall in love.” Except for that one time…Scoffing a laugh, I sauntered into my bedroom. It was time to take care of this raging case of blue balls.
After shutting my bedroom door behind me, I propped tissue and lube on my nightstand and undressed, throwing my clothing to the floor. Did I even need porn tonight? Maybe I could find a guy who resembled Ryker.
With a smirk, I climbed into my bed and lay on my back, resting against my pillows on the headboard. I gave my dick a lazy stroke, and it stiffened in an instant. Ryker hadn’t believed me, but I’d been serious about the damn kiss.
Tapping my screen open, I ran a search on gay porn and scrolled through the options. After finding a guy with long dark hair giving a BJ to another guy, I stopped and tapped the play button. Here we go…
As the guy on the screen morphed into Ryker, I imagined myself as the man receiving his sucking mouth. I stroked my sensitive cock, and it pulsated in my hand, precum beading at the tip. Yeah, I was already close.
The Ryker on the screen pulled off my cock with a slurp and licked the crown, dipping his tongue into the slit.
“Oh, yeah, right there,” I whispered. Fuck, I’d forgotten the lube. I left my dick for a beat to squirt lube onto my fingers and then fisted myself again.
Ryker sucked me deeply into his throat, and I thrust my hips, fucking his sweet, hot mouth. With a hiss, pleasure surged inside me, and my balls tightened. I dropped the phone onto the bed. Fuck it, I didn’t need the visual. All I needed was in my head.
I sank further into the bed, twisting my hand over my shaft and pulling my balls down, while Ryker crouched between my legs, pumping his own cock while his head of dark hair bobbed over mine.
Goddamn, this was good. As I quickened the pace, soft gasps freed from my throat, and the raw edge of climax teased me. In my mind, Ryker hummed a moan over my cock while his load spurted and splashed against my stomach.
I spilled, sensation spiraling through all my nerve endings, sparks lighting behind my eyes and my toes curling. “Oh, fuck…” Hot cum dribbled over my hand and painted my chest as my body tensed with each contraction.
As it slowed, I fought to control my breath. Damn, it had been a good one. Now I had two scenarios I wanted to play out with Ryker in real time. One in his shop and one…in my bed or his, I didn’t care which.
As my senses came back, I ripped tissue from the box and wiped off. Now I could sleep sated. With a smirk, I tossed the tissues into a garbage bin at the bottom of my bed, under my desk, and threw my clothing into a hamper.
After opening a dresser drawer, I slid a new pair of boxer briefs up my legs and then glanced at my phone. I should shut the browser down and maybe text Ryker good night, so he’ll know I’m thinking about him.
Throwing myself onto the bed on my stomach, I grabbed my phone and exited the browser and then opened my text app. I hadn’t texted him yet, but I knew his number thanks to Wes. I pulled up his name and texted.
Casey
Hi, this is Casey. I had a great time with you tonight, and I hope I can see you and Wes tomorrow.
I bit my thumbnail. Maybe I could recruit him to help me with Wes’s coaching in the morning. A smirk played on my lips. What a great idea!
Ryker
Wes says he’d love to do another session of coaching tomorrow. What time do you want him up?
I stared at the screen, the dots taunting me. He had more to say.
Ryker
I had a great time too.
Bingo, that’s what I wanted to hear. With a full-on smile, I tapped on my screen.
Casey
How about nine? I think we all deserve to sleep in on a Sunday. I could use a hand if you can go with us.
Ryker
Sure.
Okay, second date on the way. I rolled onto my back and reread the messages. I needed to get some shut-eye and be up early. Holding my phone to my chest, I thought about the day. The last time I was this excited to see someone was when I was at football camp with Nelson.
The next morning, I was awake by seven, showered and boiling eggs before anyone in the house was up.
Eli might kill me if he knew I ate so many eggs without them.
Fuck it. I’d need to be nourished for another day in the heat.
I poured protein powder, milk and a sliced banana into a blender and turned it on. Shit, now I’d wake the guys.
After a few minutes, I shut off the blender and poured my drink into a tall glass.
As expected, Eli ambled from the bedroom hallway in his team sweats, rubbing his eyes, and then focused on me. “Casey? What the hell are you doing? It’s Sunday.”
“I know.” After sipping my drink, I said, “I’m sorry if I woke you. I’m heading out for another day of coaching Ryker’s brother, and I needed to get some protein in.” Turning off the burner with the boiling pot, I said, “I only used three eggs. You’ve got another six in the container.”
“Yeah, whatever, I’ll make some Kodiak pancakes for breakfast.” He dropped into a chair at the dinette. “Did you make any coffee?”
“I did.” I poured coffee into a mug for him and added creamer. “Here you go.” I set it on the table in front of him and glanced at the clock. It was eight, so I needed to leave in half an hour.
“When did you decide to go coach the kid? You said nothing about it last night.” Eli blew on his coffee and sipped it.
“Last night when I went to bed. I texted Ryker to let him know I enjoyed our date and mentioned that I wanted to see him and Wes today.” I poured the hot water from the pot and ran cold water over my eggs.
How many damn eggs had I eaten in my lifetime?
A million? They were a staple for an athlete.
“Anyway, they were both available, and I’ve recruited Ryker to help me coach. ”
“What, will you have him running around and picking up balls for you?” Eli chuckled. “Or are you hoping to show off your skills in front of him?”
