Chapter Forty

RIAN

I’m a man of my word. Which is why even though my head is whirring with a million ideas of how to free Rebekka from losing Remington Publishing, my tongue is slowly sliding between her legs, waking her up the precise way I promised.

She tastes fucking amazing. I pin her thighs to the bed as her eyes fly open and her lower back arches off the bed.

‘Good morning.’ I pause, waggling my eyebrows.

‘It certainly is.’ She sighs happily as I tease her, working her slowly with my mouth and my hands.

‘You’re so fucking good at that,’ she moans, lifting her head off the pillow to get a better view. ‘But please, I need to feel you inside of me.’

‘Patience,’ I murmur, licking her clit, savouring every second.

Her hips jolt upwards. ‘I’ve been patient for three years, ten weeks and five days. Patience is fucking overrated.’ She grins, fingers digging into my shoulder blades.

‘That, I have to agree with.’ I crawl up the bed, running my tongue up over her stomach, pausing to tease each nipple as I nudge my hips between her legs.

She wraps them around my waist, heels digging into my back as she pushes me deeper inside her.

I ease myself in and sigh with sheer carnal pleasure, thrusting into her again and again.

‘Your pussy is pulsing for me,’ I moan into her mouth.

‘It’s greedy for your cum.’ She grinds herself against me.

‘Wait until we’re trying for a baby. I’ll have to cum inside you at least five times a day.’ I thrust into her the thought of filling her womb with my child makes me feral.

She stills underneath me, hooded eyes fly open. ‘You want to have babies with me?’

Fuck.

Did I overstep?

I rest my weight on my elbows. My cock is deep inside her core, and I can feel the tiny telltale tremors assuring me her release is shimmering on the horizon. Unless me and my big mouth have ruined it. Trust me to talk myself out of a ride.

‘I er…’ I suppose there’s no point holding back now. ‘Yes. I’d fucking love you to have my babies.’

Her core clenches. ‘That’s the hottest thing anyone’s ever said to me.

’ Her mouth melds to mine, tongue thrusting against mine as my hips thrust against hers.

Her fingernails dig into my back, hard enough to pierce the skin.

She screams out my name as her pussy milks me, sending me spiralling into my own decadent oblivion.

‘Fuck, that was amazing,’ she pants. ‘Can we stay in bed and do that all day?’

I laugh into her neck, struggling to catch my breath. ‘We can, but we’re going out tonight.’

‘Where?’ She cocks her head. ‘We’re supposed to be keeping a low profile,’ she reminds me.

‘Which is why we’re going to one of my clubs.’

‘Which one?’ A tiny frown creases her brow.

‘The Luxor Lounge.’

‘The strip bar?’ Her eyes widen.

‘Technically, it’s a gentlemen’s club.’ I smirk.

‘Where technically, women dance around poles naked.’ She rolls her eyes.

‘Are you jealous?’ Laughter presses on my chest.

‘No.’ She huffs, not fooling either of us. ‘Excuse me if I’m not entirely comfortable with my boyfriend being surrounded by hot, naked young women desperate to bang the boss, who also happens to be Dublin’s most eligible billionaire.’ Her cheeks flush.

‘You are jealous!’ There’s no stopping the laughter now.

She shoves me off her body playfully. ‘Am not.’ She pretends to inspect her cuticles.

‘Is this our first fight?’ I roll onto my back and pull her on top of me. She squeals as I restrain her wrists with my fingers.

‘I’m not fighting.’ She refuses to meet my eye.

‘Yeah, sure, any minute now, you’ll say, “I’m fine. Everything is fine,” then we’ll both know you’re lying!’ I can’t help it. The laughter keeps bubbling out of me. ‘You’re so sexy when you’re possessive.’

‘Did you call me a liar?’ Her eyes narrow.

‘Did you just call me your boyfriend?’ Touché.

The flush on her cheeks darkens to a crimson. ‘Well, you did say you wanted to put babies in me, so call me presumptuous, but I kind of assumed.’ She shrugs sheepishly.

‘If I get my way, I’ll be your husband—I won’t be an asshole like the last one.

’ Her eyes flick to mine; they still harbour a hint of doubt.

I don’t blame her for being a bit jealous.

Not when Anthony has been cheating on her for years.

But I need her to know I’m different. ‘I love you, Rebekka Remington. I will never look at another woman again. I don’t have to, because the one I’ve always wanted is in my bed, balancing on my balls, and I’ve just told her I’m so fucking obsessed with her that I need to put babies in her. ’

A small smile tugs her lips. ‘Saved by your quick tongue, yet again. So why are we going to the strip bar?’

I roll my eyes. ‘We’re going to the gentlemen’s club because the security is tight. My club. My rules. No one gets in without a membership. Anthony’s has been rescinded. Not that he knows that yet.’

Her nostrils flare. ‘That bastard. Wasn’t one mistress enough for him?’

I choose not to answer. I know too many of his dirty secrets, and I refuse to let her suffer the pain of them. ‘We’re meeting my brothers there. Family meetings are always held there.’

‘Are you sure you want me there?’

‘It’s your life we’re discussing—our future.

It’s only right you should be there. If the location bothers you, I can try and switch it, but Anthony probably has eyes on all of us.

If everyone comes here, he could guess that’s where you are.

Where meeting at my club isn’t out of the ordinary.

If he hasn’t discovered we’re together yet, and he still thinks you’re with Avery, this won’t blow our cover. ’

She thinks about it for a second. I release her wrists, and she places her palms on my pecs. ‘We’ll go to the Luxor Lounge.’ Her eyes meet mine then. ‘I have to admit, I’m kind of curious about the place.’

‘There’s nothing to be curious about. Women dance. Men pay. The membership fee is hefty. That club provides over half of my annual income. It’s lucrative. Sex sells.’

‘I think you should open a ladies’ club, with male “dancers”, yep.’ She nods. ‘That’s what this city needs.’

‘What it needs is baby Becketts’ I thrust my hips up and she shrieks. ‘Sooner rather than later.’

I just hope my plan works, because if it does, it will solve everything. If it doesn’t, it could leave both of us with nothing—apart from each other, that is.

It’s a chance I’m willing to take, because she’s the only thing I ever wanted anyway.
