Chapter 11 #2

I had to ignore the fact that the alpha shit was what turned me on.

So I stood there in the living room for about two minutes wondering if I should nut up or let it go.

Shit, he lowkey gave me no choice but to let it go for tonight.

Also, he gave me no reason to distrust him or question what he said, so why would I allow the words of another to send me off the edge?

As if I had just given myself a lecture, I nodded and followed him.

When I reached the back, he was sitting at the end of his bed shirtless with his face in his hands.

I walked over and stood in front of him, resting my hand on his head.

“I’m not gonna nut up, if that’s what you’re worried about,” I joked.

He looked up at me with a grin. “I wasn’t worried about that. I already knew that you were about to get in this bed and go the fuck to sleep.”

I laughed. “Just like that?”

He wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me into his lap. “I love you enough to look over yo’ shit.” He made it seem like I had issues.

I laughed before I caught what he said. He said he loved me. “You love me?” I questioned.

He tucked his bottom lip beneath his teeth, and he nodded his head. “What? You’on love me back?”

“I love you too,” I found myself uttering after I studied him for long enough. For me, it was this moment right here. It was the exact moment when nothing else mattered but the located love.

TAURUS

I glared in Lane’s direction, and I shook my head. She had been in her feelings since she saw her pops at the restaurant with old girl. His old creep ass didn’t even have the decency to hide what the fuck he was doing.

“You know I’ll go beat his old ass for you,” I offered like I had done at least five times already. She just didn’t know she already had me ready to beat his ass because of all the pouting that she’d been doing lately.

“Then I’ll have to defend you because he’d press charges.

” She never looked in my direction. She was too busy pouting out of the window.

We were picking up the dinner that she ordered from some little restaurant on Lake for Regancy’s birthday and taking it to Savior’s crib.

Lane wouldn’t let this birthday dinner shit go, no matter what went down.

“I ain’t scared of no fucking charges. I’ve had them pressed on me before, and they didn’t stick then.” I shrugged my shoulders.

She laughed. “Do you think that female was the sister my mother told me about?”

“Nah, baby. Shorty looked more like a sugar baby or one of those thangs off California. Plus, ain’t no nigga sitting down in the cut with their kid. Baby, that shit looked intimate.”

She nodded. “Something has to be wrong with my eyes, because they keep trying to see the best in—”

“Ain’t nothing wrong with your eyes. It’s just in your heart, and ain’t nothing wrong with that.

” I corrected her. Where she saw it as a flaw, I saw her ability to see the best in people a gift.

She would try to see the best in anybody, and the moment they showed her their worst, I’d be right behind her to correct it.

I was willing to beat the good into a motherfucker behind that one.

I felt her eyes on me after I said that. “You’re right. I jus—”

“People ain’t shit, baby, and they don’t deserve you. As long as you know that, then you’ll be fine.” I shifted the car into park before looking over at her.

“But you deserve me.” She smiled with her corny ass.

“Corny ass.” I hopped out of the car and walked around her side.

“How was that corny? I said what I said,” she said the moment I opened her door for her to get out.

I laughed. “Bring yo’ ass. We could’ve gotten fucking pizza and called it a pizza party, but yo’ ass wanna get Greek potatoes and shit, knowing good and damn well yeen gonna eat shit but the chicken. Is that Greek too?”

She laughed like I cracked a joke, but I didn’t. I was dead serious, and she knew it. “Now that you mention it, yes, the chicken is also Greek.”

I chuckled and opened the door for her weird ass.

Once she walked in, I walked in behind her.

We were at this Greek restaurant that from the outside looked like nothing special.

Inside, it was nice though. Too bad I couldn’t pay too much attention to it because my attention was on her and the way her work slacks were being devoured by her ass.

Biting my bottom lip, I nodded my head in appreciation.

I talked shit to Savior about trapping Regancy, but I was damn sure on the move to do exactly that to Lane.

I could see her carrying my fifth son now.

“Did you hear me, Taurus?” Her voice cut through my thoughts.

“Nah. I didn’t. What did you say?” I questioned.

“Never mind. Do you think we—”

“Lane, is that you?”

When I turned around to see who was talking to Lane, I smirked.

