THE EMPEROR OF THE VOID
The battlefield froze.
Even the endless stream of Void creatures slowed their advance.
The words echoed in everyone’s minds.
“Our emperor arrives.”
Lucian slowly looked toward the gate.
“…You’ve got to be kidding me.”
Rowan’s ears flattened against his head.
“There’s a bigger boss?”
The dragon shifted uneasily, its massive wings rustling against the smoky sky.
Even the Dark Alpha stepped back half a step.
Something enormous was approaching inside the gate.
The shadow behind the swirling darkness grew larger.
And larger.
Aria felt the Primordial power inside her surge violently.
Not with excitement.
With warning.
Danger.
Her silver eyes locked on the portal.
“Everyone move back.”
The Alpha King didn’t argue.
“Fall back!”
The werewolf warriors retreated several steps, forming a defensive line around Aria.
But the Void Lord didn’t move.
It stood proudly before the gate like a servant awaiting the arrival of its ruler.
The ground trembled again.
A massive claw slowly appeared through the swirling darkness.
But this claw was different from the others.
It was enormous.
Covered in dark armor-like scales that shimmered with strange purple light.
Rowan blinked.
“…That claw alone is bigger than me.”
Lucian didn’t respond.
His eyes were locked on the gate.
Another claw followed.
Then the massive creature slowly began forcing its way into their world.
The portal stretched wider under its size.
The dragon roared loudly in challenge.
But the sound almost felt… small.
Compared to what was emerging.
A gigantic horned head finally pushed through the gate.
Its eyes burned with deep violet flames.
Unlike the white-eyed Void creatures, these eyes carried something else.
Intelligence.
Authority.
Power.
Lucian’s voice dropped.
“…That’s their emperor.”
The creature forced more of its massive body through the gate.
Its enormous wings unfolded slowly, stretching across the sky.
Each wing was nearly as large as the dragon itself.
Rowan whispered,
“…We’re dead.”
The Void Lord bowed deeply as the colossal being stepped onto the battlefield.
“My Emperor.”
The creature’s feet touched the ground.
The entire forest shook.
Trees cracked and fell under the pressure of its arrival.
The Void Emperor slowly straightened.
Its towering form rose above everything on the battlefield.
Above the dragon.
Above the Dark Alpha.
Above the warriors.
Its violet eyes scanned the world around it.
The burning forest.
The fighting warriors.
The armies of Void creatures.
Then finally—
It looked at Aria.
The moment its gaze landed on her—
The Primordial power inside her exploded outward.
Silver energy burst around her body like a storm.
The Void Emperor tilted its head slightly.
“…Interesting.”
Its voice was deeper than thunder.
Lucian grimaced.
“Why do all the ancient monsters find her interesting?”
The Void Emperor took one slow step forward.
The ground cracked beneath its foot.
“You carry the scent of the First Wolf.”
Aria stepped forward too.
Her silver power burned brighter.
“Yes.”
The Void Emperor studied her carefully.
“For centuries your kind kept our world sealed away.”
Its voice grew colder.
“But now the gate is open.”
It raised one massive claw toward the sky.
“Tonight the Void takes this world.”
Behind it—
Thousands of Void creatures roared together.
The sound filled the mountains like a rising storm.
Lucian stepped beside Aria.
Rowan moved to her other side.
The Alpha King stood directly in front of her.
The dragon lowered its massive head.
The Dark Alpha crouched beside them.
For the first time—
Both armies stood fully revealed.
The Void Emperor looked down at them all.
Then it smiled.
A slow, terrifying expression.
“You will fight.”
Its violet eyes burned brighter.
“But this world…”
“…already belongs to us.”
