Chapter Ten
Isy
The sun dipped low in the sky, casting a fiery orange glow over the landscape as I straddled the back of Rebel’s motorcycle. My fingers dug into his leather cut, my heart pounding against my ribcage. The Savage Raptors MC clubhouse loomed ahead, and with it, the promise of meeting the Dixie Reapers. I could feel the anticipation building inside me, spreading like wildfire through every nerve ending. Even though I’d run away from home, I still missed everyone.
I can’t wait.Although, part of me feared my father might have come along with them, and I wasn’t sure what would happen. As much as he’d kept me under lock and key, I worried he’d hate Rebel and possibly cause problems.
As we pulled up to the clubhouse, I saw a group of men gathered. Most were Savage Raptors, but I saw three cuts that said Dixie Reapers across the back. I couldn’t help but let out a squeal of delight the moment I spotted Viking.
“Rebel, stop!” I shouted over the engine noise, practically leaping off the bike before it even came to a complete halt.
“Easy, Isy, don’t go breaking your neck,” Rebel warned, his tone a mix of amusement and concern. But I was already off, rushing toward the group of bikers that held so much meaning for me. Rebel didn’t stop me and from the corner of my eye I saw him talking to his brothers.
“Hey! Viking!” I yelled. Every Reaper turned to face me, their expressions a mix of surprise and curiosity. I grinned, feeling the heat of their gazes on me, and I reveled in it -- the raw, primal energy that coursed through the air like electricity.
“Isy?” Viking came closer. “Didn’t really expect you to just walk right up to us, seeing as how you ran away.”
“Miss me?” I asked, unable to keep the excitement from my words. And yes, I was going to ignore his snarky comment. I didn’t regret coming here and meeting Rebel, and I’d known I missed the Reapers, but until now I hadn’t realized how much I did.
“You look like hell. Is this fucker not taking care of you?” he asked.
“You could have just agreed you miss me.” I wrapped my arms around him in a tight hug. He squeezed me back, lifting me off the ground for a moment before setting me down gently.
“Damn, girl, you’re a sight for sore eyes. Your dad is going apeshit back home. You ever going to call him?”
“Um. Eventually. I did speak with Foster. He assured me he’d tell Dad I was all right. What about you? Anything new?” I asked.
“Just the usual.”
“I’ve got some news to share too, but let’s grab a drink first.”
“Sounds like a plan,” Viking agreed, wrapping an arm around my shoulders and guiding me inside the clubhouse and toward the bar. As we walked, I couldn’t help but feel a little nostalgic. The Prospect behind the bar handed me a soda, and Viking asked for a cold beer.
Viking clinked his bottle against my soda can, his eyes glinting with mischief, and I couldn’t help but grin in response. I’d missed him so much. Out of all the Dixie Reapers, he was probably my favorite. Well, aside from my dad and brother. Cowboy was probably a close second on my favorites list.
“All right, Isy,” Viking said, leaning against the bar and studying me intently. “You’ve got my undivided attention. What’s this news you’re dying to share?”
I hesitated for a moment, weighing the words in my mind, before taking a deep breath and diving in. I held up my hand, the one with the ring on it. “Rebel and I are together. I’m just waiting on my property cut. So I’m officially part of the Savage Raptors now.”
Viking’s expression seemed tense all of a sudden.
“Everything okay?” Isy asked.
He sighed, running a hand through his shaggy blond hair. “Did you stop to think about anyone before you ran off? Your dad and mom have been completely losing it. They had no idea where you were or what happened to you.”
My cheeks went hot. I’d never thought Viking would admonish me. Perhaps some of the other Reapers, but not him. “I’m sorry, but I had my reasons.”
“And now you’re with Rebel?” he asked.
“I am.” I couldn’t help but smile as I said the words.
“I’d say it’s a little fast, but since when do any of us go about things the usual way? I guess you saw him, wanted him, and decided to latch on?”
I shrugged. “Pretty much. I sort of announced I was his girlfriend when we first met.”
Viking shook his head. “Maybe you hung around Ridley too much.”
“Is that all that was bothering you?” I asked.
“Just had a lot on my mind lately. And I guess you settling down, plus Ares and Prophet getting together recently, has made me wonder if it’s time for me to give someone a chance.”
“Really?” Curiosity piqued, I leaned in closer, eager to hear more. “Do tell.”
“It’s not like I have anyone in mind,” he said, refusing to meet my gaze. That told me plenty. There was either someone he wanted, or someone he hadn’t yet let go of. He flashed me a cocky grin. “Now, let’s finish these drinks.”
I raised my glass once more, ready to embrace the night and whatever chaos it might bring. As long as it didn’t include my dad popping up.
The rest of the crew who’d been outside came in and grabbed drinks before finding places to sit. Three went to play pool. With all the noise, I decided to step outside for a minute. The moment I cleared the doorway, my phone started ringing. Casey flashed on the screen.
