Chapter Sixteen
Rebel
My bike roared beneath me, matching the storm brewing inside me. Bull and I pulled up outside the dingy motel. The driver leaned against the car and looked up at the two of us. Viking and Spade pulled in on either side of us, and I knew the second the driver realized he was fucked. The simple fact he hadn’t taken off before we’d gotten this close meant Price hadn’t told him everything. Otherwise the sound of our motorcycles would have tipped him off trouble was coming.
He didn’t bother trying to run. Simply pointed to a door, and I knew Isy was in that room. The air was thick with tension as we killed our engines, the silence swallowing us whole.
“Let’s get her,” Bull said.
“The driver…” I trailed off as Spade and Viking approached him. Looked like Bull and I wouldn’t have to worry about him.
We stalked toward the motel door, our boots thudding against the cracked pavement. As we neared the door, I heard Isy’s muffled sobs from inside the room. My blood boiled, rage threatening to consume me. She didn’t deserve this. No one did, but especially not her.
“Ready?” Bull asked, his voice low and steady. I didn’t know how he could sound so calm. I was ready to destroy everything in sight.
“More than ever,” I replied, my knuckles turning white as I balled my fists.
With a powerful kick, I slammed my boot into the door, sending it flying open. Price’s eyes widened in shock, his surprise evident as he scrambled back from Isy. The fact the fucker had his dick out made me see red.
I lunged at him with every ounce of my pent-up fury. It wasn’t just about saving Isy -- it was about making him pay for all the pain he’d caused. And I wouldn’t rest until I’d seen him suffer. No way would I give him a quick and easy death. A bullet to the brain was too humane for someone like him.
While I grappled with Price, Bull wasted no time. He hurried over to Isy, using a knife to cut off the zip ties around her wrists. The relief and gratitude that washed over her face were evident even through the tears streaming down her cheeks. Her clothes were still in place, so at least he hadn’t gotten far.
“Thank you,” she said softly.
“Stay behind me, sweetheart,” Bull instructed, positioning himself between her and me.
Despite my rage, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of pride at the fact she’d held on this long. She had to have fought hard.
“Didn’t think you had the balls to come after her,” Price said, his sneer only fueling my anger further.
“Shut the fuck up!” I snarled, landing a powerful punch to his jaw that sent him stumbling back. I knew he was trying to make me angry enough I’d end this quickly. I refused to take the bait.
My fist collided again and again with his face, abdomen, and the wound on his side. I hoped like fuck Isy had done that to him! My knuckles ached, but I didn’t give a fuck. All I cared about was beating the hell out of Price and ensuring Isy’s safety.
We grappled, our bodies slamming against the walls, breaking whatever fragile items were left in the room. I could feel the raw strength coursing through my veins, the adrenaline sharpening my senses as we fought like animals. I refused to lose. Even though I knew the others would get Isy to safety, I needed to be the one to end this.
“Rebel, watch out!” Isy screamed.
Her cry jolted me back to reality just in time for me to dodge Price’s attempt to stab me with a hidden knife. The blade narrowly missed my face and ended up embedded in the wall instead. I couldn’t let him get another chance like that.
I grabbed his wrist, twisting it painfully until he let go of the knife.
“Isy, stay close to Bull,” I ordered, my voice strained from exertion. “We’re getting out of here.”
I heard shots fired outside and knew Viking and Spade had put an end to the driver. No way that asshole had gotten the drop on those two.
The air crackled with tension as I drew on every ounce of my fury, channeling it into a single, devastating punch. My fist connected with Price’s jaw, sending the man sprawling to the ground, his face a mixture of shock and pain. I grinned down at him, loving the look of defeat in his eyes. He’d finally realized he wasn’t leaving this place alive.
“Come on, Isy,” Bull urged. “We need to get you somewhere safe.”
“Y-yeah,” she stammered, her voice trembling with emotion.
“Rebel will be fine,” Bull reassured her.
I was thankful she wouldn’t be in the room when I finished Price off. She’d seen enough violence already. Hopefully just knowing the man was dead would bring her some peace.
Once we were alone, I glared down at Price. “Any last words, you piece of shit?”
“Fuck you!”
“Wrong answer.” I landed blow after blow, until I couldn’t even recognize him anymore. The sickening crunch echoed through the room as I shattered his cheekbone.
“Stay down. Then again, feel free to get up. I could beat on you for another hour easily.”
Spade burst into the room, dragging the dead driver along with him.
“No loose ends, brother,” he said gruffly, tossing the limp body next to Price. “Finish that fucker so we can get your woman home where she belongs.”
I took out my knife and crouched beside Price. I sliced off the offending appendage between his thighs, listening to his shrill scream with satisfaction. He’d planned to violate Isy, so this was the least he deserved.
“Let the fucker bleed out. Unless the flames get to him first,” I said.
“Let’s get the hell out of here,” Spade said, scanning the room one last time for anything we might have missed.
Spade’s eyes flashed with grim determination as he grabbed a bottle of lighter fluid from his back pocket. I didn’t know when he’d had the time to grab it and didn’t care.
“Time to burn this place to the ground,” he said, uncapping the bottle of lighter fluid.
I knew it wouldn’t take much. “Shit, Spade,” I muttered, watching as the VP prepared to set the room on fire.
“Stay close,” Spade warned, flicking open his lighter and igniting a strip off an old sheet he’d found. He tossed it on the floor near Price and the driver. Flames danced around the room, licking up the walls and consuming everything in their path. The heat was oppressive.
