10. Meeting the Parents

Chapter ten

Meeting the Parents

I remember thinking that there was no better way to wake up in the morning than to be smothered by kisses. I was wrong. Oh so very, very wrong. Before, Derek would plant a few kisses, his hands roving hesitantly along my body. He would stop there, not willing to go any further. Last night changed all that it seems.

“Good morning, baby,” Derek said, kissing my lips and my neck, making his way down south.

“Morning, handsome.” I ran my fingers through the soft tresses of his hair as he kissed my chest and moved down to my stomach, each kiss leaving a trail of fire in their wake. It’s safe to say that if I was still sleepy before, that feeling is long gone.

“Although I will say that I’m ruggedly handsome, I think you can do better than that.”

“Yes sir, I’ll get right on that.”

“My, someone’s getting sassy. And so early in the morning, too. Better be careful, or else I’ll keep my kisses for myself.”

“We both know you’re bluffing.” At least, I hoped he was. I had quickly gotten used to the affectionate early morning greeting and didn’t want to lose it.

“Yeah, you’re right. I can’t resist kissing you first thing, you’re too cute.” He punctuated this by kissing me again. My hands roved over his burly frame, seemingly to possess a kind of their own. I was truly thankful that Derek slept naked, cause his whole body was on full display. Especially his morning wood.

“Don’t start something you can’t finish,” he said with a growl, kissing the column of my neck and inhaling deeply. An animalistic part of me relished the feeling, my pulse jumping quickly. The jugular was a vulnerable part of the body, and Derek’s kissing that spot sent both fear and desire coursing through me, intoxicating.

“I didn’t start anything. You’re the one who woke me up all of a sudden. I was having such a nice dream, too.“ That was a lie. I was having a horrible nightmare, the thoughts of my parents and where are they now plaguing my mind unbidden. It’s like my mind manifested all the worry I tried to banish for the past week.

“Oh please, you love my kisses. Can’t get enough of them.” He ticked me into his side, rubbing my back in soothing strokes. “You’re shaking.”

“I’m sorry,” I say immediately.

“You have nothing to be sorry for. I would be nervous too. But don’t worry, I’m sure they’ll love you. They’re dying to meet you.”

Today was the day that Derek’s family was coming to dinner. His parents were coming in from Florida, as well as his brothers from the city. It was safe to say that I was panicking on the inside. Derek began to pull my shorts down, barring my own morning wood to the chill morning air.

“What do you think you’re doing?”

“Trying to distract you. Is it working?”

“No...” Maybe just a little, but I wasn’t about to tell him that. He’s already cocky enough as it is. He snorted, taking my cock and his hand and giving it a squeeze. It was rock hard.

“Liar.” And then he did the unexpected. He opened his mouth and licked the tip of my cock. I cried out in shock.

“What are you doing?” I tried to push his head away but he was having none of it.

“Relax, I know what I’m doing,” he said with a wink, before taking me fully into his mouth. My back arched upwards, but his burly hand pushed me back down. “I said relax.”

“Don’t you have to pick up your parents?” My brain was saying one thing, but my body? Entirely different story. It seemed to enjoy the new sensation and I found myself rocking my hips, pumping myself into his mouth. He sucked the tip, removing his mouth with a wet popping sound. He gave me a heated gaze.

“I don’t have to pick them up till this afternoon. Now hush, before I give your mouth something to be occupied with,” he said, hefting his own cock. It seemed that Derek was a shower and a grower. I locked my lips, curiosity taking over my brain.

“That doesn’t sound too bad, actually.”

“You’re not just saying that, are you?” His emerald eyes were laser-focused on my own, a light that I associated with lust making his eyes shimmer and darken. I shake my head.

“I’m serious, I want to try. Unless you don’t want me to?” His lips were pressed against mine in an instant.

“Don’t even joke about that. Any self-respecting Alpha would never turn down a blowjob from an Omega.” His eyes lowered. “Especially from an Omega with such beautiful lips. I can’t wait to see them wrapped around my cock.”

