Chapter 26

Watching her walk into the police station gives me such satisfaction. When I overheard that cunt tell sweet peach, she set up a meeting; I was ready to sink my knife into her fucking throat. When I saw that smile on her face, I knew I had to destroy it. So when I texted that fucker Dean, I knew he would help me out.

Me: Need a favor

Dean: Yeah?

Me: One of your pals has a meeting set with a girl, Aluxis Vega

Dean: Picture attachment received

Dean: Okay, the plan?

Me: I want you to change up the meeting and meet with her instead.

Dean: Alright. What do you need me to do?

Me: Crush that smile. Tell her there is no update.

Dean: Anything else?

Me: Yeah, one more thing. Make the evidence disappear.

Dean: Done

When she walks past me, towards the entrance of the station; I can’t help but sniff the air, smelling her peachy scent. Before her scent can be washed away with the stale air in this fucking place, I watch her walk out, mascara running down her face. Knowing I caused it makes my dick rock fucking hard. I watch as she climbs into the back of the SUV, and just as she reaches to close the door, her eyes lock with mine. Soon enough, sweet peach. I can’t wait until I have her under me again. I’ll be the nightmare she can’t ever escape.

Sitting in front of my screens, I scan through the feeds. Stopping on a pacing Cade, he has the phone to his ear. Reaching over, I click the button connecting me to his line.

“Have you found the person responsible for the texts and videos?” Kevin asks.

Cade sighs into the line, running his hand down his face.

“No. Whoever it is, is good. They have fucked with the cameras and system. They were in her room, but by the time we got in there, she was alone.” Cade responds.

“Did she see a face?” Kevin asks.

“No. We convinced her it was a nightmare by reassuring her the cameras didn’t pick up on anything.” Cade says, the aggravation in his voice coming through.

“Keep me updated.” Kevin says, “Any progress made with her?”

“No.” Cade growls into the phone.

“Step it up. We don’t need her to run off before everything is in place.” Kevin says.

“I don’t think she knows anything.” Cade says.

“Good. Then we don’t have to worry about her discovering anything.” Kevin says.

I chuckle. You should be worried about what I have planned.

“What are the plans with her?” Cade asks.

“After we gain her connections, we kill her,” Kevin says. “She isn’t needed after that.”

“How do you know about all this, anyway?” Cade asks.

“A friend. What’s with all the fucking questions, Cade?” Kevin asks. “You having second thoughts, boy?” The anger in his voice coming through.

“Of course not.” Cade says, gripping the phone in his hand.

“Good. Stop fucking questioning me. We are doing this for them. Don’t fucking forget that!” Kevin shouts, before the line goes dead.

“Fuck!” Cade screams, throwing his phone into the wall.

I pull up Cade’s number and attach the voice message, hitting send. I watch as he plays the message, tears slipping down his face, and I smile. Standing up, I grab my phone, heading towards the door. Time to deal with that prick, Kevin. He has become a problem. But first, I need to see my sweet peach.