Price screamed and flailed wildly, but the fucker couldn’t escape the flames. With one last look at the man who’d dared to hurt my woman, I turned and walked out.
I saw her in the parking lot with Bull and Viking, cuddled between them near the bikes. I got on my motorcycle and motioned for her to come over.
“Get on the bike, Isy. It’s time to get the hell out of here.” She didn’t hesitate, wrapping her arms tightly around my waist.
We sped away from the burning building and toward home. Once we were a mile away, I pulled over for a moment. I needed to hold her, reassure myself she was okay.
“Thank you,” she whispered into my ear, her breath hot against my skin. “I don’t know what I would have done without you.”
“Never doubt that I’ll come for you, Isy. If you’re ever in trouble, I’ll be there to take you home. You’re mine, and I’ll do whatever it takes to keep you safe. I may have failed this time, but I won’t do it again.”
“You didn’t fail me,” she said, kissing me softly. “Someone you trusted betrayed you. There’s a difference.”
I knew she was right, but it was still a hard pill to swallow. Raven had gotten the upper hand and caused this mess. I glanced back at the direction we’d just come from. Smoke drifted into the sky. Relief filled me as I realized it was finally over. Price wouldn’t come for her again.
As we continued down the highway, I couldn’t help but feel the weight of responsibility settling on my shoulders. It wasn’t just about keeping Isy safe anymore. It was about starting a life with her, hopefully having a family together.
Nearly an hour later, we pulled through the gates of the compound. I didn’t even stop at the clubhouse, even though I saw people standing around, waiting to welcome Isy back home. I went straight to our house, needing to wash off Price’s blood and get the filth of his touch off Isy.
“Rebel?” Isy whispered, her breath hot against my neck.
“Yeah?”
“Thank you for saving me.”
“Like I said before, baby, I’d do it again in a heartbeat.” And I meant it. “Let’s go inside and get cleaned up. I think we could both use a shower right now.”
We entered the house, and I locked the door, not wanting anyone to disturb us. I led her to the bedroom, then into the bathroom. While the water warmed, I stripped out of my clothes and helped Isy undress. We stepped under the hot spray, and I felt like I could finally breathe easily again. She was home, where she belonged.
She cuddled against my chest, and I held her close. Her body trembled, and I realized she was crying softly. My heart ached, knowing she must have been terrified I wouldn’t get to her in time. I’d have to find out which brother had cameras installed at his house and ask if he’d set some up here too. Hell, every house needed some.
I never wanted to be this afraid again. Never wanted to experience the fear of not knowing where she was or if she was safe.
“I love you, Isy,” I said.
She looked up at me and gave me the sweetest smile. “I love you, too. So much.”
I couldn’t hold back. I needed to taste her. Leaning down, I pressed my lips to hers, tasting the sweetness that was uniquely Isy’s. Despite the bruises she’d sustained, and her wrists, she clung to me. I’d had no intention of touching her like this, not until I’d gotten her treated. But right now, it felt like something primitive had taken control of me.
My hands roamed over her body, tracing every curve and dip of her womanly figure. I slid one hand over her ass cheek and squeezed gently before easing it down over the softness of her thighs.
Without breaking our kiss, I pushed her back against the tiled wall. She gasped softly into my mouth as I brushed my fingers over her pussy.
“Fuck,” I muttered against her lips.
“Please,” she whispered breathlessly as I teased her nipple with my other hand.
I pulled away from our kiss to look into those gorgeous eyes of hers again. They were filled with desire as she stared up at me.
She licked her lips as she took me all in, leaning forward slightly as if wanting more contact between us right now.
“You’re so beautiful,” I whispered.
She moaned and arched her back, offering me more access to her breasts. I took hold of both nipples, pinching them hard before rubbing my thumbs over them in circles.
“I want you,” she panted, grabbing onto my arms for support.
“I know just what you need,” I said, slipping one hand down to cup her pussy again. Her body trembled in response as my fingers found their way inside her slick heat. My thumb lightly brushed over her clit, making her shudder.
She let out a gasp and writhed against me, pushing herself farther onto my hand. “Please, Cam. I need you inside me.”
Without another word, I eased my hand from her pussy, only to thrust two fingers inside her. Her moans grew louder with each passing moment, signaling how close she was to reaching climax already.
She buried her head into my shoulder and bit down on it lightly just as an orgasm ripped through her body -- not once but twice within seconds of each other! The walls of her pussy clenched around my fingers while she cried out in ecstasy.
I spun her to face the wall and lifted her up onto her toes before bending her over a little. Gripping her hip with one hand, I lined up my cock with her pussy and sank into her. Once she’d taken all of me, I held her tight as I pounded into her. I knew it was going to be over quick. I’d have to make it up to her next time.
With a groan, I came inside her. Pressing my head to her shoulder, I wrapped my arms around her and held her close.
“Don’t ever scare me like this again, Isy. I don’t think my heart can take it.”
“I can’t promise that. It was out of my control,” she said.
I sighed and pulled out, then turned her to face me. Cupping her cheek, I kissed her softly. “I know. We’ll do better, make sure you’re safe. You and all the other women here. You’re my everything, Isy. I can’t live without you.”
“I feel the same, Cam.”
I hugged her tighter and lifted her into my arms, carrying her out of the bathroom. Crawling into bed together, not caring if the sheets got wet, I promised myself I’d spend the rest of the night showing her what she meant to me. We’d gotten a second chance, and I wasn’t going to blow it. I could have lost her. There was a possibility I’d have never found her, and I knew I wouldn’t have wanted to live another second without her in my life.
Isy was my miracle, and I wanted to be hers as well.
