Chapter 7 #3

“Not so delicate now,” he breathed as he finger fucked him hard and deep. The goal wasn’t to cause injury, just ensure Rue would feel it in the morning. “You won’t break, no matter how many times you take my cock. Remember how you gave yourself to me?”

Before.

Before, their first and only time together—where they were both conscious—Rue had held Ryker’s face gently between his hands and sworn himself to Ryker. He’d become his that night, even if he wanted to pretend it never happened.

Even if he’d run when Ryker had needed him the most.

All of Ryker’s messages had gone unanswered.

“Were you really that hurt that my brother didn’t want you?” he asked, anger spiking through the drunken haze that had been guiding Ryker up to this point. He shook his head, tried to clear it to no avail. “You left me because of him, isn’t that right? You both left me. Selfish bastards.”

If Rue had merely stood before him and explained, even partially, Ryker would have eaten up the apology, pulled him in close, and reassured him that he was still his.

But Rue hadn’t done that.

Rue had run.

Had left him on read.

Ghosted him.

Like their time together had meant nothing.

Like Ryker meant nothing.

“Will I still be nothing to you when you wake with an ache between these golden thighs and no explanation for it?” Ryker removed his fingers and brought the blunt head of his cock to Rue’s entrance.

“I hate you.” He gave one solid thrust that speared him through the tight, wet heat of Rue’s body, listening to the pained cry that Rue released. “But you’re still mine.”

He’d always be his.

Before, that’d meant one thing.

In the After, it meant another.

“You’ll never be free.” Ryker started fucking him with deep, powerful thrusts that partially shook the bed. “Never be happy. As long as I live, you and I will share this hell together.”

He pumped his hips and growled. Anger—toward himself, toward the unconscious man beneath him—causing his tempo to pick up punishingly. He got off on the idea of revenge. On Rue, waking and aching, struggling to walk and not understanding why.

Ryker’s fingers combed through copper strands, gaze dipping to map the smattering of freckles across Rue’s face, to the constellation of moles that trailed down the right side of his neck.

Once, Ryker had mapped them with his tongue almost reverently, but that was years ago, and now the only thing left between them was animosity.

He fucked him until his mind turned senseless, his emotions burned away, leaving behind a husk of a person who only understood carnal lust and nothing else. Who only cared about chasing his orgasm and being engulfed in the velvety heat of his beloved.

Because in these moments there was no Before or After. There was only Now. A moment where neither of them were themselves, and nothing else mattered but how perfectly they fit together. Like this, Rue’s body did what the man couldn’t bring himself to do while awake.

He clung to Ryker, pulled him in.

Held on tightly.

The temptation to mark him was a gnawing urge that Ryker resisted, only because that would be taking things too far. Because if he made it too obvious, his father would see.

And Ryker wasn’t ready for that yet.

Wasn’t ready to give these moments up.

Wasn’t ready to walk away or call it quits.

Somewhere in the back of his wasted brain, he knew he had to figure out a way to deal with Rhys first. Before making him and Rue public.

Before Rhys could ship the only person Ryker had ever loved off planet.

“You’re heartless,” he growled down at Rue. “So heartless. Look what you’ve done to me. What you’ve reduced me to.”

He reared up and pulled Rue’s cheeks far apart, staring down at where his cock battered his now puffy and bright red hole. Slick sounds filled the room along with their harried breaths, Rue twitching and writhing in his sleep.

Rue didn’t try to get away though. Instead, he clung to his pillow as though for dear life and let Ryker take control.

Almost as though Rue’s subconscious knew he owed him.

“You’ll pay in flesh for the rest of your life,” Ryker darkly promised.

“For every minute wasted. Every moment stolen. You’ll pay for what you owe me,” he grabbed onto his hips and yanked Rue down hard to meet his next thrust, “and I’ll settle the debts that my brother owes you. Whatever they may be.”

As soon as Ryker felt himself get close, he pulled out and flipped Rue onto his back. His hand found his cock and he jerked himself frantically between Rue’s spread thighs, aiming toward the man’s center where his dick was every bit as hard and flushed as Ryker’s was.

Rue’s release wasn’t his problem though. Not anymore.

The orgasm ripped through Ryker, momentarily blinding him. He grunted and shot come across Rue’s balls, his dick, then higher, painting his lower abs, a glob even filling his belly button.

Ryker pumped himself until he had nothing left to give, the energy zapping out of him all at once. He tumbled to the bed, heaving at Rue’s side, eyes catching on the pleasing sight of him painted in Ryker’s arousal.

He’d clean him after. Dress him. Make it seem like he was never here and then go.

After.

After…

Ryker drifted off to sleep before he could finish that thought.
