Chapter 8 Forced Marriage Confession

I got off the carriage and saw Zhao Yan standing not far away.

He stood with hands behind his back, his voice deep.

"Chu Bingzhi, did you not say today that you wanted to borrow This Prince's seal?"

I nodded quickly.

This injury was worth it; he brought it up himself.

He glanced at me.

"You leave at the end of the month."

I was stunned. "What?"

He came to make me leave early.

He was silent for a moment, then lightly glanced at me.

"Chu Bingzhi, This Prince will find you a wife."

"The seventeenth of this month is a good day. Marry her, then take her and leave, far from Chang'an."

I was already injured, and hearing this nearly made me faint on the spot.

"Must I marry?"

He nodded calmly.

"Yes."

"You must marry."

"Why?"

He did not speak for a long time. I watched him silently.

After a while, he approached me.

He walked forward until he stood right in front of me, forcing me to step back twice. When my waist nearly hit the carriage wall, he placed his hand behind it to cushion the impact, but his hand remained there.

He leaned close to my ear and whispered.

"Chu Bingzhi, you are so clever. You figured it out long ago."

"Did you not?"

"This Prince likes you. This Prince never wanted to marry Zhang Ruhua."

"How ridiculous, the crown prince falling for a man."

I was shocked.

I did not expect him to say it outright.

His voice was hoarse. "Today, facing the arrow, This Prince chose you over Zhang Ruhua. In the future, faced with the same, This Prince would still do so."

The night wind howled, his words ringing sharply in my ears.

My heart pounded wildly.

In my previous life, within half a year of marriage, he fell for Zhang Ruhua, showing he did not like me that much.

Now, knowing I was a man, why would he still...

"So, you must marry."