Sweet Derek was loving, a big teddy bear that seemed like they would never hurt a fly. I started to call this demanding and confident side of him Alpha Derek. And let me just say that Alpha Derek was Hot. Sweet Derek never failed to make my heart flutter, but Alpha Derek always seemed to make me wet near instantly.

“Too bad that we have to take turns blowing each other...” He just gave me a black look before giving a dark chuckle.

“Oh, my sweet, naive little Omega. I forget that there’s a lot you haven’t tried yet. Allow me to introduce you to a move called The 69.”

“69? I don’t get it.”

“Trust me, you will.” He laid down on his back and beckoned me with his hands. “Bring your sexy ass here.” Again, Hot. Sexy. A proverbial panty-wetter. An erection inducer.

A good hour later, I felt better despite feeling more tired than when I woke up. I was still nervous, but not as much as I had been before. Derek was good on his word, and our little morning delight was a nice distraction.

“Ugh, time truly flies when you’re having fun. I gotta go pick up my parents from the airport so I’ll be gone for a while. I told my brothers don’t bother knocking if they don’t see my truck here. Don’t want you to deal with those knuckleheads alone.”

“Aw, that’s kinda sweet.” And maybe a little territorial. Derek told me he and his brothers were all Alphas, like their father. Even though his brothers had partners of their own, he still wanted to be here just in case. I was still technically an unmatched Omega.

Derek quickly dressed and kissed me goodbye before heading out to pick up his parents. They were flying into JFK, so he would be gone for a solid five hours, possibly more, depending on traffic.

Left to my own devices, I made a quick breakfast and wondered what to do next. Since there wasn’t anything on TV that I wanted to watch, I did one of the things I do when feeling restless: I cleaned.

Don’t get me wrong, although the classes held at OPS facilities touched on maintaining a home with your Alpha, they knew that many people are different and don’t really enforce it. I’ve always liked cleaning, the analytical part of my brain enjoying putting things in an orderly fashion.

I’m not OCD. I just have OCD tendencies.

The house wasn’t really dirty, so it only took me an hour to go through it, a record time considering its size. Having nothing else to do, I headed up to the solarium, where the bookshelves were still being built, with books temporarily stacked in a corner.

I trailed a finger down the many spines, debating which book I wanted to start next. I decided to go with a fantasy novel that had a main LGBTQ character but didn’t make it the main focus of the story. I picked up the book on the cover alone cause it caught my interest. The fact that the main guy was gay was just a bonus.

I settled down on the cushioned benches by the window and began to read, making a quick mental note that some sort of day bed or couch would be a great addition to the room. I’ll bring it up to Derek later.

I had just reached the part of the story where the main character (MC) had just met a potential love interest, an alien on a newly discovered planet (kinky, I know) when I received a text from Derek saying that they were thirty minutes away. I texted him back to let him know that I saw his message.

When he asked if I was ready, I was about to reply, ‘Of course I am’ when I looked down and saw that I was still in my pajamas. Oops. I quickly ran downstairs and immediately went to the closet. I was glad that OPS gave me some nice clothes before I left because all of my other clothes seemed bland. Basic. Perusing all of the options I had I decided to go with a white button-down shirt, black little pineapples decorating the fabric. Black cargo pants and white shoes completed the ensemble.

Too late, I realized that my current outfit was almost the exact copy of the outfit I picked out when meeting Derek for the first time. Fuck it, there was no time to change. Besides, I thought I looked pretty good. After sending a text that I was indeed ready this time, I headed downstairs and did one last sweep of the house to make sure everything was in place.

In hindsight, I probably should have made some sandwiches or something. It was still pretty early in the afternoon, but hopefully, they’ll be okay. The sound of the door unlocking could be heard, followed by faint voices in the hallway.

“Damon?! We’re back.”

“Coming!” My heart was threatening to jump out of my chest at any moment, so I took a few deep, calming breaths. Time to meet the in-laws.

I made my way to the front, my feet dragging on the floor. I was gonna be sick, I could feel it. Too fast, too soon, I arrived at the front door where Derek stood with his parents. His father looked just like Derek, albeit an older version of him. He had a lot more grey in his hair, and his eyes were a rich brown, but they still had the same features. The same strong jawline and the seemingly everpresent smile that I’ve gotten used to seeing.

