Chapter 6 Helayna

HELAYNA

Lokken lowered his head to the splatters on my chest. A low growl rumbled through him as he licked my alpha’s dark alfar essence from my skin. Another raw sound escaped his throat. Throwing his head back, he finally sank into me on a long, smooth glide making me bite Dorr again.

Ever so slowly, Lokken hauled himself out inch by inch, making me writhe beneath him. “You said,” he panted. “You’d bite me. Once I’m inside you.”

Holding Dorr’s muscle in my mouth, I gripped my jaws harder, a silent challenge. If Lokken wanted my fangs, he’d have to make me let go first.

He shifted up to his knees, giving himself better leverage.

Another slow thrust, pushing as deeply as he could.

He wasn’t a small man by any means, filling me up almost to the point of almost being too much but so, so good.

His back arched, grinding his pelvis against mine as if wanted to rearrange my internal organs.

Groaning, I clutched at his back, digging my fingernails into his skin.

Pressure built inside me, but he didn’t pull back out.

All his weight. All his force. All his length jammed inside me. Goddess, I couldn’t breathe. He was so thick and deep. I couldn’t possibly take any more of him.

He slid a hand underneath my buttocks, tipping my pelvis up even more.

His dick throbbed, every muscle straining against me.

My fingers scrambled against his back, tearing at his skin.

Reaching lower to dig into his buttocks.

Power built inside me. Dark, cold waters surged against a mighty dam of ice, determined to break free.

He gave another incremental thrust, and the ice cracked, an entire glacial shelf sliding loose.

Climax rocked through me, tightening me around him.

My legs clamped around him in a vise as if I could squeeze him in two.

My jaws worked on Dorr’s arm, fangs pulsing in time with the tremors throbbing through my body.

The dark river crested higher, still silent and cold and deep, flowing through my bonds in a torrent.

Fueled by Dorr’s blood, my power rose in an endless wave.

Delicious darkness pooled inside me, soaking into my very bones.

Though I was still very much present with Lokken and Dorr, I could see my other three Blood as clearly as if they were standing before me.

Svar spun above the house in a slow, silent glide, his black wings barely making a sound.

Gunnarr’s polar bear climbed the rocky cliff, sniffing the ground for any scent that didn’t belong.

Myrk leaned against the wall upstairs, arms crossed, a formidable glower on his face.

Pàtair stuck his head out of a distant door, saw my Blood, and disappeared again. Smart man.

Still divided, I shuddered with bliss as Lokken dragged himself out of me only to slam back to the hilt. A hard, slow thud reverberated through me. Even as a part of my consciousness swept out over the house. Past Svar, startling him. His wings jerked reflexively, as if he sensed me floating past.

Snowy hills. More black rocks jutting up in a jagged tumble. A thin thread whispered through the crisp night. Calling to me from a great distance. Too thin and weak to sense for sure where it’d even originated. I hung there a moment over the rocky mountainside, trying to pinpoint the source.

A Call? To me? I thought only queens put out such Calls, but I could be mistaken. There was so much about this way of life either I couldn’t remember or had never learned.

Lokken bellowed. “Please, my queen!”

His plea brought me back into my body. Releasing my bite on Dorr, I arched up and sank my fangs into the meaty muscle of his chest over Lokken’s heart. Straight into the Aegishjalmur tattoo.

His blood surged like slushy, icy water onto my tongue.

Pure glacier water heated by the volcano running beneath this house.

Only the volcano couldn’t keep up with the spreading ice.

Burning, so cold, his entire body seared me, inside and out.

Shuddering, he came like an avalanche, crushing me beneath his weight.

His force. The huge bed creaked, and for a moment, I feared even the bed Clara selected to withstand a queen and her Blood would splinter apart like the one we’d destroyed in the cabin.

The cracking sounds worsened but the bed didn’t crumple beneath us. These sounds were sharper, more brittle. Like water tossed up into the air on a bitterly cold winter day, freezing instantaneously.

I couldn’t see anything beneath him. He shifted against me, bracing on his elbows, lifting some of his weight off me.

My mouth fell open. I’d seen his skin turn frosty blue before, but he was huge, his body at least doubled in size.

Snowy white hair stood in stiff spikes around his head.

The tattoos gleamed like darker blue fire in his flesh.

He’d not been a small man, but now he was a giant.

Literally. No wonder the bed creaked beneath the load.

Still panting, he grinned down at me. “My apologies, my queen. Evidently, I shouldn’t have made fun of Gunnarr for shifting into his beast so easily.”

Plops of water dripped on me as the ice began to recede with the heat of our bodies.

Ice giant. Jotunn. Now fully transformed.

Gingerly, he shifted his weight off to the side so I could sit up and examine him further.

His feet hung off the bed, making him at least seven or eight feet tall.

Against the giant, even Dorr looked almost small, especially in his humanoid form.

I dragged my gaze up the never-ending length of Lokken’s body to his face. His eyes were guarded, though as soon as I met his gaze and smiled, the ice thawed there too. “Wow.”

