Chapter 5
David wanted to find the girl and kill her.
He didn’t know what she was to his brother, but since he was hanging around with her, she had to mean something.
He’d not had a good fight with his brother in some time and was looking forward to it.
Rance was a pussy, and he’d not do a thing to him even if he made him watch what he’d do to the girl.
He’d been lying low for some time now. He’d been in trouble with the council and didn’t want to be put into prison for his kind of fun, even if he might have to take them out in the process.
He’d heard a rumor that the new king had taken care that they were no more, but he didn’t believe that at all.
He’d have to be powerful to do something like that, and like Rance, he was more than likely a pussy.
All vampires were pussies as far as he was concerned.
They didn’t use their power for fun like he did.
“What’s the point in being all-powerful if you can’t have some fun with it?
” He’d been saying that for years. And he was all-powerful.
Not as powerful as he’d been a century ago when the council had caught up with him, but he wasn’t going to let a little magic letting get the better of him.
So what if he couldn’t do some of the basics that most vampires did?
He made what he had work so much better.
The magic letting that they’d taken from him was his ability to heal faster than a human.
Now, if he was hurt, he healed just like they did, and it bothered him to no end that he had to wait around for his body to heal when he was powerful in other things.
Like he couldn’t change his clothing at will, but he could steal what he wanted.
One of the things that he hated most of all—well two things that had happened at once, was that his fangs were no longer there for show.
The only time he had them was when he was feeding.
And even then, the wound on this victim would seal on their own.
Of course, he’d end up killing them anyway, but that wasn’t the point.
They took his scary part of him and made it so that he could only show them off when he was hungry.
And that didn’t happen all that often, as he was old as fuck and didn’t need to feed all that often anymore.
David didn’t like things to be taken from him.
He didn’t like it when people had more than him either.
As soon as he killed off the girl that Rance was seeing, he was going to go to the council and tell them he’d been a good boy and that they needed to give him his magic back.
They were stupid as stupid came, and he’d been able to pull shit like this on them before.
They believed anything anyone told them, and he was going to have to work on a story that he’d use to get everything back that they’d taken from him.
That was because of his brother; they’d taken his shit from him, and he should have killed him a long time ago.
He would have too if not for the promise he’d made on his mother’s deathbed.
“Why she cared if he was dead or not should have been my next question to her. She didn’t give me a reason, just made me promise.
” He looked at the mirror in his hallway and decided that he looked good.
Certainly better than Rance did. “Mothers are forever making their children make promises that mean nothing to anyone but themselves. Why do they do that?”
He didn’t have an answer. Nor he’d bet had his mom.
She would spout things off like that when she was dying, which made him realize that he should have worked harder on killing her.
She’d forever bounce back and tell him how disappointed she was in him.
Well, he was disappointed in her, too. Making him make a promise without any sort of reason. And he wanted to kill Rance.
It was nearly midnight when he got back to the house that the woman had been in.
He couldn’t get into the house; there was some sort of magic around it, but he could see inside of it without any trouble.
When it occurred to him that faeries had been in the house, he was pissed off enough to want to get rid of the house.
Setting fire to it was the best thing he’d done in a while. Watching as it burnt to the ground, he was excited as he’d been when he was about to kill someone. Pulling out his cock, he masturbated on the flames until the police arrived. By then, it was too late to save anything.
Watching them fight the fire so it wouldn’t go to the other houses was fun for him.
Had he had himself a victim, he would have killed them while watching the flames.
But he didn’t have time to find anyone, and there were just too many people hanging around the house for him to get someone.
He wished he would have thought of that before he set fire to the house, and he could have really had some fun.
Going back to his lair, all it happened to be was a cave that he’d been renovating to be a house for the last twenty or so years, he laid down on his bed and thought about the house.
Still hard as stone, he decided that it was time that he went to find the woman.
It occurred to him that he might well have killed her in the house when he’d set fire to it.
He didn’t know if there was anyone inside it or not.
“That would be a real shame if I did that.” He’d not felt her presence in the house, but that didn’t mean anything. He’d been so pissed off about the faeries having fun in her home that he just set the thing to fire. “Damn it, I should have thought first.”
But then he remembered that the car wasn’t there and decided that she was still with Rance.
He was going to have to follow him around to find out where he’d take the girl and why, so that he could kill her.
He really had no reason to want her dead, but that he did, and that was enough for him.
And if she meant anything to his brother, he was going to make her suffer in ways that he’d not been able to in a long time.
Lying low had curtailed a lot of his fun, and he was done hiding.
The council could go and fuck themselves for all he cared.
David hated rules. Especially ones he was expected to follow.
The sun was coming up when he had a plan for the woman.
If she was still alive. He couldn’t get it out of his head that he should have checked better on who might be in the house before taking care of it.
Not that he cared about the faeries, but he didn’t want the woman in the house burning up.
He had other plans for her body when he found her that would make a normal person sick.
And he was just the sick bastard who would make people ill for what he would do to her skin.
He was going to flay her alive. Starting at her feet and going up her legs.
And every time she passed out, he would wake her up and start again.
He knew that flaying the skin was painful.
He’d done it to other humans, and they usually didn’t last much longer than their legs getting done.
He was going to make sure that this woman was alive when he got to her breasts.
It was a favorite part of the person that he loved to work on.
Christ, he was getting harder just thinking about it.
But he’d do nothing about it. He wanted to save himself for the girl.
He’d not rape her. No, not that. David thought that sex was a filthy thing to do and couldn’t understand the fascination of sex at all.
He’d rather see himself coming by his own hand rather than to have messy sex with a woman or man and not get to see his cum coming from his cock.
That was the only way to have sex, he knew, and thought that if he ever did have it, it would be with one of his victims that he was killing.
It wasn’t until the hottest part of the day before he made himself rest. He was still young enough that he had to rest during that period or he’d be sick.
He hated it because he would be dead to the world, and anyone could come up on him, but he didn’t have a choice in the matter, as he was a vampire and they had to rest. He wondered if that would be the best time to get to the girl while Rance was resting.
He gave it some serious thought while going to sleep, and he was nearly sick with the need to rest by the time he figured out that’s when he’d kill her.
The sun was just setting when he woke up. He’d not had a restful sleep; he kept thinking about the girl, and for some reason, she was able to get away from him. He was going to have to get her soon and kill her, or he’d never be able to rest. Not rest properly anyway.
Finding her car hadn’t been as difficult as he thought it should have been.
She was at the house that he’d burned to the ground with other people.
He thought about taking her then, but he was fearful of all the witnesses.
They’d be out looking for him and take some of his time away from hurting her.
He didn’t want to be on the run while trying to kill the girl.
He was going to take his time and have fun with her before he finally killed her. It was the way things were done by him.
There were two other women at the site, and he didn’t know which was which.
One of them smelled of a powerful vampire, but he wasn’t going to get close to her so that he could find out if she was with Rance or not.
Not that Rance was all that powerful. His magic would have been pitiful at best. There were men around too, and he couldn’t tell which one was his brother.
It had been far too long since he’d seen him to know which one was him.
He’d just have to wait to see which one of them seemed like a couple.
