Chapter 21
CHAPTER 21
A fter our shower, I got Rayna situated back in bed with her iPad, the remote, and snacks to replenish the calories we worked out in the shower. With her droopy eyes, I knew she’d be out in a few minutes.
A text from Patrick came in stating agent Stanley had taken care of Natalie. She was off the property. He needed to speak with me.
I hoped it was good news. The more claim I lay on Rayna, the more I want to start living our lives together. I couldn’t wait to see the world through her eyes.
The guys entered my apartment. It was Chandler and Patrick. Two others from my security team, along with Agent Stanley and his partner.
“Kyler.” Agent Stanley shook my hand. I motioned for everyone to sit.
Agent Stanley gathered a few documents out of a black plastic folder. He laid them out on the table. “We have good intel that Santorini is in Italy.” He handed me a photo. I studied it. It was a grainy shot of a man, round and disheveled like Santorini, with his shirt untucked and his tie askew.
“When was this taken?” I asked.
“Yesterday morning.” Agent Stanley answered. “He’s been hauled up in one of the family homes outside of Rome. Our sources say he’s been there since the raid and has been stripped of his duties with the family and been told to lie low.”
“Who’s taken over his business?” Josh asked.
“We’re not sure.” Agent Stanley shrugged. “The Italians weren’t really into the girls, maybe the Albanians. Regardless, since Santorini is on the outs with his family, I don’t think we have anything to worry about. Rayna’s safe. Natalie has no help over here. She will be charged with human trafficking violations, and the locals will be charging her with prostitution, and a myriad of other sex-related crimes.”
“I thought prostitution was legal in Vegas.”
“It’s not in New York, California, New Jersey, and Arizona. All places Santorini had activity and anymore Natalie might give us before she realizes she’s incriminating herself.” Agent Stanley’s eyes lit up and a grin spread across his face.
“You’re enjoying this.” Chandler smirked.
“I am.” Agent Stanley nodded. “Anyway, I’d like it better if he was in custody somewhere, but we’ll sit on him in Italy until we get our case more solid, than press on Italian police to pick him up and extradite him.”
“Why not just pick him up now?” I asked.
“Long game people.” Agent Stanley gathered his papers. “This was never about Santorini. We put him out of business, two more operations open. But if getting him eliminates Santorini operations in the United States, then it’s a win.
Agent Stanley looked around.
“Where is Rayna anyway?” He stood up. “I’d like to get her official statement down at the office sometime soon.”
“Maybe in a few days.” I stood. “Not now.”
“Okay, well, let me know.” Agent Stanley went over a few more items of what he found and the status of the investigation. He reiterated he thought Rayna was safe, but I didn’t believe him. I didn’t want to admit what Rayna out of danger meant for us.
We needed more time. I shook the thought out of my hand.
“Gentleman.” Agent Stanley headed towards the door with his people in tow. “We’ll speak soon.”
Chandler and Patrick stayed behind.
“Where is Josh?” Chandler asked.
“Paris.” I rubbed my beard. “He’ll be back on Friday.”
“That’s good news about Rayna no longer being in danger.”
I faced Patrick.
“I still want her protected.” I glared.
“Yeah, of course.” Patrick held his hands up. “Whatever you need.” Patrick and his man left.
Chandler remained sitting while I paced back and forth, reading the report Agent Stanley had emailed me. It seems legit; they had Santorini in their crosshairs.
“You know you can’t keep her locked up in this apartment forever?” Chandler stared at me.
“I hadn’t intended to.” I shook my head and went back to my phone.
“It’s tempting though, right?” He stood.
“What?”
“Keeping her here where you know she’s safe, you know no harm could come to her.” He stepped in front of me. “Where she won’t leave you?”
“She’s not going to leave me.” I narrowed my eyes. “Why would she leave?”
“It’s easy to mold a little when she has someone else to lean on.” He placed a hand on my shoulder and squeezed.
“I’m not grooming Rayna.” I shrugged his hand off my shoulder. “Who the fuck do you think I am?”
“I didn’t mean it like that.”
“Once you can get a woman to submit to you who isn’t financially obligated to, then come talk to me.”
“You’re an asshole, Kyler.” He hung his head and headed towards the door. He stopped in the hallway. “Hey Rayna.”
I didn’t hear her voice, but Chandler smiled just the same.
“See you later.” He waved, looked back at me, and then left.
I collapsed onto the couch.
I closed my eyes and groaned. My head rested on the back of the couch.
“Daddy,” Rayna whispered.
I peeked with one eye in her direction.
“Yes.”
“Are you okay?” Her voice grew closer. “Why did Chandler call you an asshole?”
She lowered her voice to mimic my brother. I didn’t bother chastising her for her language. It was hard enough not to laugh.
“Because I am an asshole.”
“No,” Rayna pouted. “My Daddy is not an asshole. And who ever called you an asshole is an asshole.”
