Chapter 16 The Girl I Like
The girls surrounding him heard those words.
They all turned to look at me.
They seemed curious about my relationship with Lu Xuchen.
Lu Xuchen turned his head to them and said, "The person I've been waiting for has arrived. It's her, the girl I like."
Hearing this, the girls left regretfully.
I walked to Lu Xuchen's side.
I asked, "Do you have anything else you want to do next?"
Seeing my calm expression, Lu Xuchen grabbed my hand.

Before he finished, his eyes landed on my face.

He said he liked anything I gave.
But I still wanted to give him the best.
I led Lu Xuchen to the movie room I had reserved.
The host had been waiting and asked the staff to bring out the birthday cake.

After I spoke, all the lights in the room went dark.
Then the star lights on the walls lit up one by one.
"Happy birthday~"
The staff came over one by one.
They sang the birthday song together in unison.

I shook his hand.

I stood on tiptoes and turned his chin.
I made Lu Xuchen look straight at me.
"Hey, the handsome guy looks good even when crying."
An hour later, the birthday celebration for Lu Xuchen ended.
The room lights turned bright again.
The birthday cake was eaten messily by us.
We sat side by side on the sofa.
Lu Xuchen shook my hand.
He suddenly asked, "Hey, why do you like me? My temper is bad, I'm unreasonable, and I have tons of flaws."
"I'm not with you for your temper. Mainly because your Fried Skewers taste amazing. I love them, and you're handsome. I can't be without you anymore."
"Just that?"
Lu Xuchen looked at me helplessly.
I thought about it and added, "Also, I want to be the Boss Lady in your store. Then I can eat Fried Skewers every day. Hehe."
"Foodie." Lu Xuchen muttered.
I was unconvinced. I asked him, "Then what do you like about me?"
"Everything."
"Tch, I don't believe it."
"Really." Lu Xuchen stared at me. He said each word clearly, "At first when you came to my dad's store for Fried Skewers, you stared at me constantly. It annoyed me so I played games to distract myself.
"Coincidentally I saw you in the game public screen looking for a Master. I was bored and decided to try. I didn't know it was you then. Who knew your skills were so bad I couldn't leave you alone."
"Haha, yeah they were bad." I laughed dryly.

Lu Xuchen said this very seriously.
I felt helpless. "What indestructible cockroach? That's not how you compliment someone."
"Anyway it's a compliment." Lu Xuchen stubbornly held his ground and coughed lightly. "That's how I liked you."
My ears heated up as I listened.

I could accept it.
When I looked up at Lu Xuchen, his face was even redder than mine.
I teased him on purpose. "Wow, so your face can get this red too."

Lu Xuchen avoided my eyes.
I wouldn't allow it. I leaned closer and lifted his chin.

I kissed his cheek.

I was feeling smug when suddenly everything went dark in front of me.
Lu Xuchen leaned down close and kissed my lips heavily.
It lasted several seconds.