“Ah, there he is! My new son!” He wrapped me in a big bear hug, nearly crushing me. He had a slight European accent, although it was difficult to place where he was from originally. “Ah, he smells really nice,” he said, sniffing. Derek’s mom slapped him on the arm.

“Dimitri!” She then looked at me, familiar green eyes staring back at me. The similarities ended there, though. She was a petite blonde, barely clearing five feet. Standing next to her, even I felt tall.

“I’m sorry about him, he’s a hugger, but you already knew that.”

“What? I was only stating a fact. His smell is very pleasant, no?” This prompted Derek’s mom, her name was Lauren I believe, to come over and give me a delicate sniff herself.

“Oh wow, you’re right.”

“Alright, that’s enough. Give Damon some room,” Derek said, coming over and pushing his dad away just a tab bit roughly. This only made Dimitri chuckle.

“My, someone’s a bit touchy. You know what will fix that, don’t you?” he said, wriggling his eyebrows.

“Dad!” Derek’s face was now beet red.

“Oh come on, we’re all adults here. I’m sure you pounced on your little Omega the minute he got home.” I could’ve died on the spot and been okay with it, I really could, but thankfully, Lauren decided to step in and corral her husband.

“Sexual innuendo aside, welcome to the family, Damon. Derek’s been talking about you nonstop.” Now, it was my turn to blush.

“Really? What has he been saying?”

“Oh, all kinds of things. Your love of books, for one. He thinks it’s really cute how you get so excited about them. Hmm, what else...”

“Your cooking. He absolutely loves it. Can’t wait to try it out for myself. I hear Derek heave a deep sigh behind me.

“You think that as you get older, your parents will run out of ways to embarrass you,” Derek said. Dimitri snorted.

“Right, like that will ever happen.”

“It’s one of the responsibilities of a parent to make sure their children are truly embarrassed any chance we get. Especially in front of their partner. I’m sure your parents did the same,“ Lauren said, smiling. I shrug noncommittally.

“Not really. I’ve been with the OPS for about twenty years, believe it or not...” I started to wonder then how my life might have looked like had my own Omega father not passed away so early in my life. And had my Dad not turned to drinking to cope with his loss.

Derek took my hand, pulling it away from my face where I unconsciously began to finger my scar, a reminder of the last time I ever saw my Dad again.

“Sorry, it’s become a habit of mine.” Derek’s reply was to only kiss the back of my hand. He was- no is such a sweet guy. I’m lucky to have him in my life.

“We’re the ones who should be sorry. I didn’t know you and your family were... estranged. But you have a new family now,” Lauren said, giving me a hug of her own. Standing there in her embrace, I felt the parental comfort that I had lacked for a long time.

“Okay! The mood has officially gotten way too morose already. Anyone else feel like they could use a drink?“ There was an enthusiastic chorus of yes, but I decided to pass. I wasn’t one to drink much. In fact, I hardly drink at all. I’ve seen what it can do to a person firsthand.

We had started to make our way to the family room when the doorbell rang again.

“Perfect timing, those’ll be your brothers. I’ll go get them. Oh, I’m so excited!” Lauren said before scurrying away. A moment later we could hear her squeal as she saw her boys and grandchild for the first time in a while. There was a clattering of noise, as voices overlapped and people greeted each other, falling into a comfortable rhythm.

“Ready to meet the rest of the family?” Derek asked. I shrugged, knowing full well I didn’t do well with crowds. But I tried to think positively. This was Derek’s family, and they all seemed to get along pretty well. Besides, I met his parents and they seemed nice enough.

“Oh, you’ll be fine. This is like a mini family reunion. Come.” Dimitri took my arm and dragged me away from the safety that was Derek’s presence. I looked back to Derek for help but he only shrugged himself before giving me a thumbs up. Great.

I was probably overthinking things. I had to think positive thoughts. Chanting ‘Positive thoughts’ like a mantra in my head, I let myself be pulled away to meet the rest of the family.