Blood still oozed from my bite on his chest, capturing my attention.

Stirring my hunger. I leaned down and licked the blood trails back to the punctures, locking my mouth over my bite.

His massive hand palmed the back of my head, cradling me close.

His other hand gently stroked my arm and shoulder, first hesitantly, as if waiting to see if I objected.

Then more confidently, tracing each vertebra down my spine.

A soothing, gentle touch that lulled me into a slumberous haze, though I didn’t sleep.

I fed.

I could almost feel each cell in my body blooming with the rich power laden in his blood.

Blood. Not dark alfar essence.

Though as soon as the thought flickered through my head, guilt twinged. I didn’t want Dorr to feel slighted or lesser in any way. I wouldn’t even be alive without him. Jormungandr would have devoured me. I’d never have touched Yggdrasil’s bark or felt the wellspring flood me with power.

I started to lift my head, but a second hand joined Lokken’s, adding weight to keep my mouth pressed to the bite.

:Drink, my queen. There’s no guilt or shame in taking exactly what you most need. You’re not alfar. Of course you need more than what my essence can provide.:

I swallowed again, but the blood was still flavored with guilt. :I’m sorry. Never doubt I need you just as much.:

Inky darkness stretched across the bed as he unfolded from his reclining position at the head of the bed.

I shifted my face so I could watch him glide closer without lifting my mouth from Lokken’s chest. Dorr moved behind me, out of my line of vision.

Then his hands wrapped around my waist, lifting me to my knees.

:I’ll give you what else you need, my queen. As long as you keep feeding. Do we have a bargain?:

I moaned as he covered me with his body. He thrust into me on a slow, endless glide, and I couldn’t help but bite Lokken again. My fangs in his chest. Pressure on my mouth. His flesh gripped in my jaws. His blood hot on my tongue.

:That’s a deal I will never refuse.:

D?RR

This precious light in my darkness must never know a single moment of doubt, shame, or grief. Not as long as I still walked the earth on either side of Yggdrasil.

I was under no illusion. Dark alfar were never meant to be a queen’s Blood.

While my essence hadn’t harmed her, she needed the blood Lokken and now Gunnarr carried to sustain her power, which grew with every swallow.

Not with fanfare. Not burning bright like the sunfires.

But with pure darkness spilled from Hel’s chalice, oozing through every crack and crevice.

Spreading like ink dropped into a pool of water.

I rocked against her, a slow, steady ride to not disturb her feeding.

A glorious torment. She arched her back, lifting into each stroke.

Delicate moans of hunger and pleasure escaped her mouth.

Sounds I never dreamed in a thousand years of sleep.

Urging me to quicken the pace, though I never wanted this to end.

Lokken steadied her head, allowing me to thrust deeper without pushing her across his chest. I held each stroke as deep and long as possible.

Heavier thuds, without quickening the pace.

Giving her more of my weight on her back.

Pressure. My queen loved our strength, so I gave her deep, hard thrusts, drawing more sounds from her throat.

Pleasure crested in her bond, rising like a tidal wave to spill through her body.

Shuddering, she bit him again and again, leaving her marks on his pale chest.

His hand slipped from the back of her head, and I realized he’d faded into oblivion. Yet her hunger still burned like a cold, killing frost. Hunger for hot, fresh, Aima blood.

I reached down her bond to the newest Blood. :Gunnarr, our queen has need of you.:

“Lokken?” Her voice trembled. “Are you alright?”

I heard heavy thuds down the stairs despite the thick, protective door. It crashed against the wall and then the polar bear launched himself onto the bed. The entire mattress quivered but the frame withstood the additional weight. Most impressive.

“Not the bear. Do you want her to only fill her mouth with fur? Lokken’s fine, my queen. He served you well. Now it’s time for Gunnarr to do the same.”

He shifted immediately—much to my regret. Because now he had vocal cords.

“Absolutely, my queen. Use me as you will. Ha, the ice man cometh hard, am I right? Like a blinding blizzard whiteout on a glacier. Knocked his ass out for sure.”

I settled back on my heels, pulling her upright with me.

Gunnarr’s eyes widened, his mouth sagging with awe—thankfully silencing him for a moment.

His gaze flickered down to the other man’s chest with numerous bites.

Back to our queen, taking in the blood and black essence streaking her body.

Then to me, though I doubted he could see her bites all over my obsidian skin.

“Fuck YEAH!” Then he flung himself toward us just as heedlessly as he’d bounded onto the bed.

Her breath oomphed out as he slammed into us, pushing me back further on my heels.

Not that either of us complained while I was still buried inside her.

Gripping her waist, I pulled her down while I swirled my pelvis upward.

She quivered, her head falling back against me.

Climax broke through her bond, her breath catching on another guttural cry of pleasure.

Gunnarr stared, eager but unsure what he might be allowed to do.

“While watching our queen climax is certainly riveting, I guarantee it’s far better when her fangs are buried in you.”