This must’ve been her sweet ass ex. She had to know this nigga had something going on just by the way he looked.

My eyes immediately went to Lane. She stood at the counter now looking back at the cashier.

Baby was acting like she hadn’t even heard him say her name.

I crossed my arms across my chest and watched old boy shake his head before calling out to her again.

“Lane, you’ve blocked me and even had me barred from your building. The least you could do is hear me out.”

By this time, I was cracking up laughing. There was no way she thought this nigga liked pussy at any point in their relationship. I bet this nigga liked to be the small spoon and all.

“You owe me that much.” He put bass in his voice that time.

“Nah, she doesn’t owe you shit, lil’ homie.” I tilted my head to the side, wondering if he’d take that same tone that he gave her with me.

When he looked at me, his response was almost comical. “I don’t believe I was talking to you.” He popped his long ass neck and all.

“Taurus, babe, let’s go. We don’t have time for this. I still wanna go change before dinner.” Her voice was the same as when we walked in here. She ignored the fuck out of this nigga’s presence.

I nodded, deciding to not respond to old boy. As much as I would’ve loved to put my hands on him for trying to take some fake ass authoritative tone, I decide against it. Instead, I walked over and grabbed the trays of food that she had ordered.

Once I put everything in the back seat, I walked around and hopped into the driver’s seat. I glanced over in her direction, and she had a smirk on her face while she shook her head from side to side.

“I really think—”

“That yeen know what you were doing before you met me?”

She laughed. “Don’t be big headed.”

“I definitely am already big headed and for good reason, but nah, baby, you can’t tell me that yeen know that man liked men.” I turned the car on and shifted to reverse.

She shook her head. “No, I really didn’t see it until—”

“You ignored that shit. It’s cool. You made the right decision.” I winked at her, then focused on the rearview mirror to make sure there wasn’t anyone behind me.

She pursed her lips. “As if I had a choice. You know you can be very—”

“And if you had a choice, it still would’ve been me because, baby, I’m the best thing since sliced bread.”

She busted up laughing, and I cut my eyes in her direction. Lane was right about one thing; she didn’t have a choice but to choose me. I had already made my mind up enough for both of us. She was fucking stuck with me, and that was on Mary and the baby she had in that barn.

SAVIOR

This shit right here was making me a sap ass nigga.

It was almost like I couldn’t get a grip on what I was feeling for Regancy.

I had already fucked around and told her that I loved her, even though I didn’t plan to.

I mean, I knew what I was feeling, and I had known for a minute now, but that didn’t mean I was ready to tell her.

Then here I was, watching her as she got dressed for this dinner thing that Lane had put together for her.

She was simply fucking beautiful, and that alone made me want to stay in her space.

The thing was her beauty wasn’t only physical or outside.

It was her vibration, her aura, and all that spiritual shit.

“Why are you staring, creep?” she asked.

I chuckled. “I was wondering if my child would inherit that big ass forehead you got.”

She shook her head. “You could have said some sweet shit like ‘baby, you look good’. But nah, you had to come for my head when your shit damn sure isn’t small. I bet you were one of those kids they prayed would grow into their head.”

“Fuck outta here.” I stood from my bed and walked over, standing behind her in the mirror. “You wanna say that to my face?”

She smiled and tilted her face up toward mine. “I said—”

I grabbed her neck and pulled her as close as I could before I mashed my lips into hers.

“You wanna be a problem, but yeen even like that, baby.” Then I pecked her big ass forehead before walking toward my closet.

I grabbed what I bought her and made my way back into the room.

I set the bag on the bed next to her and stood back.

“I thought I said no gifts.” She stood up and walked toward the mirror to put on her earrings.

I took a seat next to the bag and watched her with a grin on my face. “I thought I told yo’ ass this was my money, so I’d spend it however the fuck I wanted to.”

The mug she gave me was comical, but I didn’t give a fuck. She was forever thinking about everyone but herself, so it was my job to think about her or probably just make her think about herself.

“Now come open these fucking gifts, we ain’t got all day.”

Without another word, she turned around and walked in my direction with a small smile on her face. I liked to see them there, but I loved to be the reason she had them. See what I mean? Regancy was turning a nigga into a straight-up sap.
