Chapter 1 Asking for His WeChat
I fell for the handsome son of the Fried Skewers shop owner.
I went there to eat every day but never dared ask for his WeChat.
My best friend teased me for being too timid, so I learned a trick online.
While eating, I pretended to look pained.
The handsome guy was urged by his dad to come ask what was wrong.
I clutched my chest. "It's nothing. My heart just hurts."
The handsome guy looked grave.
The next second I said without blushing: "If I had your WeChat, it wouldn't hurt anymore."
Everyone in the shop fell silent.
The atmosphere turned terrifyingly quiet.
Even the handsome guy stayed silent.
"Um, I was just saying it casually—"
"Hahaha."
Laughter erupted from the group right after.
"How many is this this month? Boss, your son sure has good fortune with the ladies."
"Who wouldn't? If I were that handsome, I'd have girls chasing me too."
"Boss, this girl seems nice. She eats here every day. Why not let them get to know each other?"
"Young people's business—I can't meddle. See what my son thinks." The owner came out from the kitchen, smiling at everyone.
I was so embarrassed I wished I could dig a hole and hide.
Lu Xuchen glanced at me and said coldly: "I don't add strangers."
The man at the next table complained: "Always like this. You break too many girls' hearts. Who knows how many you've rejected."
The owner said helplessly: "Can't be helped. This kid has someone he likes, waiting for her to realize."
Everyone understood and stopped talking. They just ate.
I held back my tears, finished my meal, and walked out.
I messaged my Master: Master, he rejected me.