“Isy! Hey, want to come over for a little impromptu girls’ night?” she asked, her voice warm and inviting.
“Absolutely,” I replied without hesitation. The Dixie Reapers weren’t leaving right away, and I had a feeling once they’d had a few drinks, Atilla might call Church. I didn’t think I’d see Rebel for a while.
“Great! See you soon,” she chirped before ending the call. I sent Rebel a text to let him know where I’d be.
A smile spread across my face as I started walking to Casey’s. When I got there, I saw the front door was already open, spilling warm light onto the porch. As I walked up the steps, a small figure appeared in the doorway, her tiny hands clutching a stuffed toy. It was Casey’s adorable daughter, and my heart instantly melted at the sight of her.
“Hi!” She beamed, bouncing up and down with excitement. “You’re Isy, right? Mommy talks about you all the time!”
“Hey there, sweet pea,” I replied, squatting down to her eye level. “That’s right, I’m Isy. And what’s your name?”
“Becca!” she announced proudly, puffing out her chest. “And this is Mr. Snuggles.”
“Nice to meet you both.” I grinned, tickling Becca under her chin, making her giggle. She was irresistible, her laughter like music to my ears.
“Come on in!” Casey called from inside the house, waving us over.
“Let’s go see your mom, okay, kiddo?” I said, offering Becca my hand. She eagerly took it, leading me inside with a skip in her step.
“Isy! So glad you could make it,” Casey said. “Becca’s just about to head off to bed, but she wanted to say hi first.”
“Hi, Isy!” Becca repeated, her enthusiasm not waning.
“Hi again, Becca.” I chuckled, scooping her up into my arms for a quick hug. “Sweet dreams, okay?”
“Okay!” she agreed before squirming out of my embrace and dashing off toward her bedroom, Mr. Snuggles in tow.
“Thanks for coming over, Isy,” Casey said, sinking down onto the sofa and patting the spot next to her. “I needed some girl time.”
“Same here,” I admitted as I joined her on the couch “It’s been one hell of a night.”
“Tell me about it,” Casey sighed, leaning back against the cushions. “But hey, at least we have each other to lean on, right?”
“Right,” I agreed, grateful for the bond that was forming between us. And as we settled in for a night of laughter, tears, and raw honesty, I couldn’t help but feel like I’d found something precious -- a sisterhood. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the air, mingling with the faint scent of leather from the worn sofa we sat on. Casey handed me a steaming mug. It seemed she’d poured two right before I arrived.
“Thanks,” I muttered, wrapping my hands around the warm ceramic and letting its heat seep into my fingers. We sat in comfortable silence for a moment, sipping our coffee. “Don’t you need to put Becca to bed?”
Casey shook her head. “Maui was still here. He was going to tuck her in, and he probably slipped out the back so he wouldn’t bother us.”
“Sounds like he’s a good dad.”
She nodded and seemed to be deep in thought. We sat in silence for a moment, until she found the right words.
“You know, I was thinking about everything you’ve had going on. But it reminded me of something my dad has said a few times, and I thought I would share it with you. He often says that we can’t control other people’s actions, but we can choose how we react to them. And sometimes all we can do is be there to support each other through the tough times.”
“Sounds like your dad’s a smart man,” I admitted, taking a deep breath. I had a feeling she was referring to my dad and the fact I’d been terrified of how he’d react when he found out where I was and who I was with.
“Most of the time.” Casey chuckled. “Anyway, I just wanted you to know that I’m here for you, Isy. No matter what.”
“Thanks, Casey,” I whispered, touched by her sincerity. “That means a lot to me.”
We continued to chat, trading stories of our lives within the motorcycle clubs -- the good, the bad, and the downright ugly. But beneath it all, there was an undercurrent of excitement, a restless energy that surged through my veins every time I thought about the Dixie Reapers. I wondered if I’d feel that way about the Savage Raptors the more I got to know everyone.
“Is it weird that I’m kind of looking forward to the end of Church?” I blurted out, unable to contain my anticipation any longer. “I mean, I know I should be worried about what’s going on in there, but part of me just wants to get back to the clubhouse and spend more time with them.”
“Girl, it’s not weird at all,” Casey reassured me, a knowing smile playing on her lips. “The Dixie Reapers have this… aura about them. They’re intense, and it’s hard not to get caught up in their energy. And once you get more familiar with this place, you’ll feel the same way about the guys here. By the way, how did you know they were going into Church?”
“I guess you’re right,” I admitted. “And as to the other, it just made sense. They came here for a reason. No point in dragging things out.”
“Have you and Rebel talked about having kids?” she asked.
I froze. Kids. No, we hadn’t, not exactly. There’d been a brief talk about the fact we hadn’t used protection, but we hadn’t exactly had an in-depth discussion about it. What if I was already pregnant? Or worse, what if he wanted kids and I couldn’t have any? I’d essentially trapped him into claiming me. If I couldn’t give him a family and he wanted one, he might come to hate me one day.