“Watch your language, little one.” Now she was taking advantage. I motioned for her to come sit next to me. I kissed the pout off her lips. “It’s okay. I was being a bit of an asshole to Chandler.”
“Oh.” She rested her head on my chest. “Then just apologize.”
“I will.” I held her to me. “How are you? How was your binge fest?”
“It was good.” She crawled into my lap like a toddler. “It was lonely, though. I missed you.”
“I missed you, too.” I rubbed her butt. “I do have some good news.”
“Oh, yeah.” She wiggled in my lap and sat up.
“It looks like the FBI knows where Santorini is, and they don’t think you have anything to worry about. You're safe.” I played with the puff on her head.
She blinked, and her lip quivered. “What do you think?”
“Oh, I’m always going to err on the side of caution with you.” I cupped her cheek. “You are so precious to me, I won’t ‘not’ worry unless you’re locked in this apartment with me forever, but that’s not realistic.”
“Well, yea.” She nodded slowly. “I can’t stay here forever.”
I leaned in and nipped at her neck.
She giggled.
“No, Daddy.” She held on. “That tickles.”
She erupted in a fit of laughter that repaired the slight tear in my heart that appeared at the thought of her leaving me.
I held her to me, waiting for her breath to return to normal.
“But now that we can at least get out of this apartment, what do you want to do?”
“I don’t know.” She sat up. “Well, I’d like to go see Quad IV.”
“You would, huh?” The pink tint on her cheeks made me smile. “And, what do you think is there for a little girl to do in Quad IV?”
“Don’t they have a little area?” She peaked up at me. “Next to the dungeon.”
“Well, it just so happens there is a Daddy/Mommy/Little night coming up in two weeks.”
Her eyes lit up, but then she bit her lip. “There will be other littles there?”
“Yes.”
“Littler than me.” She frowned.
“Littles of all ages. No worries. No one will be mean to you.” I tried to soothe her anxiety about her middle status.
“You won’t leave me, will you?” She grabbed my hand. I wished I could ask the same of her.
“Not for a second.” I kissed the back of her hand and then lifted her and placed her on her feet.
I stood and took her hand.
“How about right now? We go for a swim.” I nuzzled her neck. “And, I’m going to fuck you until you forget your name.”
“Daddy.” She giggled and squirmed out of my arms and took off down the hall. She stopped at the door to my apartment. “Daddy. What do you want to do?”
I signed and caught up to her. I leaned in and kissed her. “I want you to meet my family”
She pulled away, but I didn’t let her get far.
“And, they are going to love you just the way you are.” I scooped her up and tossed her on the bed. She squealed in the manner only little girls know how.
“How do you know?” She scooted to the edge of the bed and swayed her feet back and forth. I grabbed the bathing suit I bought her. It was a back and pink striped pattern with triangles for a top and a full covered bottom with ruffles around the edges.
She lifted her hands above her head.
“Because you're my sweet little girl.” I pulled her t-shirt over her head. “And I told them to like you.”
“Daddy.” She crossed her arms over her over her tits, pushed them up. “You can’t tell people to like me.”
“Well, you’ve met Chandler and Josh and — “
“Josh didn’t want us to be together.” She interrupted.
“No, he wanted me to be careful with you. Chandler too.” I slid her panties down over her hips and slid them down her legs.
“Why, do they think you’re going to corrupt me or something?” She hopped out of bed.
I knelt and helped her step into the bikini bottoms. I pulled them up and over her beautiful ass. I slid my fingers beneath the seam.
Rayna’s throat hitched.
I loved how easy and free she was with her body and dressing her was like a choreographed dance. It turned me on almost as much as stripping her naked. I attached her bikini top and adjusted it. The suit fit Rayna perfectly.
I went back into my closet and changed. I grabbed some towels. When I returned, Rayna twirled in front of the full-length mirror. She giggled at herself. I stood in the doorway and watched. She had not a care in the world. So free and open it scared me. I wouldn’t be enough to keep her curiosity in tack and still protect her.
She didn’t say it, but I knew going back to school was in the back of her mind.
I sent off a message to Randall to do some research on her life in New Jersey. I wanted to know everything. Where did she live? Did she live alone? What type of security did I need to set up for her? Could she finish her last year in Vegas? I needed options to keep her with me and keep her safe. I guess that security report he already ran would come in handy after all.
All of it would work itself out, I had no doubt.
As she caught me staring, she stopped and faced me.
She held out the small ruffles on the suit. “How do I look, Daddy?”
“Perfect.”
“Nothing’s perfect, Daddy.” She placed her hands on her hips and cocked one hip to the side.
“You are, my little Rayn Drop.” I bopped her on the nose. “Perfect for me.”
I wrapped her in my arms and carried her off to the pool. I knew without a doubt she was my perfect little girl, but was I the perfect Daddy for her?