“Both.” And every time Ryker bent over to pick up a ball, I’d check out his ass. I tapped an egg on the counter, cracking it open, and peeled the shell from it. “I think it’ll be nice for Ryker to be involved, don’t you?”
“Yeah, guess so.” He slurped some coffee. “Has Ryker played any football?”
“I don’t know.” After sprinkling some salt on my egg, I ate half of it. “Guess I’ll find out today.” With him there, I had a few extra drills we could run through. Ryker appeared fit on the outside, but was he? Did he ever go to the gym?
“So, what exactly are your intentions with Ryker?” He set his coffee on the table and leaned back in his chair.
With a shrug, I popped the last of the egg into my mouth. “I don’t know. Right now, he’s a challenge, and my aim is to get in his pants.” Although I might be fooling myself. Wasn’t I having similar feelings as when I’d first met Nelson at camp? Only time would tell.
“A challenge, huh?” With a shake of his head, Eli brushed his fingers over the handle on his mug.
“Ryker sounds like he’s been through a lot in his life, and he’s taken on an enormous responsibility with his brother.
I don’t think he’s the kind who’s looking for something casual.
He’ll need a guy who’ll stand by him when shit gets tough. ”
“Then it won’t be casual.” I peeled another egg into the sink. “I do genuinely like him, Eli.” What sort of shit could get tough? His mother was in jail, and he didn’t know where his father was. The shop was doing all right, but informing the team about it would help.
“Good.” He huffed and drank more coffee. “Just don’t run off on him if things go wrong for him.”
I planted a hand on my hip, chewing my second egg. “What the hell do you think will go wrong?”
“I don’t know, but shit happens. Look at Holden’s brother.
” He chewed his lower lip. “JJ was there for Holden when his brother almost died in a car accident and needed rehab. I can’t imagine the state Holden was in.
But they got through it together because JJ’s the type of guy who doesn’t run from problems.”
“No, he only runs for passes.” I snickered. Fucking Eli, who did he think I was?
“You’re dealing with a family that’s picking up the pieces after a crisis. Ryker will need stability—someone he can count on.”
I stared at Eli, my mouth falling open. “Eli, I can be that guy. I care about Ryker and Wes. Ryker is…he’s different from anyone I’ve ever been with.
” An ache drifted across my chest. “I know I’m usually a fuckboy, but I can be serious about a guy.
” Jesus, what would I do if Ryker’s world fell apart?
What if he lost the shop or something happened to his brother? Fuck it, I’d be there if he needed me.
“I have a feeling you’ll need to prove it to him if you want to get into his pants.” With a smirk, Eli drank more coffee.
“Fine, then I’ll prove it.” The way to Ryker’s dick might be through his heart. My pulse thrummed through my body. Then I’d lose my heart to him, but it would be worth it. “I’m all in, Eli. I swear to you.” I had to view things differently.
“Good to hear. Let me know if you need more advice.” He gave me a warm smile. “I have a feeling you’ll need it.”
“I will.” Fuck, will I. I took a few gulps of my protein drink.
I parked at Ryker’s apartment complex, strolled to their door and knocked. This morning was mild for once, and a few wispy clouds crept across the sky.
The door swung open, and Ryker stood there dressed in a sleeveless t-shirt and athletic shorts, with a few tattoos sprinkled along the cut muscles of his arms. “Hey, Casey, come on in. I was just packing up some sandwiches for us.”
“Yeah?” With my heart flickering, I stepped inside, cupped his face and pressed a soft kiss on his cheek. “Good morning, beautiful.”
“Uh, good morning.” His cheeks flushed pink, and he glanced toward the kitchen, where bread, lunchmeat, cheese slices and condiments spread on the island. “What sort of sandwich do you like?”
Stepping into the room, I said, “Turkey and Swiss if you have it, with mayo.” This was nice, but it meant we wouldn’t be heading to lunch together again.
“I have cheddar for the cheese, no Swiss, I’m afraid.” With a stuttered chuckle, he rounded the island and added mustard to the top of some sliced ham.
“I’ll take cheddar on mine then.” I dropped onto a stool across the counter from him. “Where’s Wes?” Was he late again to force me and Ryker to be alone? He was quite an instigator.
“He’s still getting ready.” He finished the ham and cheese sandwich and started on a fresh one. “How many sandwiches do you want? I’m packing two for Wes.” After slipping a sandwich into a Ziplock bag, he licked mustard from his finger.
“Two.” I watched him work, the callused fingers that normally repaired car engines deftly preparing our food. “I have Gatorades and water in the car, so you don’t have to pack drinks.”
He flashed me a smile as he finished my turkey sandwich. “Thanks.”
Wes strolled from the hallway, his hair damp, and dressed in his school athletic gear. “I’m ready.”
I stood, stepped to him and gave him a side hug. “Good morning, kid.” As I freed him, I said, “Today I want to repeat the things I taught you yesterday, so they stick.”
“Works for me.” He approached Ryker. “Need a hand?”
“No, I’m almost done.” He tossed the sandwiches into a plastic grocery store bag. “I’ve packed some other snacks in here too, some fruit and shit.”
“Great. I also brought protein bars.” This sounded more like a picnic than a coaching session. Turning toward the door, I said, “Are we ready?”
“Yep.” Wes jogged to the door and opened it for me. “Let’s go.”
