Chapter 10 Vengeance Unleashed
I pried open Wei Chuan's mouth and poured the entire packet of medicine down his throat.
"Eat it. Eat more."
"This is a rare divine medicine that makes men vigorous and wild, craving life and death until they're drained and gone."
"Wei Chuan, see how good I am to you? I chose this death for you."
Wei Chuan, having swallowed the powder, glared with bulging eyes, struggling desperately to run away.
But it was too late.
Intense desire made his eyes bloodshot, as if bleeding.
I ordered the Zhuyun Guard to cut the ropes on him, then threw the bound Qi Wanwan to him.
"No... don't, Wei Chuan!"
Qi Wanwan tried to wake Wei Chuan's senses, but he was already controlled by desire, turned into a beast that only knew release.
Shrill screams kept coming until the sun set low, and the room fell silent.
Wei Chuan died.
In the extreme madness, Wei Chuan lost control and snapped Qi Wanwan's neck.
I looked coldly at the two corpses, unfinished hatred swirling in my heart.
If not to avoid complications, I would have captured them for proper torment, but letting them die so quickly wasn't satisfying enough.
The Zhuyun Guard asked what to do next.
I smiled and raised a brow. "Throw them in the river, of course. Tie stones to them so they never float up, doomed forever."
The plot between Qi Wanwan and Wei Chuan was secret; few knew.
Who would suspect I killed Wei Chuan?
After all, I had never "met" him.
I stood by the river, watching the two corpses tied to large stones sink into the water until they vanished.
The shadow over my heart finally cleared a bit.