“Did I say something wrong?” Casey asked.
“No. Just… if he wants a family and I can’t give him one, what happens?” I asked.
“Then you adopt,” she said. “The guys here won’t care if their children are biologically theirs or not. Take Maui for instance. I was already pregnant with Becca when I came here to find my dad. My high school boyfriend knocked me up and wouldn’t take responsibility. But Maui only sees Becca as his kid, and if anyone says otherwise, they’d better be prepared for a fight.”
“How long have you two been together?” I asked.
“A little over five years. I got pregnant once during that time, but I lost the baby. I was in a hurry and tripped, fell down some stairs, and…” She shrugged. “It devastated me at the time. Ever since, Maui has been terrified if I get pregnant again we could either lose the baby, or I’d end up dying. He said Becca is more than enough for him.”
“But are you okay with that?” I asked.
She pressed her lips together and leaned in closer. “I think I might be pregnant right now. I’m drinking decaf.”
Oh shit. Something told me she hadn’t said a word to anyone else yet. If Maui truly felt that way about having another kid, he was going to lose it. It made me wonder how Rebel would react if I ended up pregnant. Even though we’d talked quite a bit, there was still a lot I didn’t know about him.
“I won’t tell anyone,” I said. “Promise.”
She smiled and gave me a nod. “Thanks. I appreciate it. I’m waiting to make sure I get through the first trimester before I say anything. I don’t want him to get excited only to end up losing another baby.”
I reached out to take her hand. “I may not know Maui very well, but I think he’d like to be there for you regardless of what happens. It’s your call, and I won’t say anything if you don’t want me to. Just consider it?”
“You’re right. I’ll think about it.”
We visited for a while longer before she got a text letting her know Church was over. I decided to walk back to the clubhouse to meet Rebel, then I’d ride home with him.
The moment I stepped outside, I saw Rebel leaning against his bike with his arms folded over his chest. His gaze landed on me and the look in his eyes screamed of possession. A shiver ran down my spine. The way he looked at me made me feel like I was the most important thing in his world.
“There’s my beautiful woman,” he drawled, walking over to me. “You done gossiping?”
“It wasn’t gossip,” I defended weakly.
He wrapped an arm around my waist and tucked a strand of hair behind my ear. “I know, but you did promise me you’d ride home with me.”
He took my hand and led me over to the bike. “In that case, let’s go. I was actually on my way back to the clubhouse. It didn’t occur to me you’d already be here.”
It didn’t take long to reach the house. Before I even had a chance to go into the house, Rebel tossed me over his shoulder. I let out a squeal and gripped his belt to steady myself. The blood rushed to my head, but I had to admit I had a great view of his ass.
“What are you doing?” I asked.
“Thought it was obvious. Missed you.” He smacked my ass. “You’ve had time to socialize. Now I get you to myself the rest of the night… and I plan on using the time wisely.”
Why did I get the feeling he was going to leave me exhausted and begging for sleep?
We cleared the front door, and he kicked it shut before twisting the lock, then carried me to the bedroom. He tossed me onto the bed and stared at me with a hungry gaze. My heart raced in anticipation. I watched as he took off his clothes, tossing them aside, except for the cut he laid on the dresser. Then he reached for me, helping me out of mine as well.
His body came down over mine, pressing me against the mattress, his cock pushing against my pussy. I had a feeling this was going to be a quick and hard ride. But I’d discovered sometimes those were the best. His fingers trailed down my body, exploring every inch of my skin. He traced circles around my nipples, causing them to harden even more.
“You’re so beautiful,” he whispered in my ear before capturing one of my nipples between his teeth. The pain and pleasure mixed together as he sucked gently on it, sending shivers down my spine.
His intense gaze held mine captive as he slowly slid inside me, filling me up completely. My pussy clenched around him as he began to thrust deep into me, claiming what was his. And I was definitely the property of Rebel. I didn’t need a cut to tell me so. He owned every inch of me, his every touch branding his name into my very soul.
His hands roamed over my body, touching every sensitive part of me. He pinched my nipples and ran his tongue along my collarbone, sending waves of pleasure coursing through me. Our hips slapped together as he drove into me with long, deep thrusts, leaving me breathless.
“Tell me you want it.” His voice was low and rough.
“I want you. All of you.” I moaned, arching my back. The feeling of being owned by him was exhilarating, and I craved more of it with every passing moment.
His pace increased until he was pounding into me with a force that left me gasping for air. It felt like heaven and hell wrapped up in one beautiful package -- a hint of pain mixed with indescribable pleasure. I came, calling out his name and trembling under him. Rebel didn’t stop, didn’t so much as slow down. He took me like a man possessed, driving into me until he’d filled me with his cum.
My heart pounded and I stared up at him, knowing he was the only one for me. How could I ever want anyone else?
